"Iron Age is a Korean BBQ joint where your server is your genie you ask kindly and they deliver! Our server Isaac was the coolest, he was kind and extremely attentive. Having to cook your own protein may seem overwhelming, but with the help of your server they make it approachable and easy. I like that you pay one price and you can order any protein you want! We tried the spicy pork bulgogi (fantastic), Iron Age steak (my favorite), seasoned steak, and both the regular/Hawaiian beef bulgogi. We also grilled veggies and a steam egg. The steamed egg was delicious on the rice, but the veggies were unseasoned which was a bust. I loved the assortment of dipping sauces and was underwhelmed by the sides. The mango soju is made in house and it is delicious!I'd like to to warn you this place is bumping! The noise can be overstimulating, but it is truly an experience you'll never forget! It is a place best enjoyed in a fun group!"

Pretty good food but the portion sizes are small and they limit the amount of food you can have at once at the table. Otherwise the service is quick and the atmosphere is pretty lively.

The food took too long to cook, especially in between different meats. The service was okay, but the gratuity charge was high. It was a new experience for me, but I will not be trying it again.

I tried Korean BBQ for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the great food and service. The marinated meat was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. I would give it a perfect score of 10 out of 10. View menu

We enjoyed our visit to Iron Age today. It was fun to cook our own meat. All the fermented vegetables were delicious. Thank you to our server Sai who made our first visit memorable. Sai checked in with us frequently and offered suggestions and was very helpful.

Always enjoy our visits to Iron Age in Catonsville. I'm a willing partner when my friend would drive from Delaware just to go to Iron Age. She moved to South Carolina so I suppose our visits will be less frequent. We especially love the salad and the dressing. But it's always a wonderful experience. Thank you.

The experience is much more enjoyable when they let you cook the food yourself. Occasionally, they tend to take over, which diminishes the experience. The food is quite good! The beef bulgogi is my absolute favorite! I adore the sauce sampler, they complement the meats perfectly. I'm completely hooked on this place. I just wish it weren't so far away. View menu

Came here with a large party for a combination mother's Day/birthday party. Restaurant was super clean, and the wait wasn't bad at all. The meats were great, and the service was amazing. Our server Issac was incredibly attentive to the table, very polite, and prompt with everything throughout the meal. He really went above and beyond to make it a great experience. Great experience overall.

Overall, the experience was okay, The quality of food was good. However, this is the third korean bbq establishment I've been to and I would rank this one last. First, there is a 90 min time limit. We were celebrating a birthday and 90 mins just wasn't enough time to enjoy it. They are stingy with the portions. We could only order two meats at a time. Also, they do not have hot pot, mussels, fried chicken wings or a sauce bar. I won't be back. I do recommend T pot in Gambrills, MD.

"I have come to this place for years but after a nightmare a few months ago I have to share my piece. Let’s start with the not so serious but still very irritating. I used to get their malai kofta several times a month. Recently, within the last year, they went from giving 4 kofta to 3 and they definitely were being shaped smaller. And my partner noticed that the portion of paneer in his paneer masala was also consistently smaller. FOR MORE MONEY! Now for the horrible. This restaurant was narrowed down to be the (alleged) definitive place where I got a strain of e.coli that almost KILLED ME. I had to be hospitalized and get blood transfusions. It was one that was deadly enough that the city got alerted and called me! They told me they “absolutely must know what I ate and where it came from.” I started getting hallmark symptoms 3 days after eating at the restaurant, and the health official could confidently say it was that meal as everyone in my household ate the same things as me SANS the restaurant and they were fine. Do you know how you get infections like this? Poor meat handling and cross contamination of preparing food. I’m well aware that food borne illnesses can happen to anyone, but I have to speak up for others who also got food poisoning after eating here, didn’t put two and two together, and didn’t feel the need saying their piece on google reviews. I have no been back. This restaurant is a shell of what it used to be. I miss it pre COVID but after what happened, I don’t feel safe returning. Please be aware!"
