"My husband and I took a quick weekend trip with our 4 year old to New Orleans, and this was the perfect Sunday lunch spot. We got there right when it opened (12), and I'm glad we did it filled up within 15 minutes of getting there. We were brought complimentary dumplings. Ordered egg drop soup, wonton soup, dragon dumplings, beef short ribs, and two entrees. More than enough food, in fact we could have split one of the entrees and one of the soups. The entrees, especially the noodle based one, seem shareable for 2 people. The dim sum was amazing, and my entree (moo shoo combination) was the favorite at the table. When we go again, I'll skip the soup, load up on dim sum and share an entree for the table. Delicious food. Miss Shirley personally came around and talked with us and was incredibly warm, we loved her. She brought complimentary beignets at the end and brought my daughter some candy to take with us."

"I typically do not post reviews but my experience today really rubbed me the wrong way. For context, I have been a patron of the rook cafe for over two years and have visited the coffee shop at least 25+ times. Typically, when I come in I find a table (as they are sometimes limited) and then go to the counter to place my order. However, today I sat down to do a little work prior to placing my order and the barista (who I believe may be the owner) walked over to my table to clarify that the wifi is free but only to paying customers. No big deal, I completely get it. However, when I reassured her that I planned to order a drink in about an hour, she legitimately acted as though I was taking advantage of her business and told me it was not cool that I would come in and use the wifi without ordering something. I went on to explain that I have never come in and not placed an order only for her to respond except today and then proceed to walk away. To be clear, I completely understand having a policy for wifi only being available to paying customers and don 't even mind that she felt compelled to remind me (I can 't reasonably expect that she would recognize me as a repeat customer). That said, the way she spoke to me and overall dissatisfaction with the timing of my purchase was very off putting. I have high speed wifi at my house and my phone is an unlimited hotspot so I can assure you that I would not travel to your coffee shop just to use your internet. I come in for a change of scenery (I work from home all week) and to enjoy a caffeinated beverage. Also, fun fact: your wifi expenses are the same whether I purchase something the second I walk through the door, an hour and a half after I arrive or if I don 't come in at all. Unfortunately, after today 's interaction, I likely won 't be back. Just a friendly reminder that it 's not what you say, but how you say it."

"The crawfish cornbread appetizer was a huge, fluffy, moist, cake-like cornbread (not gf) covered in a slightly spicy ettouffe sauce that was light on crawfish bits (out of season) but still quite tasty. The steak salad was properly cooked steak cabobs with that perfect grill char on the peppers, onions, and steak on a perfect amount of lettuce, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, tomatoes, and blue cheese dressing. The Catfish was perfectly blackened while still being moist and tender inside with the … – show"

"We can’t even describe how fantastic and how we can eat their Chargrilled Oyster over and over again! Price is more expensive than Acme’s but it is worth the food. This is the only restaurant that you can really taste the char (not in a bad way) when you eat the oyster. We had to fall in line for a few minutes to be seated. Servers are all attentive and nice. Will definitely recommend Felix!"

"11/9/21 UPDATE: After some persuasion, I returned to this restaurant for a birthday dinner with a few friends. I have to say, the experience was completely different from my previous visit! We enjoyed a wide variety of dishes, and everything was absolutely fantastic. The service was exceptional, and the drinks were delightful. I'm really glad I decided to come back because this place finally lived up to all the positive things I've heard. However, I did try the Brussels sprouts again, and I still found them a bit disappointing."

"My friend and I enjoyed the snapper and a center cut filet. All delicious Great service. The wine list is terrific and has an international selection. I also enjoyed pursuing the cocktail menu. We did not have to wait long, although we had reservations, which I recommend. I was very comfortable with all staff following COVID-19 regulations. Staff were friendly and we did not feel rushed even though it was busy. The Crème Brûlée is enough for me to return. Overall, the attention to matching fine … – show"

"We started with oysters topped with spinach and panko, which were flavorful but arrived lukewarm, nearly cold. The crab was delicious, but we found there weren't enough crackers for three people. We ordered two fish dishes and one fried pork chop. Unfortunately, the breading on the pork chop crumbled off when I tried to cut it and was overly salty, making it difficult to eat. The fish was decent but quite bland. On a positive note, the creamed spinach was excellent. To add to our discomfort, the tables behind and next to us were very loud, which didn't help the atmosphere. Overall, this experience didn't match the wonderful one I had in October, and something felt amiss this time. The highlight of the evening was the professionalism of the hostess and servers."

"The best tomahawk steak and lamb chops I’ve ever had. Side salad, mushroom, chimmichurri and spinach were also amazing. Service is top notch. Very friendly and courteous. Crème brûlée completed the experience with 5+ stars and I could not resist the second desert. I wish I could come back often but I was traveling for two days and I spent both my dinner times here."

"I am a Pomelo frequent eater. Have you hired a new chef? Changed recipes? We had our usual food items tonight and they weren 't up to the usual AMAZING standard. The dishes tasted great, but things were undercooked, mealy and the Chicken Massaman, instead of the usual cut up chicken pieces, had a quarter piece of bone in dark meat chicken. Sooo hard to share and eat. We LOVE your food and hope this was just a one off. We 'll be back, but not for a while.?"

"Vibe was fine, service was really slow and non existent, food was just spicy and salty without a lot of depth. My daughter liked her tikka masala but said it was salty. Our lamb dishes despite ordering no spice were actually too spicy to eat and super salty. And we’ve traveled the world, we like spice, we just like to taste our food too. Just not a lot of depth of flavor and left a bit disappointed. Probably won’t try again."

"My new favorite weekend brunch place. Sitting by the window, we had spectacular views of so many types of aircraft. Our server was delightful and attentive, even when she was so very busy. The gumbo was delicious and filled with crabmeat. The omelettes were light and fluffy and those potatoes are worth a second visit. Thanks for everything."

"I've been to this restaurant twice and had amazing experiences. The first time was 6 years ago when I had one of the best meal's of my life here. The second was a few weeks ago where I again had a fantastic meal. Every time someone I know is going to New Orleans this is the number one place I recommend, in fact I tell them they MUST find the time to go here. I've never had anything but exceptional food here and everyone I've been with and recommended it to has enjoyed themselves as well. The nex … – show"

"In fairness, there. Is not much to the service. You wait in line and place your order. You’re given a number to put on the table and the order is dropped off. Nothing very personal about it. There is not very much seating or space inside the shop, so most customers are seated where ever they can find a spot on a very charming courtyard that is well shaded. My husband had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant which was HUGE! He almost never has anything left and this time he did, and he enjoyed it so I know he would have finished it if he could. I got an order of beignets and a mimosa. They pour two inches of orange juice in the bottom of a. Up and give you a split of champagne to top it with. The beignets tasted fine, but they were chewy. Not the light, fluffy pillows I remember. Still, it felt like a u pique experience so I enjoyed it. The street performers outside was excellent!"

"positives the setting is so lovely, they did a great job with the decor, lights, and general ambience. our server(s) were also really kind, and the food service was very quick.the food was ~okay~. i got the dan dan curry and despite all the spice, it somehow seemed like it lacked a final little oomph. we also got the shrimp sticky fried rice and the rice was too crispy and a little too al dente.i think it’s overpriced, im assuming because of its proximity to the st vincent hotel. my curry had maybe 6 little bites of chicken, a lot of noodles, and not much else for $21.looking at their happy hour deals, i think it would be more worth it for that and will be back to test that theory out."

"The staff at this restaurant provides exceptional customer service. They helped us with our order for a large pizza topped with sausage, mushrooms, and pepperoni. I requested a crispier crust, and it turned out perfect. We also tried the meatball Pho, asking for fewer noodles and more vegetables, and they absolutely delivered. All the extra side items, like the veggies, were neatly packaged in individual bags, allowing me to season it as I liked. The restaurant itself was very clean, with a working TV, and the staff was eager to assist us in any way to ensure a wonderful dining experience. The next day, I returned for frozen daiquiris, and we ordered three different flavors, all of which were fantastic. Overall, it was a truly delightful experience. Since my daughter is now familiar with the location of this restaurant, I anticipate that we will be visiting often. They also have a great selection of healthy options on the menu."

"Today was my first time coming to Bacchanal. My friend spoke highly of this place so, of course, I wanted to check it out. Upon entering, you are met with many wines to choose from, so I was instantly excited. We grabbed a table on the patio (nice relaxing vibe with string lights, space heaters, and live music) before going back to the store to purchase a bottle of wine. I knew I wanted a sweet white wine and I do usually like my wine to have an alcohol content of 12% or above (so I don't have … – show"

"Beautiful restaurant great food. However service, or lack of it, absolutely ruined the evening. We were excited to try the food and end the evening with the famous banana foster. The server made no recommendations; never checked on us, and took forever to deliver food. We spent 2 hours there mostly waiting. Finally we realized that trying to get banana foster would result in probably 2 more hours so we decided to leave. So if you are hoping for a special evening I am not sure this place is a goo … – show"
