"Every once in a while you “find” a great place that has been right in front of you all along. High Thyme is one of those places! We came in for dinner for the first time recently and were blown away and couldn’t believe it has been an option for us for so many years and we just have been missing out. The food was incredible, portions generous, service friendly and knowledgeable and the wine was very reasonably priced with great selection. We arrived right at 5 and the dining area had plenty of tables available but it appeared as though the bar may have opened up a bit earlier because every stool was already filled. By 5:30 the dining room was also packed (this was a Saturday night in between Christmas and New Year’s for reference). All in all we are thrilled to find another great spot on Sullivan’s and can’t wait to go back. Definitely aspiring regulars."

Got really lucky on a Friday night in season of snagging a fabulous table. Drinks were great. Food and service were fabulous. Worth the wait if you get in the list.

I didn't have a meal, but I really enjoyed the service and atmosphere at the bar. The price per person was $10-20. The service and atmosphere were both rated a 5 out of 5.

A must try while in the area. We just bought a home on Pawley’s Island and this is one of our favorite new spots. The risotto is the best. The duck is delicious! Wonderful staff as well. View menu

After we ate at High Thyme in Sullivan's Island last night I've thought a lot about what to say about it. Not because it was a bad experience those are easy to write about, but because I couldn't put into words what the experience was really like. We we

One of the best meals we have had in Mt Pleasant/Charleston. Hot food, hot! This place is fresh, inviting and charming. Wine list was great, reasonable. The service was wonderful thanks Casey! The spinach and mushroom risotto (I added scallops) was the best I’ve had. Highly recommend any food here must go! It’s on our list now to bring family and friends that visit. We had a great dinner on the terrace! Parking is a bit challenging on a Friday night, but they have some spots before/on the side of the building. Come first, serve first. We were able to sit immediately as a party of 3 at 6:00 on Friday. Wine and beer lists have many choices, there are also a handful of cocktails. No zero evidence for the sober crowd. There were 3 specials and we tried them all! Everything was very delicious. Menu prices seem reasonable and service was attentive, without overwhelming. A solid option in total!

Always in my top 5 in Charleston at any moment. The absolute best staff, best service and consistently good food. This is a great place. If you have a crowd with varied taste, there are beef, options, seafood options, and pasta. The menu is small and changes fairly often and I can’t recommend the specials enough. The cauliflower dip is absolutely to die for, and they are seared tuna, the appetizer, or the entrée is incredible. The dishes are always creative, the ingredients are fresh, and it’s always just an overall wonderful dining experience.

"However, my biggest complaint was about the pitcher and saucer setup in the back dining room by the water. I'm not sure if there are other similar setups in the restaurant, but this was my experience. It was completely unhygienic! They kept the pitchers right behind the guests, where hair and other debris could easily fall into them or come into contact. I only noticed the setup when one of the servers grabbed a pitcher, and I felt a wet smack on my back, realizing my hair had been in it and had fallen onto the saucers below. We informed the staff about what happened, and they changed the water and attempted to put it back. I refused, explaining how unhygienic it was and that it could happen again. Surely, I couldn't be the first person this has happened to. Eventually, another server discreetly tried to take the pitcher back, and once again, it caught my hair. To prevent them from placing it back, I put a salt shaker on top of the plates. (I’ve attached a picture to show how close it was.) On the other side of the aisle, we noticed a similar situation where a man kept taking off his hat and brushing his head against the saucers and pitcher behind him. Because of this experience, I won't be returning, and I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Even though the food quality was decent, there are many better places to spend your money in Charleston. If this is how they operate in the dining room, I can only imagine what health codes they might be violating in the kitchen."
