On The Border Mexican Grill Cantina

Great service great food! Danielle checked on me several times and the food was not only fantastic but it came quickly after I ordered. They have a full bar with some unique margarita flavors. They also have a patio area for when the weathers nice! Plenty of parking definitely coming back!

The food here is excellent, but there's a notable lack of greeting when you arrive—I've never been welcomed at the entrance. Additionally, I've had to wait up to an hour just to get a server to take my drink order. I would never want to come here alone with my two-year-old. Overall, the service leaves much to be desired.

The food was outstanding and fairly priced given the portion sizes. Our server was attentive, making the experience enjoyable. For a hundred dollars, which included appetizers, two main courses with extras, drinks, and a 25% tip, the value for the quality of food and service we received was more than reasonable. The wait for the food was incredibly long, especially considering there weren't that many people in the restaurant. While the food was good, I only have a 30-minute lunch break, and waiting over 40 minutes for my meal meant that I ended up taking an hour and a half for lunch. My boss wasn't too happy about that. Just thought I should mention it.

My family and I had dinner here tonight, and it was a letdown. As soon as we sat down, the table felt sticky, suggesting it hadn't been cleaned properly. The service was slow and poorly organized. By the time our food arrived, it was cold. Considering the many other Mexican restaurants in Greenville, I don't see any reason to come back to this one. We were quite disappointed and won't be returning.

Ordered a catering for a work event and the food was AWESOME and a HUGE hit with my team! Sarah (GM) helped me pick the perfect menu for my event and made sure it was ready in time!! Regina (manager) was so friendly when I got there to pick up the order. She and another team member helped carry my stuff to the car!! It 's overpriced, and it 's not authentic. This was the epitome of ok. Not worth the price of admission at all, and it showed as it was the only restaurant that wasn 't packed, which is why we went there to begin with. Next time, we 'll wait for a better restaurant experience since we found ourselves waiting on the server anyway (which was curious because, again, not busy). There are plenty of options for Mexican food. This isn’t the best choice.

Restaurants are pricing themselves out of the market! The number of customers dining out has dropped to half of what it was before COVID-19! Spending $45 for a small meal for two is simply not sustainable! Personal incomes have not kept pace with inflation, and this situation is bound to lead to a crash soon. You can't pay unskilled servers $20 an hour and expect customers to keep paying these high prices for basic food! Before the pandemic, you could enjoy the same Mexican dishes at half the price! Good luck! In three years, I believe many chain restaurants will have to shut down because they've priced themselves out of business!

I spent $45 on a meal that was quite disappointing, and I couldn't even finish it. While the house salad and soup were decent, I cannot recommend the fish taco and rice. The chicken carnitas enchilada was somewhat tasty, and the black beans were fine—it's hard to mess those up. Unfortunately, after returning to my hotel, I ended up getting sick. To make matters worse, I also received a dirty knife. My pregnant Hispanic girlfriend, who is usually not picky about food, was really let down, which speaks volumes.
