"I ordered a combo with chili, and it was extremely hot—almost boiling. I managed to eat my sandwich and pickle, but they were still steaming and burned my mouth and throat. I requested that they put the chili in the fridge, but one of the staff members told me she couldn't serve it cold. Instead, she placed a very cold lid on top of it, presumably to keep the steam in. I decided to take it home, but even after being in the fridge, it was still boiling hot. I truly believe that this staff member doesn't understand how hot soup should be. It could have led to a serious situation! Someone really needs to retrain her or let her go before she hurts someone and they end up with a lawsuit."

Please note that the new gyro has only half as much meat as the hero, but it still tastes great! The service was outstanding—thank you!

They were a little slow to make my order, and there was an employee who was quite short with me when I asked how much longer I had to wait, but the sandwiches were great. Food: 5/5 View menu

I really like the hot sandwiches with pastrami or corned beef. I have been to FS a bunch, but only second tome at this location. I like them better than Jimmy John's and the bread is good too.Food: 5/5

I absolutely LOVE this firehouse subs meyerland plaza location! Words can’t even describe how awesome the staff members are. Every time I walk in I’m greeted with friendly smiles and positive attitudes. They even give recommendations on what toppings would go best with what subs. I’ve tried some of the recommendations and it did make my sub taste even better.

I tried to pick up a birthday party for my sick father, he can't get out. When I came to this place, they didn't let me have him because he wasn't there. I explained to the worker the situation of my father and even showed him his phone with the app and coupon and id. They didn't leave me yet. Both the worker and the manager (I accepted) were extremely rude and insensitive. It almost seemed like they were watching me get frustrated. I tried everything I could to let them know that I did not try “scam” as he claims. The worker said he loved his job and couldn't help me in any way. It was the worst experience ever.

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
