"My first taste was the glass of water. Although I understand it was city tap water, it was undrinkable—it had a strong chlorine taste and smell. Unfortunately, they didn't have any bottled water as an alternative. I kindly asked our waiter, who was very attentive and pleasant, to take it away, and he obliged. Next, we received the guacamole, which was primarily avocado with a hint of onion. It was passable, but the chips were heavy, overly salted, and greasy. I had to request salsa to go with them, and by this time, we still hadn't received napkins or utensils. The restaurant boasted an extensive Tequila and Mezcal selection, but the prices were on the high side, so I opted out of having any drinks. My friend ordered a Mexican Coke (made in the USA, which was fine) along with two shrimp tacos. When the tacos arrived, each of the four tortillas contained just one shrimp, piled high with red cabbage and topped with three large slices of jalapeño. That was it. The tacos must have weighed less than an ounce and were largely overpowered by the cabbage and jalapeño. I ordered a mixed green salad featuring corn, quinoa, black beans, cheese, and lime juice. There was no other dressing, and it tasted like I was eating straight lime. Despite that, I kept eating until I was interrupted by gnats. I couldn’t finish my salad without accidentally consuming a few of those pesky little creatures. When one landed on my nose, I decided it was time to ask for the check. I typically don’t write such negative reviews, but this experience warrants an exception. We definitely won’t be returning."
