"Coffee shop and eatery in one. (Technically has separate coffee shop, the Mug, inside the Bistro can order coffee to go at the coffee bar (with a bit of cafe style indoor seating right near door) or be seated at table for sit down meal experience (with both drink menu and food menu). Food menu includes breakfast/brunch foods as well as lunch foods (mostly salads, soup and sandwiches). Nice variety of options with very reasonable prices. Cute interior with quotes across the walls. Comfortable place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal alone or with a small group. There are booths along walls that seat 4 6 people and stand alone tables in the middle. During slow hours between meal rushes, a good place for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee while reading or studying."

"When you first enter this Japanese sushi restaurant, you’re welcomed with "irasshaimase," which means "please come in." If you're unsure of what to order, Chef James and his talented team are eager to recommend something delicious. Just tell them your preferences, and they'll guide you to the best options. Today, I tried the ono sushi with black pepper, creamy ono sushi, and the rock 'n' roll sushi. The rock 'n' roll sushi features a delightful mix of tuna, salmon, snapper, and avocado, all wrapped in cucumber. It was incredibly fresh, light, and refreshing, showcasing high-quality ingredients. We ended our meal with a flan and a bite of lemon to enhance the silky flavor. I didn’t take many pictures, but I assure you, I ordered plenty! The quality and freshness of the food are excellent for the price. When I bring my family, I have a little one who isn't a sushi fan and opts for fried chicken. Another child loves California rolls, making ordering a breeze! Meanwhile, my partner and I savor all kinds of delicious sushi and sushi-fusion dishes. There's truly something for everyone. On our last visit to the bar, we met a chef who frequents this place because it’s his favorite, and his friend brings him here weekly. They introduced us to many other mouthwatering items on the menu. So, if you’re looking for a tasty sushi spot that serves fresh and creative dishes, head to South Denton and support this local business. The restaurant has new owners now—Chef James and his family—who took over recently. When you go, find a spot at a table, the bar, or even a stand. "Ah, Kung-Fu Tea. I must say, this place is a real treat for those of us who appreciate the finer things in life. As I walked through the doors of this establishment, I couldn't help but feel a sense of superiority over the peasants who were just there for a quick fix of sugar and caffeine. But I digress, let's get down to the review.The first thing that struck me about Kung-Fu Tea was the overwhelming sweetness of their drinks, even when ordering half sweet. Now, I understand that some people may have a less refined palate and enjoy such pedestrian flavors, but for those of us with a more sophisticated taste, it can be quite off-putting. However, I must admit that despite the excessive sweetness, the drinks are still quite enjoyable.One standout item on the menu that I simply must mention is the popping coffee bubbles. "A few words are needed to help organize a fairly brief review, on the basis that when I last tried to eat at the location, it was under other management, as the short-lived Texican Tex-Mex restaurant, pre-COVID-19: From my sketchy memory, I recall that it was a very spacious patio area with connecting dining rooms, a relaxing space for intimate dining and special dates, a mere minutes walk from the downtown Denton square. "I don’t remember the name of our server, but we went here for the first time on Friday and had an excellent time. I have a lot of food allergies and trying somewhere new is always a risk. The moment I nervously let her know about my food allergies, she was very warm and accommodating, bringing me out a special menu and answering all of my questions. She even brought us out an ice cream sandwich menu that were made with macarons. It really made the experience having someone able to have knowledge about food allergens. When I was a server this is something I strived to do for others as well. Having food allergies suck! So many social gatherings are surrounded around food that I can’t eat. I have safe spots I like around town, but love to find new ones! Overall, it really made me feel welcome in the space and elevated my experience.
