"We popped into the Mojave Cafe on our way back to LA from Mammoth. The location is extremely convenient as it is located right on Hwy 14 next to all of the gas stations. They do have their own parking lot, which is nice, but the restaurant itself doesn't have any windows facing the lot (which made us a little nervous with all of our luggage ski gear in the car) Based on other reviews, we decided to go ahead and give it a try. Our 10 year old was very excited to see a corn dog on the menu and she gave it high marks. The rest of us ordered cheeseburgers to keep it simple. They were all nice, with lettuce, a nice thick slice of tomato (high marks with the hubby) and onion. My bun was slightly overtoasted, which was a little disappointing at first, but after digging into it a little more, started to have the feel taste of a backyard burger. I'm not sure if that was the intended effect, but I gave it a pass. What really made this place remarkable was that each plate came with a nice portion of home style steak fries the fries were nice and thick, and slightly unevenly cut so you knew that they were house made. Delicious!"

We came across this restaurant during a spur-of-the-moment road trip from LA. The atmosphere was very charming, with a vintage decor that we loved. The staff were friendly and welcoming. View menu

The staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean! The new owners have brought an authentic Mexican experience and also offer American food. The breakfast is delicious! I definitely recommend this place.

Looks a little run down, but the breakfast food here is tasty and served in a normal sized portion. The staff were nice enough to let us in a bit earlier than opening time and we all left a happy and full group. Great stop of for us en route to Bishop.

Stopped in for a quick bit on the way back from Ridgecrest- yes there are several fast food options in the area but we need to support small businesses- and the food was excellent- the 4 taco special for 10.99 was excellent- lots of flavor and the homemade tomatillo salsa was off the charts. The restaurant has new owners and a revised menu. They offer a mix of Mexican, American cuisine, and pizza. The Mexican dishes are excellent, and we recently sampled their pizza and wings. This place is one of the top dining options in Mojave. They are currently open from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Weekday hours are unknown. For more information, their new phone number is 661-584-9095.
