"we met tan lac vien for the first time last night and were very happy to see an independent vegan section on their menu. the menu has temporary menu printed on both sides, we are not sure what that means, hopefully stay the vegan items. we ordered the vegan broken rice and the vegan bungalow, both came with side and teriyaki tofu. that was amazing! it tasted like ham, smokey and loaded with umame. some of the best since we've ever eaten. we were delighted with our food and service and will definitely be back. highly recommended! a thing that it is worth to see transparence, and although it does not disturb me, it might be a bit disturbing, the room of men was shameful and dirty. that's my only complaint. again I am not a princi, I do not eat in the toilet and wash my hands so it is not a big thing, but some can be shut off. I didn't go to the lady room, but my wife said that the lady room was huge and neat. Conversely, we could see from our sitting in the kitchen and it's a flawless perfection, and that's really important! great rides at tan lac vien for a cool brand new culinary experience. updated from previous review to 2017-07-16"

I adore the vegan tom yum soup. They have a extensive vegan menu available.

Good, flavorful Vietnamese cooking with lots of vegan options. I really enjoyed my bun vegan. The tofu and seitan are magnificent. Looking forward to trying more off their vegan menu next time I visit Pittsburgh.

I had a delicious chicken pho at this restaurant. It was not crowded when I visited on a Saturday at noon. I also found the pricing to be very reasonable, with my pho only costing $14. I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5. View menu

this place has a separate vegan menu that is convenient, but eating has not blown away me. Maybe I'm pampered because I spent time in vietnam, but the dishes we ordered while good, were nothing special to write to home. if they like spicy food, ask for some of the chili oil from the kitchen. the dinge appeared on a solid note when added.

My husband and I were craving Pho, so we decided to try out this restaurant. It was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it, although the only downside was that it was quite hot inside - I'm not sure if the air conditioning was broken. The food was incredibly fresh; I had the spring rolls and beef pho. I can't wait to go back. Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

I visited a restaurant that offers a separate vegan menu, which was convenient. However, I wasn't particularly impressed by the food. Having spent time in Vietnam, I may be a bit spoiled, as the dishes we ordered, while tasty, weren't extraordinary. I recommend asking for some chili oil from the kitchen if you enjoy spicy food - it really elevated the flavors by adding a kick to the meal. View menu

One thing to note for transparency - although it didn't bother us personally, some may be put off by the dingy and dirty men's restroom. On the other hand, my wife mentioned that the women's restroom was spacious and clean. From our seats, we could see into the kitchen which appeared to be in pristine condition, and that is what truly matters. Kudos to Tan Lac Vien for providing a fantastic new dining experience.

The lettuce wraps, bun vermicelli and pho are amazing. 100%. Lost one star for the fried rice though.Asked for the fried rice with the same lemongrass beef flavoring that’s used in so many other dishes. They refused and gave me plain unseasoned beef. #rude. Then, they didn’t even fry the rice so it’s plain white rice with egg, beef, green onions, and seemingly that frozen peas and carrots mix that everyone buys from the grocery store.
