The food was tasty, earning a solid rating of 4 out of 5, but what really stood out was the exceptional service, which I would rate a perfect 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was also fantastic, making it a delightful place to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend trying their waffle fries – they were a standout dish!"

"Went to Desperados with 3 people. Ordered Walleye, and Two New York Steaks; because they were out of sirloin. The waitress forgot to serve us the Chili Fries we ordered. So we asked her to disregard.Once we got our plates, the sides were forgotten, and the “Medium” steaks were bleeding to the point the center was still cold from the fridge. The steaks were completely raw. (Photo attached)We pointed the cooking out, and the restaurant elected to take the steaks back to the kitchen. Keep in mind we are paying well over $20 per plate. Once the kitchen took the steak back, they returned it well done to the point it was almost charred.The waitress was nice. But the restaurant was very understaffed. The cook seemed very lousy. The price was very expensive and over the top for the service and quality of food."

"Such a great place went here for a wine tasting. I've ordered their wines online to be shipped so I wanted to try some wines I've never had from winery. Got a wine tasting reservation and Alexis was so nice and knowledgeable during the wine tasting. This place is such a great winery. Staff are very friendly and love the location.Also love the brewery next door that is owned by them too is top notch as well!!"

"We sat down and waited for 10 minutes for someone to knowledge is. She sat 2 glasses of water down on the table. My husband picked up his glass and there was something floating in the water. He said there is something floating in it. She grabbed it and walked away. Came back and spilled water all over. Didn't say a word or clean it up. My husband asked what's in the breakfast burrito? She said, I don't know,but breakfast is over. She walked away. She came back read the ingredients to him. Then walked away again. Waited as bout another 10 minutes,she came back to take our order. First I said I wanted a cup of coffee, then told her my order. My husband told her his order, then walked away. I asked for a large box for my food. The boy waiter brought a small box, my husband said we need a large box. He said, I can't give you a large one. So my husband asked the waitress for a large box. She brought over medium size.My husband told her what waiter had said. She said well we just hand out small ones. I said it would take 3 small ones. We enjoy using the small and medium boxes. We have been going there for years. But after today, we will not be returning. I will go to Tin city from now on! Plus they used old oil for the chicken strips and fries. We threw it in the trash after we walked out the door! Very rude waitress and waiter today!"

"1 Fudge and coffee are good. No issues.2 The lady in charge when we went yesterday was incredibly rude to her staff. It made me and my family very uncomfortable. She completely belittled and embarrassed this poor kid, who looked like he wanted to cry after. (And clearly he is new, because she was talking about how to handle a squeaky sound from the coffee machine. She said Are you listening? What did I tell you? This is how you do it *takes over and lets him try nothing*. What did I say about you telling me okay when you don 't understand? She ended up making my sister 's drink wrong, ironically getting someone 's dairy correct is super important, and the young staff confirmed it was wrong with my sister. There 's no reason for a trainer to belittle someone, especially publicly, and especially when they are also imperfect. Have a little grace, lady! He 's clearly a good worker and wants to do well. Super uncomfortable experience. My Mom and I checked on him after. Hope it gets better for him."

"I think the pics speak for themselves. The tomato looks fresh! The bun was fridge cold. 1st time for me trying the best Buffalo burger in the Hills . If I agree with them on THAT claim, then we 're both wrong! Dry and overdone. Service not impressive at all. Had to get my own napkins. If you want to share a plate, plan to pay an additional $8 for that. That 's right. They 're getting ready to close for the season so don 't expect much. NEVER a good sign when waitress tells you"

"I visited Harry's on Sunday at 5:45 PM with my family after a round of golf at Quadna Hills. The restaurant was staffed with three servers who were managing both the dining area and the bar. The special of the day was a half rack of pork ribs with fries. We ordered a fish sandwich, a cheeseburger, and the special. All three meals were decent, ranging from okay to good. They offered three types of barbecue sauce: honey bourbon, sweet and spicy, and sweet and smoky. I believe Harry's deserves another chance to see if they can enhance an already acceptable dining experience. The prices for food were quite reasonable as well."

"My husband and I were on vacation in the Black Hills this week and met with some friends in Hill City who recommended the Alpine Inn. I have Celiac disease and I am gluten-free. Our server was very friendly and also know about keliac and gluten-free diets. The bacon wrapped fillet mignon was made perfect. Being gluten-free, I had my meal without the Texas Toast. The salad wedge with Ranch Dressing was delicious and refreshing, although a little less ranch would have been good. Next time I know to ask it on the page. For dessert I enjoyed one of their two gluten-free options, the cream brule that is my favorite dessert. It was heavenly. I recommend the Alpine Inn to everyone, including everyone with Celiac or who is gluten-free for any health reason. We will definitely come back. Pretty friendly."

"The scene: A hungry family after a long day of tour Mount Rushmore. A child already reduced to tears after finding nothing in this tourist trap called Custer. Hope had almost left out when we discovered the sign for a diner. Would that be our salvation? We enter the door and sit right away. Menus appear with inexpensive food and a wide selection of burgers. We order, and a short time later our food arrives. And... our salvation has been found! Wonderful burgers, sandwiches and pommes for the whole family. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly, and the ravenous famines fade and returned the children to their normally well-deserved state. Tldr: 5/5 stars good food good service."

"My family stopped there on the way back to Madison, WI. We met other Wisconsin people there. There were so rightwing posters that showed some of the weird stereotypes they have of urban people. The food was good, and the people were nice. I wouldn't avoid then on account of the rightwing stuff because the signs indicated they won't be bullied by political liberals, and it's good for them to see people like my family in Madison have no thought or desire to do so."

"This restaurant is decent and seems to be improving over time. We dined here a few years ago, and the quality and prices have remained consistently average. For a tourist town, I find the food to be better than most. I ordered the fish and chips, which was just okay. My husband had the buffalo steak—while it was satisfactory, we had recently enjoyed an incredible steak dinner in Wyoming, which made it hard to fully appreciate his meal. It was prepared as he requested, but overall, it was just okay. I believe it would be a nice spot for a burger and a beer, especially if you can sit outside. We would consider returning for that. The service was very attentive, which we appreciated."

"There have been a lot of changes the past couple of years to make this place great. But, when they have financial discrepancies and not wanting to address them with customers when you complain, it doesn’t matter how much improvements are made. Had a situation where they charged my credit card and then said the charge didn’t go through so they wanted cash. Paid in cash since I trusted what was being said. Then come to find out the charge did go through. Tried calling to resolve the discrepancy and the guy I spoke with acknowledged they had issues with their machine but the manager/owner would need to call back. After trying to get a hold of Amanda four additional times since then and no response, have to chalk it up to a bad $200 experience. Can’t say that I would ever go back with our group ever again. We liked the place and the food was decent but no way will we return when they screw the customers."

"I've been to several Pizza Huts across Northwest Kansas, and this one is just average. We typically order cheese sticks, super supreme pan pizza, and backyard BBQ pizza. Although the flavors were decent, we were let down by the minimal toppings on the super supreme pizza; it seemed more like a regular supreme pizza at first glance. Take a look at the attached photo and see for yourself. On a positive note, the staff was courteous, skilled, and efficient."

"The country-fried bacon was quite delicious—thick, lean bacon coated in batter, fried to a crispy perfection, and served with gravy for dipping. I'm glad I had the chance to try it, but I probably wouldn't order it again. For my main course, I had the fried bone-in pork chops. It came with two hand-breaded pork chops, accompanied by a salad, a roll, gravy, and a choice of two sides, all for just $10.99! The prices on the menu were very reasonable. The breading on the chops was golden and crispy, and it tasted fantastic. I have a feeling their chicken-fried steak would be amazing."

"The street tacos were so delicious that we made a point to eat them two days in a row during our week in the Black Hills. My only regret is not discovering this hidden gem earlier in our trip, as I would have loved to enjoy another round of chorizo tacos. I ended up buying a pound of the cozy blend before leaving. What I’m most excited about, though, is the possibility of enjoying live music or even taking the stage at an open mic night.
