Tailwater Lodge Altmar, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

This is a great place to stay. I was very pleased with the room and the food. We stopped on our way to the Adirondack and wished we could have stayed another night. It is quite place with beautiful grounds definitely off the beaten path.

The Tailwater Lodge is a fantastic place to stay for events and also as an individual/with family. Very attentive and sweet staff. They dealt with customers, particularly of the inebriated variety, very well. The food was spectacular and the overall experience was awesome.Rooms: 5/5

For an out of the way location(don’t let that push you away I could never say enough . This place is a 5star million dollar resort in the middle of a small 100 person population town . This is an intriguing restaurant with potential. The service could be improved with a bit more attention, and offering a free breakfast or at least coffee would be a nice touch. I’m not sure why reservations were required just to sit at the bar. The waitstaff were friendly, and while the food can be on the pricey side, my wife enjoyed her meal, though my salmon was just all right. The room and bed were satisfactory.

Stopped by for a date night. Enjoyed sitting outside in Adirondack chairs by fire pit prior to leaving for the evening!Pleasant rustic atmosphere and accommodating staff!!Food drinks: Enjoyed a pleasant evening of drinks and appetizers in the bar area. Service by Serena was A+.Hostess recognized that we were not comfortable where we were seated because of overflow from a large group and moved us. Good customer awareness!!

We had difficulty finding a good place to stay for the night, and AAA wasn't much help either. So, we decided to do some research on our own and discovered this lodge. The prices were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The views both inside and outside the lodge were stunning. We even had the chance to visit some nearby waterfalls. Hotel, hot tub, location, all great. Food is so bad! Went for a wedding a year ago was food was terrible! I figured they are putting out 100+ meals it’s expected, went this august had lunch and dinner so bad!! Lunch was $96 for two small what looked to be microwaved pizzas. Dinner was well over $120 without tip I’m not picky but, it was just awful food! Daytime bartender was so bad screwed everything up. Looking around 7 people at bar. Most waiting for drinks while she messed around with dishes and was wherever? Go there to stay not to eat ??‍

We spent two nights at Tail water lodge. The hotel is beautiful, which I expect from the Hilton Tapestry Collection. Located in the center of fly fishing country it is decorated with a sophisticated nod to that outdoor activity. Check was light on details. I was not given directions to my room and didn't know there were two different buildings with two different elevators. Had to go back to the front desk. A map of the property should be provided because the layout is expansive. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub, but they both close too early at 9pm. We did have dinner at the restaurant and I do recommend that. The beds were comfortable and room was very clean. I would stay again.

Everything was fantastic from beginning to end! We spent two nights at this venue for a wedding rehearsal, ceremony, and reception as part of the wedding party. From the moment we arrived until the morning we departed, the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We were able to set up our event space the night before, accommodating our rehearsal and dinner seamlessly. Every meal we had was delicious, and the spaces were both spacious and beautiful!
