"The General Tso's chicken was made with decent chicken, but the sauce tasted like cheap bottled sweet and sour sauce mixed with either Louisiana hot sauce or pure cayenne pepper. The Egg Drop and Wonton Soups were absurdly sweet, reminiscent of candy, which was something I had never experienced before. It was truly unpleasant. The wontons were filled with ground beef—yes, you read that right—ground beef. I've never seen that as a wonton filling before. Shockingly, even in the soup, the beef was dry and spongy. The steamed dumplings were also overly sweet and had a grainy texture.
As for the crab rangoons, they were stuffed with oddly chunky and dry cream cheese, lacking any flavor and not the smooth texture you’d expect. The Sesame Seed Chicken had no sesame seeds on it, and the sauce tasted like a mix of brown gravy and a hint of sweet and sour sauce, with a flavor reminiscent of cherry cough syrup. The fried rice was so dry that it tasted stale, while the lo mein noodles were unseasoned, overcooked to the point of being gummy, and again, oddly sweet. The egg rolls, which were supposedly filled with beef and peanut butter, contained neither; they turned out to be vegetarian.
The only redeeming qualities of our order were the hot mustard packets, soy sauce packets, and napkins—at least we can use those for other meals. We hardly touched 95% of our food. Our dinner for five cost $71 before tip, and it took more than half an hour longer than we were told for our order to be ready. They claimed it would be done by 5:05 PM, but we didn’t receive it until around 5:38 PM. We waited in the lobby for about 45 minutes total, having arrived slightly early, and were parked outside for nearly an hour since they assured us it would only take 20 to 25 minutes.
To be clear, this was the worst takeout experience of my life. If you're thinking about dining here, make sure you've got a sweet tooth because everything seems to be loaded with sugar, no matter what you order. If I could give negative stars for food quality, I would go as low as possible.
I even attempted to contact them about a refund, but communication was a struggle for both sides, and ultimately, I had to give up. Avoid this restaurant, folks. You're better off skipping a meal altogether."
