What a fabulous place to eat! Really a fun and quaint little place. Go early as it fills up fast. Enjoyed the food thoroughly.

The food is amazingly not ruin the fillet with steak sauce it is so good! And the bread pudding should die. Our server Melissa knows her stuff and the bartender proposal on the spot where I bought a bottle!

Whenever we come to Rapid City, we have go to Alpine Inn. We’ve never had a bad meal or service. My sister and I got smart and started ordering one meal to share so we could save room for dessert. They are to die for......

What a beautiful place in Hill City. The hotel/restaurant is so beautifully decorated and illuminated. You only have two items on the menu for dinner, but what good food. The fillet mignon melted in the mouth. The dessert menu was excellent. We had the cream brulee The service was impeccable. Staff made you welcome. This restaurant was recommended by my nephew who used to live in the area. I had no idea what to expect, and boy was it great surprise. The only thing on the dinner menu is filet mignon, at about $15, for the large steak, salad, baked potato, and Texas toast. What a great price! The dessert menu is to die for! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely go back. They don't accept credit cards, so stop at the ATM for cash.

This is the second time we've eaten here and both times we had a great experience. This time we had the bratwurst and the pork schnitzel. Both were very good. The spetzel, sauerkraut, cabbage, and onions were excellent accompaniments. We also tried the German potato salad and it was very good. Portion sizes are fairly large too. Service was excellent. After eating all that we tried a couple of desserts. It was a mistake. We couldn't finish them. The warm chocolate cake with ganache (really chocolate syrup) was excellent. The chocolate mouse was just ok. My one complaint: cash only.

My husband and I were on vacation in the Black Hills this week and met with some friends in Hill City who recommended the Alpine Inn. I have Celiac disease and I am gluten-free. Our server was very friendly and also know about keliac and gluten-free diets. The bacon wrapped fillet mignon was made perfect. Being gluten-free, I had my meal without the Texas Toast. The salad wedge with Ranch Dressing was delicious and refreshing, although a little less ranch would have been good. Next time I know to ask it on the page.
