"We had a fairly large party. We called ahead to confirm we could get seating and to be courteous and warn a large party. When we called, we were not greeted with someone from Caeser's but instead from the front desk of the motor inn where the restaurant is housed. That person was not the warmest, but we got seats, nonetheless. The folks there were very friendly, and the dining room as we entered wasn't extremely busy, seemingly occupied with regulars. There's a bit of a selection of food from standard fare to seafood, but the prices seem to borderline on high. (For two adults and 3 young children whom shared a meal, it was 84 dollars..no seafood or soft drinks in the order. In particular, we ordered a bacon and bleu burger with fries, an order of boneless wings (1lb , a large fry, and an adult plate of chicken alfredo, split between 3 kids. The burger tasted as though it came from a box; over seasoned and salted. Just the burger itself was a salt lick, not adding the blue cheese crumble to the mix. The fries were cold and seemed as though they were done first, plated, and then waited for other items to be done. The boneless wings were very good, and the kids enjoyed their chicken Alfredo. Overall, the food took a very long time to come out, and seemed the same for tables around us. Others in the party had a rack of ribs; which were largely flavorless and seemed to be spare ribs, vs baby back ribs. The tenderness was okay, but not overly appetizing. An order of Nachos was ordered as well, they were essentially tortilla chips with shredded cheese, which wasn't melted and seemed microwaved vs baked. The other items in the nachos were good. Overall, while not a completely terrible visit, the quality of said meals did not line up with the price. I would visit again if the quality met the price, but have a hard time recommending if this mixed quality is what is to be expected and at the price point presented. What I can say is this: if you like wings, have at it. It may take a bit to come out, but they universally seem to be good. Otherwise, the quality and taste of the other food may be a roll of the die, at higher than necessary price point. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"

"My wife and I have been coming here for years to celebrate our anniversary. It has become an August tradition, and we always look forward to the amazing food, service, and atmosphere. We make sure not to eat too much during the day so that we can fully enjoy the delicious food and wine (we are not foodies, so it is always an adventure for us). Unfortunately, something was missing this year. Despite the restaurant being empty (20% capacity at 5:30), they seated us at a booth near the entrance and proceeded to pack in three other couples in our section while other sections of the floor remained empty. This ruined the atmosphere because our neighbors would occasionally pull us into conversation (they were very nice people, but we would have preferred privacy). PS: The restaurant knew it was our anniversary. We sat down and both water glasses were dirty. The wait staff promptly replaced them, but it was not a good first impression. The menu still had an interesting variety of foods, and I appreciate that they made some changes to make it interesting. My appetizer (glazed bacon slab) was excellent, but my wife did not enjoy the endive/carrot salad. We both ordered the Griggstown chicken, which was good, but they overdid it on the cumin and salt. There was nothing exceptional about it, and I felt like I could make it at home (without the cumin). It wasn 't bad; it just wasn 't great and when you are paying the prices you pay here, you expect great. Desserts were excellent and kind of salvaged the night for us. They also forgot to bring us coffee/tea, but they quickly took care of that. I want to be fair here because the restaurant is still above average. But when you position yourself as an elite restaurant (both in reputation and price), you are largely competing against yourself. So, if this is your first time going here, you will likely enjoy the experience: the food is still very good, the ambiance is great, and the sunset views are beautiful too. But we have been here 8 10 times over the years, and we have come to expect something outstanding that gets us asking how did they think to do this? or how did they create this flavor? . Unfortunately, it just did not have that spark this time; it felt like any number of other very good restaurants we have been to. I hope they can rediscover their formula."
