"I 'm a big fan of Firehouse Subs. Especially that Engineer sub sandwich! This location has always had friendly workers when I 've been there. Sometimes there have been some long waits, but you can only make these hot subs so fast and they get really busy. My only really complaint is pretty minor, and may be a franchise wide issue? But I 've always tried to earn points with purchases and tracked them in their app on my phone. It used to be, any time I went into a Firehouse Subs, the PIN pad would ask for my phone number automatically to earn points. Now, it seems like it never does (at least at the Alton location) and I always have to remember to tell the cashier I want to earn points, and they have to key in my number manually."

In there and very nice from the beginning. Food was amazing and honestly better than Jimmy John's and Subway's. The food was so amazing. Everyone was very helpful and very nice. This is a simple 5-star review and I will be back soon!

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, all the drinks were unavailable, along with the lids and condiments. However, I don’t hold the staff responsible for this. They seemed overwhelmed and short-staffed. Although the wait was lengthy, it's understandable given the circumstances. Ultimately, the quality of the food made up for any shortcomings.

I'm a big fan! I come here on my lunch breaks and they do well at getting the sandwiches out to you. My only complaint is the soda just taste carbonated and no syrup... This had been weeks... I have even switched up different drinks and same issue. I mentioned it to one of the gentleman there and he didn't address the issue.
