"I was so looking forward to eat at this restaurant as my friend has been going here for many years since the time she lived in BX until now years after moving to the DC area. She has always raved about their food so we knew it was a must to stop by there last night to get our plates of food to take with us back home. We bought rez guisado con arroz y habichuelas. She also bought a small portion of chicken guisado because she noticed the portion of the rez guisado they served was small. Everyone’s demeanor seemed as though they were just ready to just close shop and be on their way. Granted it was late when we arrived (around closing) but there was still food available and rendering proper customer service and good food is a must at any hour for a food establishment. One particular lady was not very pleasant and when I tried to carry a short conversation with her about how we were taking the food back home to show how excited we were, she didn’t say a word to me until I repeated the comment to her in Spanish twice more loudly the second time (although politely) so she could tell I knew she was being rude. Her reaction when she did respond was “ah ok” and then she proceeded to serve the rest of my order. Also my portion of red beans/habichuelas were served in a small plastic container and when I opened it today to reheat my plate of food at home there was literally no beans and nothing but the sauce in the container (check the pictures). The rez guisado was basically three chunks of meat with three potatoes and barely any sauce was added. The yellow rice was very dry as well. Overall the taste of the food was mediocre and so was the service. My friend says the quality of the food has definitely changed and for my first experience it will definitely be the last."

"Dear owner, Am a person with integrity and I believe whoever does wrong to others eventually, karma will get you.But to anyone who’s reading this take ur biz else where. This patron shouldn’t be supported at all. He doesn’t care about ur needs or what you thinks.Their workers brake every Covid rules, and have some sort of ear problems cuz the music so loud there, that when you call to order basically their yelling over the phone. Or there’s family or friends members hanging out in the kitchen/front without a mask. Is no lie that 75% of the reviews of this restaurant are pretty much the same, so, there’s no negativity to be spread. Seems to me you haven’t gone thru all of them. THATS SAD!!I have ordered from this place twice and there’s always a problem, wether the order gets to me wrong, something is missing, and or an order is really small for the over priced food supposedly to be for two person be able to eat charging 28$ It’s an atrocity, NO TRUST! I understand we on different times and there’s food shortage but not to rip off ur clients without advising them.In the other hand your responses to clients are so vague and unprofessional, that you always have an excuse for everything. And in the resturant biz that doesn't work. Your lack of intelligence don’t understand that negatives comments shouldn’t be taken for granted but to turn it into a positive one for the welfare of your biz going forward.I will leave it as that Dear Patron! This is FORT LEE, NOT Washington Heights!!!You do deserve less than one NEGATIVE rate is sad to read all ur reviews!!!“LA CHOZITA” is an authentic Dominican Restaurant and they also are on Doordash their food is very consistent, they listen to client and very polite. I have no biz on this biz but they deserve to be exposed for the real Dominican ppl who likes to be treated with kindness."
