"Never written a review for restaurant before, but I felt it necessary as we live in times where hygiene is everything. I would keep my eyes open and would definitely not come here unless there is a change of sea. Before I even go to the restaurant, I know about the Google reviews the food is not of good quality. I ordered Thai tea and Sweet Rice and disappointed thorougly. The iced tea has a fruit fly I'm happy to see, but only after a few sips. I confirmed the waiter immediately. Asked another iced tea and was given immediately, but was so scaryly packed that it went out. The sweet rice dessert is not sweet at all! The only plus is the waiters who welcome and hear your concerns. I ordered from Salaween once, but I have the Delievrye from the one who is far away from my home. So I tried to order from Uber Eats, just to find out that this restaurant does not deliver, although close to home. Overall fearsome and disappointing for me. PS: If you do not want a hygienic food, please visit this restaurant."

We had Panang curry, masaman curry and drunken noodles. The seasonings were very nice. Each dish had it's distinct flavors. We got level 510 for heat and it was just to our liking. Enough heat without overwhelming the flavors.Food: 5/5

Yum yum! This is where we go to satisfy our Thai food cravings. Our family is vegetarian, and they do great tofu appetizers, drunken noodles, and the addictive coconut milk curries without the fish sauce. If you're vegan and like spicy food, you'll love Salween Thai! Food: 5/5

I was really glad to have someone with me during my visit. When the waitress asked how spicy I wanted my dish, my companion suggested I go for level #3, and I followed their advice. Wow! I'm so glad I chose #3—it was almost too spicy for me, but it was delicious. The leftovers were even better! View menu

My wife and I eat at a lot of Thai restaurants. I have tried the Pad Thai at them all. Saleen Thai Restaurant has some of the best Pad Thai I've eaten, anywhere. My wife had the Kana Mu Crob, which was unbelievably flavorful! The waitress was polite, and responsive without being intrusive. This is definitely a must for Thai lover's!

I was here twice, both with family. The pad Thai, which has peanuts, is good. Either the Drunken Ramen or Drunken Noodles is also a good choice. The waiting staff asks you to select your spice level 1-10 for your plate. If you like taste, but not so much heat go with a 3 or 4. If you want your throat to go for 30 minutes after dinner with 10.

1. The prices have skyrocketed, increasing by 20-30%. 2. Portions have been significantly reduced, at least by 40%. 3. They are unwilling to serve customers outside, even though they have chairs and tables set up—quite odd. 4. When ordering takeout, they simply throw the items into a bag without any care. The staff is unaccommodating and disorganized. Unfortunately, I won't be returning as a customer. View menu

I was taken here by my Daughter that had eaten here before. The food was very good, and the value was spit on for everything but one appetizer we ordered. I would give the over all food 5 stars, but I must only give the over all experience only a 4 star. The server was very inattentive and almost acted like he didn't want to be there. I will go back another time and give them a second chance. At Over $20 a person, plus tip, I'd like to feel welcomed and be engaged a bit.

I’m disappointed to say that I will no longer be dining at Salween after experiencing a significant price increase combined with smaller portion sizes. I used to visit this restaurant 2-4 times a month, but this will be my final time here. They've raised the price of my favorite dish by 20% and noticeably reduced the portion size—it's now about half of what it used to be. Even the containers they use are much smaller, and the food doesn’t fill them. Several of my friends have noticed this change as well. Other dishes, like the pad thai, have received even steeper price hikes, with a 50% increase. While a price increase alone might be acceptable, it's frustrating when the portion sizes are al...

"First, the restaurant is super cool. You enter and immediately see the open kitchen and bar below. We were seated with a great view of the working kitchen. It was our anniversary and they presented us with complimentary bubbly and a menu that read Happy Anniversary at the top. Our server was prompt and kind. We ordered apps and our meal at the same time. Apps were a little slow but we don 't mind taking our time. The andouille sausage over grits was good but a bit oversalted. The croquettes were good but somewhat mushy. Overall flavor profile was good. Some time passed after completing our appys and began to notice the kitchen plating dishes and entrees being served to every table except ours. Again, not in a hurry so we weren 't upset. But it became excessive. Large groups seated while we had appetizers were served their entrees. Small tables seated after we finished our appetizers were served. The kitchen can put out food fast, just not ours. So now our apps are expanding in our belly and our excitement about our meals are diminishing. Finally our entrees arrived. My snapper raw. So sad. The gnocchi was ok but again, way over salted. But the flavor profile was so good. This had the ability to be amazing. My husband ordered the wagyu flank steak. It was just not good. He barely ate one piece and left his sides as again they were way way over salted. Our server noticed that we barely ate our meals and spent time asking for feedback. She was very kind and the manager discounted my meal (which I did not want, but appreciate). Anyway, we probably won 't be back. Good presentations. Very good flavor profiles. Failure to deliver overall though due to extremely salty, improper cooking and extraordinary wait times. Hopefully they can improve as some other recent reviews reflect similar feedback."

"Very good experience here. Nice atmosphere, place was comfortable from all aspects. Waiter was helpful in ideas to choose from, but not pushy about anything. Located in Omaha?s downtown Old Market just a block North of Howard Street. I ordered the Habanero Lobster Bisque to start. It was excellent. Had a bite to it, but for people who like a bite, it?s not that bad for heat. If you don?t care for spicy at all, this may have a bit more of a kick than you like. Over all, to me, I thought it was excellent, and would not hesitate to have it again if it were made for that day. For the main meal, I got the Midtown Meatloaf. The meatloaf was a bit different than I?m used to. I will say, the waiter did an excellent job at letting me know how their meatloaf was compared to what most in these parts are used to. Around here, you?ll typically find it?s cooked with ketchup on it, and generally some sort of brown sugar glaze, and then you can add more ketchup after it?s sliced on your plate. This meal is nothing like that, and I was fairly warned. However I still wanted to try it. There?s no ketchup, or glaze at all. It?s more like what I would consider a hamburger steak. Then they put a light brown gravy on it. So, it was a good meal, but not like what I?m used to. I would most likely opt to move to other menu choices next time, as opposed to making it a ?go-to? meal. It was good, but not near legendary in my book. However, this is more of a matter of my pallet choice, and with all else I mentioned above, this was a 5 star visit, and well worth another stop."
