"My husband and I were looking for a yummy and unique restaurant with healthier options on our way to Florida from Virginia. We took exit 57 because it looked like it had a lot of restaurants so we figured we'd see if we could find a nice place to try.Pulled into the Walmart parking lot to pull up our maps and check around us. We saw Fat Jack's as we pulled in. I barely glancedat the menu before we decided this was the place to try. We got seated right away (visited on a Thursday night at 7 and orderedour drinks and food pretty quickly. Didn't have to wait long and oh my goodness I wish I lived closer so i could try everythingelse. It was hands down the best steak I've ordered at a restaurant in years (please don't be too harsh if you order steak andit's not the best steak ever when you try...everyone has good and bad days....I was also very hungry when we stopped ???? . myhusband got the grilled scallops, collards, green beans and hushpuppies. I ordered my steak cooked medium (cooked perfectly , asweet potato and fried okra. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!!! And I also ordered 2 mixed drinks. One called Frozen Alligator and oneLava Flow. The Frozen Alligator was a surprising new and different drink I've never tried before. The Lava Flow was verydelicious too but similar to drinks I e had before so the Frozen Alligator was my favorite!! My husband loved their classicmargarita. Very happy we stopped here!! Our waitress was so sweet and fun to talk to!! I wish I remembered her name. We talkedabout travel and her fun fishing trip in Florida. She was awesome!! Highly recommend everyone stops by and tries Fat Jacks!!"

Stopped in for lunch on our drive back to Florida and have to say it was well worth stopping. Food came relatively quick. All was super delicious, especially the crispy hush puppies and sweet potato waffle fries which is huge in my opinion. Atmosphereand staff are all very friendly and prices for what we ordered were very reasonable. A win win in our book!

As we are traveling, this was our first visit to Fat Jack's. Our service was good. I ordered the chicken tenders with green beans and a baked sweet potatoe. All arrived hot, which goes a long way with me. I felt like my tenders were slightly overcooked and had more breading than I care for. That being said, it tasted good and that is just my personal opinion. My husbandordered the Seafood pasta. Description says it is in garlic sauce, so my husband was expecting a butter garlic sauce. Insteadit was in more of an Alfredo sauce. He doesn't care for that. Just needs to be clearer in menu description. Overall we felt itwas ok with good service. And by the way, I loved the Koi pond out front.
