Dame's Chicken And Waffles

on Sunday afternoon. the waiting time was approx. 40 min. plus an additional 30 for our food. it was definitely worth waiting. the chicken is perfectly tanned and extremely juicy. the skin was crispy and tasteful. absolute must try when in greensboro.

eat delicious and wait worth it! we come from charlotte to visit the greensboro science center and this is our place to eat normally! classic is our choice and it is always absolutely delicious! the personal here is always friendly and I recommend to stop everyone in the opposite and try some chicken and wail here!

My first time to this establishment. at least waited 45 minutes for a table, but damn, it was worth it. I 'll do it again. The "Buff Braham with cucumber salad was amazing, really refreshing. this place is a “must go” when we visit greensboro. others can claim to serve chickens, but nothing compares here. come early or plan to wait. it's worth waiting. we love absolutely love the whisky dry. also the vanilla moon pain is really good. the carolina sunrise mimose is worth trying. also the coffee is delicious. Surprisingly, the Ingwerbread-Waffle was quite delicious. if they like the taste of ingwerbread, they try it in any case! the personal is also above the level. our server zoe offers excellent service and made the entire experience top notch. we are coming back to the final.

Waiting time average about 20 minutes… Completely WORTH IT!!! You can call before heading out there to save some time from the waiting list. These are some serious Chicken and Waffles, large portions, perfect crispy chicken not greasy, not too seasoned, simply perfect. The Baryard Honcho was my favorite. A chicken cutlet, signature waffle, shmear of your choice, two eggs and grits with cheese if desired… Sooo yummmy!!! The staff very friendly, we had Bree serving us, she was AWESOME!!! Beautiful neighborhood in downtown Greensboro. Parking could be a challenge sometimes. You want a really southern brunch, this is the place… 100% recommended!!!

HORRIBLE!!! When we walked in a big unfriendly black guy was sitting down “playing” on his phone. I assumed he was the owner or manager. He kept his head down the entire time to keep from greeting us…the hostess was seating guest. When she came back to the hostess stand he immediately got off his phone and looked my partner up and down. After adding our names on the list the same guy that couldn’t greet us told us we couldn’t wait in the lobby. I respect that but I question why were they’re two other people standing in the lobby waiting. We came to visit from the Raleigh area when I say it’s “Alright”… I mean it’s alright! The service ambiance is average. Although the waitress was nice, she was not attentive. The waffle was heavy. It had a sprinkle of cinnamon to give it some taste. Not a good batter at all. The chicken was seasoned very good but dry from over cooking. The grease needed to be changed! The portion you get is not worth the price yes I understand things cost a little extra but still. I think the thing that bothered me the most is the lack of warm syrup. How do you put cold syrup in a container on a lukewarm waffle? Changes the taste enjoyment. Rookie moves! Then you offer a “smear of butter” that’s frozen. Whoe...

If I have to rate Dame's Chicken Waffles based on food......10 stars all the way. Customer service on the other hand is a 4. One can only enjoy absolutely delicious food when you also receive great customer service. However that is not top priority for this business cause the food is phenomenal and this place is always packed. So go with the mindset of just going in there, eating your food and get out of there ASAP. Take Out.....even better strategy. Now let's get to the food part.....did I mention.....ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We met there as a small group (9) in the area for an event at the coliseum. My daughter and I were the first to arrive and were told by the hostess per their policy we couldn’t be seated until our entire party arrived. If the restaurant was busy, I understand the policy. I’ve posted pictures of the mostly empty restaurant. I then tried to sit at an empty table by the door and was told by the hostess we had to wait outside. It was hot and we waited on metal benches on the sidewalk for 20+ minutes for the rest of our party to arrive. 8 out of 9 were there within 5 minutes but per policy the hostess would not seat us until all arrived.Keep in mind not a single customer went into the restaurant...
