"During my most recent visit on a Wednesday evening, the atmosphere seemed calm while we were warming up, but just 10 minutes before our tee time, a group of 10 guys arrived at the tee box. They were preceded by a group of 6, and as we waited to tee off, we noticed several groups of 6 or more finishing the 9th hole. It seems Mariner's is okay with accommodating large groups, which encourages these sizable parties to return. I don’t mind larger groups as long as they maintain a good pace, but we found ourselves stuck behind these larger parties, and it took us 2 hours and 5 minutes to complete our round on one of the shortest courses in the Bay Area. The pro shop mentioned that these large groups often book three tee times back-to-back. Unfortunately, they waited until the last booking they made before teeing off as a group of 10, causing a backlog that started at hole #1 and persisted throughout our game. If you're looking for a quick 9 holes, I would recommend considering other options."

The restaurant was quite nice and somewhat empty today. We arrived, parked, and now enjoying a beer.

Great place to play golf. There are only nine holes though. The driving range has cool computers with practice and games.

The course is exceptionally well-maintained, offering stunning views of San Francisco and situated right by the bay. The staff is also very friendly. Just a heads-up: it tends to be windy, so be sure to bring a jacket!

This local 9 hole course is challenging enough for skilled golfers yet friendly and welcoming for beginners, too. The driving range, putting and short game practice areas are easily accessible. The facilities are well maintained and the staff is great.

The restaurant features pleasant indoor and outdoor seating, offering a nice view of the golfers and lush green grass. It's a fantastic spot to enjoy an adult beverage, and they're open until 10:00 PM! Be sure to give it a try—the Polish sausage is excellent! Enjoy your experience! View menu

Perhaps the best value for practicing golf in the Bay Area can be found at Mariners. They offer several spacious greens that are perfect for honing your skills. The grass and greens are in excellent condition. There are a few holes where you can hit nearly 80 yards, along with two large bunkers filled with quality sand, and two exceptional putting greens. I spent almost an hour working on my short game, all for just eight dollars.

"I made reservations here for Valentine's day and everything was perfect! Their service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and with each dish it was cool how they talked about the food and explained some of the tastes and flavors just before we began eating. And they get huge props for accommodating my dietary restrictions and modifying almost every item on their menu to something I could eat! (5/5) Osetra caviar I normally hate caviar, but this one was really good! It's cured so it's a bit salty (4/5) Sauteed baby abalone Pretty good, although it doesn't quite compare to ones I've had in the past. That said, one doesn't eat abalone often, so I think the bar for abalone is pretty high (5/5) Warm lobster salad Wow! The lobster was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Also I thought the charred avocado was interesting; they blowtorch the avocado to give it a slightly tougher texture on the outside, mirroring the lobster (4/5) Braised Lamb Ragu The lamb was exploding with spices and flavor, although it was a tad dry inside. The pappardelle was perfectly al dente (4/5) Black Cherry Sorbet Pretty good, the puffed black rice was a bit hard (one of the pieces was like a rock) but the sorbet was flavorful without being too strong (5/5) Hokkaido A5 Wagyu This was the star of the show. Have you ever had steak that melts in your mouth like butter?? The only problem with this dish is that there were only 2 slices of steak! I wish there were 3! (5/5) Spicy Kiss Passion Fruit Juice They made a modification and gave me a small shot of spicy, fizzy passion fruit juice. The chili had a lot of heat but actually went well with the sourness and fizz of the juice. I would never have though of making passion fruit spicy, but it was pretty tasty (4/5) Cubed fruit stack I don't know what to call this since they also did an entirely separate fruit dessert for me, but it was essentially a Rubik's cube made of watermelon, kiwi, and strawberry, topped with a dark chocolate covered strawberry. (5/5) House made meringue I also don't normally like meringue, but this was like candy and tasted amazing! Thanks Viognier for a wonderful evening and accommodating my dietary needs, everything was solid!"
