"My husband and I took a quick weekend trip with our 4 year old to New Orleans, and this was the perfect Sunday lunch spot. We got there right when it opened (12), and I'm glad we did it filled up within 15 minutes of getting there. We were brought complimentary dumplings. Ordered egg drop soup, wonton soup, dragon dumplings, beef short ribs, and two entrees. More than enough food, in fact we could have split one of the entrees and one of the soups. The entrees, especially the noodle based one, seem shareable for 2 people. The dim sum was amazing, and my entree (moo shoo combination) was the favorite at the table. When we go again, I'll skip the soup, load up on dim sum and share an entree for the table. Delicious food. Miss Shirley personally came around and talked with us and was incredibly warm, we loved her. She brought complimentary beignets at the end and brought my daughter some candy to take with us."

Hands Down, the best Chinese Restaurant in the City and surrounding areas. Atmosphere is awesome, customer service is a 10. Friendly with great ambiance. Food was hot and tasteful. Miss Shirley is very charismatic, owner interaction with guests is unprecedented. My host, Jody, was friendly and pleasant providing excellent service. This place is a dining experience from the past.

Every dish I've had was delicious and there so many interesting and appealing dishes that no other Chinese restaurants in New Orleans have. The servers are helpful and nice. And every time I've been in there Miss Shirley herself stopped by our table to make sure everything was good, to wrap our leftovers, or to drop off a little complimentary treat just to be nice. It's easily the best Chinese restaurant in the city. View menu

If I could give this place 20 stars ,I would. I’ve only been there once I placed a 300$ to go order… everything was amazing package PERFECTLY. Service was quick friendly, chatty even. I’m surprised I’m Just now finding this place as I frequent the cigar shop across the street fairly often. When I showed up to receive my to go the line was out the door seating was packed! Best Chinese food I’ve had in the New Orleans area. Everything was flavored spot on.. flavorful not just some MSG blandness. Red jalapenos. red peppers. Real scallion garnish on the duck wraps. Loved the breading used how they didn’t over do it or caked it on. Dumplings were amazing looking forward to going back to trying mo...

This is THEE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN NEW ORLEANS…PERIOD I personally did take out but the atmosphere is lovely including the staff. My host was so sweet. But back to the food. I literally stopped eating to do this review. Fresh ingredients and amazing taste. I had both the combination fried rice and the shrimp fried rice. Also the egg rolls are super light and crispy. The boneless chicken is fresh and crispy with a perfectly fried batter. The host recommended the noodles and I’m definitely trying that next time. Oh and they make in house sauces, soooo good! Yall! You have to come to Shirley’s Chinese on magazine next to Joey k’s (where I was actually headed when I spotted this place) Anywho, I’...
