The chef did an amazing job in creating his own version of local appetizers and meals, the mixed cocktails were amazing….. our new “go to”!

Rare Cajun cuisine in my neighbor. Nice decor and patio for summer afternoon hangout, vibrant bar for after-work hangout. Food is so so, not authentic Louisiana. Convenient location to host guests.

This is a burger and a beer place. Quality of other food is poor. Their NY Strip steak is quality and size of cafeteria quality. Also very long gap between when the appetizer came to when we were served our dinner. View menu

We had a lovely meal with my son and his girlfriend. My husband raced about the pork chop. My short ribs were delicious and the burger and chicken sandwich were also good. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Overall a nice experience.

The service was wonderful. The food Was excellent. We went for the music and loved it. The band was perfect. Love the couch and chairs with a oval table to eat at. We were very comfortable. We will be back for dinner again and the music. Spreading the word to all our friends. Thank you for a wonderful evening of good food and music??

I did not realize that this was a restaurant inside of the Somerset Hills Hotel. I tried their smoked Manhattan and New Fashioned. Both were good, served over small ice cubes. Had the fried pickles for a starter and Pork chop for main course, both were delicious. Had carrot cake for dessert. Was an unusual take on it, not bad but more dense than what I've had before. Great local beer on tap list. A few were out though. Nice ambiance for a hotel restaurant. Apps: pretzel bites with beer cheese fondue and the flatbread with pears were really great. Fish and chips were well prepared, fish was crispy and light. More fish and less chips would have made this top notch. Ahi tuna sandwich was prepared nicely, and ingredients were all good, but a bit of an odd combination. Ahi was seared perfectly, just should have gone with the salad. Beers were great, service was really helpful an attentive, with no rush.

Looking for a dinner restaurant in a different town n wanted diff cuisine n stumbled upon Taps n Bitters. Nice location at somerset hills hotel. Nice restaurant n friendly staff but a little on the slow side.Creole Cajun menu. We ordered the signature gumbo n kale salad . Gumbo was good w generous amounts of shrimp n andouille sausage n came w dirty rice. The kale salad too waz good w crunchy pecans cranberries n chickpeas. Lots of flavor.Picked the blackened mahi mahi Taco and jambalaya for entree. Just the right portions n delicious. The tacos came w dirty rice. We had a large group of 20 and made pre-arrangements with the restaurant manager. When we got to the restaurant, there was no information about our reservation. Apparently, the manager left early and never told the waitstaff (1 star off). After some calls with the manager, we were told that a private room has been reserved for us. We got to a room at the back of the restaurant, but there were no tables set up at all (1 star off).
