"I have always loved Carrabba's, which is why I was excited to return to one of their locations. Unfortunately, I will not be going back to this particular restaurant. After attending a show in Charlotte, my wife and I decided to stop for dinner in the Concord Mills area. We had previously tried to get a table at this Carrabba's but were unsuccessful, so we thought we would give it another shot. We assumed that every restaurant has its off nights.
When we arrived, we were informed there would be a 45-minute wait. No problem, we were willing to wait. However, we couldn't help but notice that half of the restaurant was empty, with open tables everywhere. We figured they must be short-staffed, which wasn’t their fault. In the first five minutes, five tables filled up, so we thought we would be seated soon as more became available.
However, the situation didn’t improve. The next group that came in was told there would be a 30-minute wait—progress, we thought. But this only highlights the reason we won't return: we were never seated, and it appeared no one else was being seated either. The hostess informed a waitress right in front of us that she couldn't check off names on her list because those people could return at any moment. In short, there seemed to be a long line of people ahead of us who had already left and might not come back at all, while we continued to wait.
After lingering for 25 minutes and watching numerous tables get filled while we saw only a few people seated, we decided to cut our losses and leave."
