"This is now my favorite restaurant! I give it a 10/10 rating. The Gluten Free roll is absolutely amazing! It is incredibly delicious and top-notch, unlike any other sandwich I've had in the past year of being Gluten Free. It was toasted perfectly. I appreciate that they don't rely on lettuce wraps. Despite arriving near closing time, I was served promptly and courteously. They offer discounts for military and law enforcement. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. I regret not ordering a second sandwich!"

Their subs, chili and mac-n-cheese are great! I do have to remember to make sure I got my cookie next time.

The restaurant offers outstanding service and serves high-quality, value meals. The atmosphere is always welcoming and clean, and I have never been disappointed with a meal here. The diverse menu makes it easy to come back for more, making it the best fast food sandwich/soup/hogie spot in the area.

I consistently enjoy the delicious sandwiches from this restaurant. The service is efficient and welcoming, and the establishment is always tidy and well-maintained. Despite not being conveniently located near my home, I am always willing to make the trip when I have a hankering for a Firehouse Sub!

The only reason its not a 5 star is because of the pricing, other than that the manager Brady really went above and beyond to please my grandmother who I brought with me for lunch. She had order the brisket sandwhich but its too fatty, and when she went back to ask for another the cooks didn't want to help. Brady stepped in and offered to help her. And made her one of the best sandwiches she's had in a while. View menu

Wanted to give a big shout out to this firehouse subs location. Top notch service and amazing customer service. Our dental office had a pretty good size order and the General Manager, Wilson, went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will definitely be using this location again. I cannot give enough praise. We are all thoroughly impressed with the service we received. And an extra bonus- all food was correct and delicious!!!!

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."
