"Amir's is a small convenience store that serves the best fried chicken and catfish I've ever tasted! Everything is freshly prepared, battered, and cooked to order. The chicken is exceptionally tender and juicy, perfectly coated with a crispy crust. The catfish is equally delicious. It's also the only place I know that offers gizzards, though they could use some improvement. While flavorful, they tend to be overcooked and tough. They would be excellent if boiled first to tenderize before being quickly fried. Don’t forget to ask for the lemon pepper seasoning after cooking—that really sealed the deal for me!"

I visited Amir’s last week for the first and final time. I ordered the family special, and while waiting, a baby mouse ran right past my feet. I will never come back! The food was as unpleasant as the restaurant’s smell—simply awful.
