"As soon as we arrived, we were served chips and dips while our drink orders were taken. Each of us ordered something different from the menu, and our meals arrived quickly after we placed our orders. I typically go for the Carne Asada, and I have to say it was the best I've had—the beef was thicker and bursting with flavor. To our delight, my grandson absolutely loved his meal and still had room for dessert! We couldn’t resist trying the desserts either, including cheesecake tacos, flan, and fried ice cream. They were all delicious. The staff was both professional and friendly, making us feel right at home. I will definitely be coming back!"

"My wife, after going there for a company event, took me for my first time. Edgar was the same waiter/ bartender that had served her the first time. He is amazing! Super friendly, very knowledgeable, suggesting food that was amazing and serving drinks that were equally as amazing! The place was medium as far as busyness, we went right before dinner rush about 4:30pm. Easy parking, fast service, decent prices. Out of the Hispanic restaurants we have been to around Smithfield THIS one is in the top three! I strongly recommend El Barzon to locals and travelers seeking authentic Hispanic food. "The BEST! I took a friend here last night. He’s eaten literally all over the world and he stated it was the best Mexican food he’s had. The portions were huge, although he had nothing leftover ? I ordered the carnitas, which were huge chunks of perfectly cooked pork and he ordered the Texicana, which was beef, chicken and shrimp. During the meal, I kept hearing moaning and groaning and he could not quit eating! He also ordered the margarita which was only $2.99 and EXCELLENT and strong. Service as always is fantastic along with wonderful salsa, homemade tortillas and quacamole. I had another meal left of the carnitas. This is a must visit if you’re in town!
