The Hummingbird Jerk House

Been here a couple of times and the food and service are consistently good. I had the ackee and saltfish today and the chef wasn’t stingy with the saltfish at all!

This was my first time coming here since I was in the area. I ordered the j chicken with rice/peas and veggies. It was delicious with good portions. Patrick was super friendly and would highly recommend!

Great little hole in the wall type of place. The food is really good and huge portions even for the smaller option. Staff was nice and offered suggestions, even the chef who is the owner came out to talk to us. I will be coming back again.

I wish I had remembered to take a picture before finishing my meal! I had the oxtail with white rice, plantains, and cabbage. The seasoning was just right and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this place, as not all Jamaican food is made the same. I will definitely be coming back!

I likes. Favorite part is the portion size. Just big enough to be full. Them dumplings were really good. I also had the curry goat which wasn't not overpowered by the typical home style spice I remembered getting when visiting family. So I come in and they have board of about 20 items on a Friday around 5. They tell me they only have 5 items now. I order the Jetk Chicken and the Chicken Curry.The Jerk Chicken was so dry that I was gagging eating it! I seriously thought I was going to the hospital.The chicken curry was chopped bones. This restaurant has a classy and elegant atmosphere, and everything is beautifully clean. The ambiance is just perfect, and the staff is very pleasant. I especially appreciated that the chef and owner took the time to greet the customers personally. The food was magnificent—the oxtail and jerk chicken were particularly outstanding, and everything else was great as well. For those looking for plant-based options, they also offer vegan dishes.

Everything about The Hummingbird Jerk House was excellent. I had the Brown Stew Chicken accompanied by peas, rice, and cabbage. It was served hot, with the meat tender and falling off the bone, and the sides were cooked just right. I also ordered a beef patty that was so delicious I had to get a second one.
