"Wow, the ambiance of the place, coupled with the picturesque drive, really sets the stage for a delightful brunch brimming with Southern charm. However, today's interaction with the owner was jarringly out of sync with the idyllic setting. Her demeanor was puzzling; whether due to stress, an off day, or indifference, it was hard to tell. Initially, I felt a twinge of discomfort as a person of color in a predominantly non-brown setting, but it quickly became clear that the briskness was universally directed. The table seated after us echoed my encounter, yet, the incredible service and delectable food offered by the establishment smoothed over the rough edges of the experience. Broth, our server, was exceptional, managing to provide attentive service to both indoor and outdoor diners with grace. Despite an unexpected visit from a swarm of bees, which I attribute to Virginia's capricious weather, the meal itself was superb. The coffee alone justifies the drive, and the pricing is aligned with the quality of the food. I'm willing to return, hopeful for a warmer welcome next time. When the anticipation of a delicious meal gets the better of me, I often realize too late that I've missed the chance to snap a picture. I'm committing to capturing my culinary moments before diving in moving forward."

"UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: Aside from being left on hold for 15 minutes when calling to adjust my reservation and the seared salmon being slightly overcooked and under seasoned, our experience was phenomenal! Blaise was the BEST server I’ve ever had going above and beyond to make our dinner perfect! Her timing, thoughtfulness, and consideration were impeccable. She was knowledgeable about the establishment and never hesitated to do her best to meet our needs, even coming through on serving us our favorite sushi roll which had been taken off the menu months ago. She recommended a drink after identifying my preference for sweet wines without me having to ask or explain. She offered to cut up strawberries to serve with my boyfriend’s complimentary birthday cheesecake. She made sure our food choices came out at the appropriate times — it’s like she thought of everything! She redeemed Red Salt in my eye because I was starting to resent them after a couple of meh experiences. Note: indoors is chilly! Always. Turn down AC Superb dining experience! The ambiance is great, was seated quickly, the entire staff is courteous, and the food is amazing. What more could you ask for? My boyfriend ordered the scallops with a side of Mac and cheese both were delicious and I had the lamb chops. We shared a Tanji roll, which was tasty. His meal arrived before my mine, but we learned directly from the manager, let's call him Mr. Redpants, that my dish had been dropped during delivery! He was genuinely apologetic and even encouraged me to accept a snack on him. I chose the fried oysters, which were good if you like spicy food. My water glass was never empty and our table was never crowded with empty plates. Definitely recommend this restaurant!"

"Last minute decision to check this place out with family. 1- the weather was beautiful today and a nice time to be outside 2- we were planning on an early dinner so they could drive home 3- we wanted to hang out more than just eat another dinner Checked online and called and all the bays were reserved so we walked in around 5 on a Saturday afternoon and immediately got a bay. No lefties but we did have a couple kids and a couple pre-teens, so we needed more than just the regular clubs in the bay?. We waited around for a bit before someone gave us a ?brief? intro. We probably could?ve used more ?education? on what games to play and what to do-especially with the kids and choosing activities and games. Drinks came first and the waters were good but the fruit punch and apple juice were in boxes?!?? We were also ready to order and fearful that once our dinner order came- it would be difficult to get dessert so we ordered everything at once?. Food came reasonably quickly and all at once: sliders, nachos, salads, pizzas, chicken, grilled cheeses, plus the desserts. There were plenty of things that were not available like Mac n cheese which is weird? Food was decent, refills were sparse, we had to ask for extra utensils and napkins which I think is ?par for the course? at these golf entertainment places?. Server left us alone for so long that we had to put out a search party for her to pay when our time was up. We?ve been to places like this before but I think it was the first time for our family- think they had enough fun to think about coming back!!"

"This is a rough one. A family restaurant that I heard was a great place. I'm sure that it is(on most nights). Last night wasn't a good night at all. My girlfriend ordered the beef liver w/ onions. They pounded it out to thin, cooked it to long, and produced something close to shoe leather. She never leaves beef liver on the plate, she loves it that much. However, she had three bites and refused to eat anymore. I ordered the Cobb salad w/ chicken and avocado. The avocado slices were literally hard as rocks. The chicken was extremely dry. Not a good salad. Now on to the service. Our waitress was young. I'm going on a limb to say she's very inexperienced. When she asked us if everything was alright, and we told her that it wasn't, she seemed to not really care. Didn't offer to make it right. Just bad service. Now I'm sure the place was just having an off night so I'm willing to give them another try. Needs to be much better all around if it's going to be a place that I frequent. The only good thing about dinner were the fresh made dinner rolls."

"I had wanted to order the seafood spaghetti for dinner (seafood and angel hair pasta). I told the server the last time I ordered it the pasta was seriously over cooked and soggy. She said she would ask the chef not to boil the spaghetti loo long. I had suggested that minutes at full boil should be enough to cook angel hair pasta. She returned and told me the chef said it would be impossible because every thing was prepackaged. Prepackaged cooked pasta!?! Impossible!"
