"I was referred here and I was told it was some of the best poke on the Big Island. Well that means you better get there early!!! When I arrived and hour before close the guy ahead of me was ordering what looked like to be THE REST OF THE POKE THEY WOULD MAKE THAT DAY??It’s cool I only wanted a scoop and some rice and maybe some the delicious blueberry home cheesecake they had on display. I glance at the menu and decide to upgrade my meal to a poke bowl with the lobster and crab cake on the side . BRA! A-MA-ZING! Customer service was Outstanding for it to be almost closing time she was as fresh as the poke and very knowledgeable about her food she took pride in serving at SunDried Specialties. This place is a must revisit. And remember they’re closed on sundays!"

We were recommended this place by a local and it didn't disappoint. Try the Maui burger. So, so good.

Ono burger with fries. You have to try it. I can’t stop thinking about it! This place isn’t fancy, but the food is truly exceptional.

I was surprised to see a diner in what looks like a warehouse but the food was simple and good. We had poke made of fresh tuna and wahoo fish that was great. Highly recommended.

If you want REAL poke and fresh fish go to Kona Grill House!!! I've been waiting two years to visit and was not disappointed. Don't look for atmosphere look for fish the way it's supposed to be served. The staff is great and KAPA Radio is playing in the background. Doesn't get better than that! View menu

We stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch and ordered the poke with seaweed salad, along with the lobster crab cake. Everything was delicious, and the prices were quite reasonable. We decided to enjoy our meal at a nearby park down the street, which offered much better views than the parking lot.

Stopped in here for lunch after snorkeling with friends. I had the fish “burger” (a fish sandwich) made with the fish of the day. It was lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. No hesitation to come here again! They had delicious-looking pie slices in the case but I didn’t have any dessert. Next time!

Should I rate on an absolute scale or a relative scale? I opted for the latter. On an absolute scale, I’d give it 4 stars. The local food was delicious. We ordered the ahi plate with a lobster/crab cake and another lobster/crab cake plate. The crab macaroni salad on the side was unique and very tasty. The fish cakes, which were breaded with Panko and grilled over an open flame, were delightful as well. View menu

We got takeout and took to beach to watch sunset. There were 7 of us, three of which were children. They had cheeseburgers which they said were the best . My husband and I had the catch if the day which happened to be ahi. Portions were large and fish was delicious. We also got dessert which was all very good...chocolate macadamia pie, cheesecake with various fruit topping. Highly recommend. Staff was extremely helpful.

Great fish! This was recommended by a gatekeeper at some wrong turn we made. Like others, I was a little apprehensive at the exterior but the food was honestly the best we had on the island. I had the catch of the day. It was sooo good ! Just quite excellent. (not being a rice eater I had the salad which was disappointing to say the least. We had the key lime pie which we split 4 ways. The key lime was truly amazing. We each wished we had each gotten our own. We searched in vain the rest of our trip to find another worthy of comparison but no luck. Don’t miss this!! Price was very reasonable.

"Gypsea Gyleto was recommended as a place we try out while on the big island by our Air BNB host. We checked out reviews from Google and Yelp. It came across as a worthy place to try.I/we have tried Gelato from various places around globe. Unfortunately, this review receives a flat three based on the Gelato itself alone. We tried 7 different flavors. All, simply were not near the flavor or the creamy smooth texture in which Gelato is supposed to be. It had more of a freezer burnt ice cream cruncy texture. It just was not what I would expect Gelato to taste like. All flavors were under flavored as well.It saddens me to give such a low review as the majority of my reviews are four star or above. (the majority are five star with recommendations and compliments.)The rest of Gypesea Gelato was great. From the atmosphere, cleanliness and friendly employees. The presentation of the Gelato was great! However the texture and taste just was not right. It really is a nice place to visit. (the vibe etc.)I just cannot get over the fact that the Gelato as a whole simply wasn't made correctly. Hense the three star review. I'd give a 3.5 star, but Google won't allow it.My recommendation would be for the owners to visit Europe to see what it should be. The. other Gelato places outside of the islands to get a good idea of what should taste and feel like in your mouth.Good gelato is not cheap which is expected. However, in this case I would pay HALF the price purely based on the poor quality of the Gelato.I'd be happy to raise my review once the recipe is revised and every Gelato doesn't have that freezer burnt feel and some flavors even taste just cheap. Also get rid of the cheap black couches with card board signs on them with holes in them. (saying they are free for anyone who will take them). It's just tacky. They do not suit the epic, cool, clean, vibe atmosphere"
