"Banh mi in Irvine is a hard find, or am I just not looking in the right places?! I was having some mad cravings for salt and pepper shrimp which snowballed into a full blown need for Vietnamese food. My search literally lead me to shrimp, bun bo hue, banh xeo, and finally to banh mi. And to be honest, I didn't find a single location with all of the above, but Ha Long did check off 3 out of the 4. I've been a serial Postmates user for the past few months, so maybe my options on the app was limited, but what kind of irked me most was just the exorbitant prices of the items. I probably should have just called it in, but I didn't want to leave the house, so I decided to just order the banh mi sandwiches to eat them throughout the week versus ticking off a long list of cravings. I decided to order 2 combo and 2 pork belly. The sandwiches are packed with all the fixings pickled radish/carrots, cilantro and jalapeños. The meats were nicely portioned and packed into the baguette as well, so at $6 $7 a pop didn't seem too bad for Irvine standard. Since I had ordered a few as lunch options during the week at home, they stored well in the fridge. When I wanted to eat them, I just removed the cilantro/jalapeño before popping them into the oven to warm and crisp up for about 5 10 minute at 350 degrees. Quick meal and very filling! My preferred is prob the combo one. The pork belly ended up being a little too greasy, but I'd like to try their other options. Maybe I'll go in for pick up for a change to get my fix for salt and pepper shrimp and bun bo hue, but the cravings have been subdued for now."

"this is a five stars in taste and service from our experience. this is our second day in a series with Viet food during our vassallen here. I had a cousin who recommended this place to my family and told me that she had the money about the good one here. we had the eier role first and it was good. I love how the places out here rejoice together with the order of the eier roles put in a bed of pleasure. pho came and they had culantro that I find is a must if I pho esse. most places leave this from the typical pear sprouts and basilikum plate. I don't care about the lemon they offer, because I'm more like a lime type. in this case, however, it was not so important that the pho was delicious. it was better, then all I have in ny for the last three years quite close or on par or maybe even hit a good amount of places in texas. the only thing it is not best is the mother, but it is up there. the bowl came hot as hot as I can treat as I ate the half of the bowl without hoisin or siracha, because I didn't think it needed something that was perfect. my wife in the second half and it was still hot for her to eat when she started. next we had bo la lot. these are two thumbs to all the correct fixations and the fish sauce here is done right. I didn't have to compare it anywhere on the island, but it was like I had a job and sitting on the beach and watching the sunset somehow well. Finally, the main thing we had actually come for was the canh chua and ca kho to after suppe with my rice, which I laughed and was mad at me because I did not come here yesterday for day 1 viet eat. I recommend this place for viet food, the service was phenomenal, but we have spoken Vietnamese so there were no language barriers. I saw them interact with a not viet person and they were very accommodating for him, as not sure as some of the other reviews received bad service."
