The Lighthouse - Menu

Wonderful! Great menu selection. The crab fries and the salmon entree were delicious. Service was incredible.

After an week pandemic it was just what the doctor called for. Distancing was good, service was good and sunset excellent!

They are working a few kinks out with the re-opening, like the coffee maker wasn’t working, but everything was phenomenal! The food, the drinks, the ambiance and that view!! View menu

We were nervous to try a brand new place, especially in the current phase of quarantine. We sat on the deck, the place was very clean, all the waitstaff had gloves, and masks, and disposable menus. The food was good, service was great, and kids could play by the bay while they waited for food.

The Sunset Deck is a great place to see a sunset. The music was entertaining. The reservation system worked perfectly. The food was tasty, nothing awesome but tasty. More importantly the waiter and service was fabulous. During this Covid period I felt totally safe having dinner at The Sunset Deck.

Our waitress was very nice, but the food was quite slow to arrive, and when it did, we got the appetizers just a couple minutes before our meals. They were very apologetic, and gave us a round of drinks on the house. The food was excellent! Atmosphere was nice (view of the sunset), but it could use some more greenery (palm trees or plants). Food, setting, and service were excellent. Crab cakes were among the best I’ve ever had. Only reason why we didn’t give more stars is that much like the entire Dewey Beach community we observed, respect for was not readily apparent. Management was very responsive when we pointed out where enhancements could be made—so we were very appreciative and hopeful that as they summer progresses, they’ll be at the top of their game. But again—the whole Dewey vibe outside of this restaurant as we drove through town was totally dismissive of taking social distancing/masks to prevent potential spread of the virus

We really enjoyed our meal here with a perfect view of the sunset over the bay. The crab cakes were outstanding and we also thoroughly enjoyed a selection of oysters and authentic boardwalk fries! The kitchen was very accommodating to a dietary restriction in our group, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The restaurant was just opening at the end of our vacation, or we probably would have worked our way through the whole menu night after night. By far, the best meal we had on our trip! Keep in mind they are just getting up and running, so if you encounter a few kinks (we didn’t), cut them some slack and have another round of drinks while you take in the view.

My date and I had fun! We definitely enjoyed ourselves. The hostess was extremely nice and took us to our table immediately. It was a nice setting, super close to the water. There were fireplaces around that had extra seating which we thought was cool. I had a glass of Prosecco and my date had an orange crush, both were good. We started with the buffalo shrimp which came out quickly. They were delicious! Definitely the best part of the meal. I ordered the Spicy Thai Salmon which came with a rice medley and broccoli and my date ordered the burger they had on the menu. I didn’t try his burger.. but he finished it all!
