"Stayed at the Embassy Suites for 6 nights. The first night we ate at Caprese, but there was a special event taking up the whole restaurant so we were seated on the patio. That was okay, because it was a beautiful October evening. The flatiron steak was on the chewy side, but the vegetables were fine. My husband had shrimp fettucini and thought it was okay, but not great. We were the only diners on the patio, so the service could have been better as I think we were overlooked. Tried to go back the next night to see if we'd have better luck, but again, another special event, so we went around the corner to Joe Theissman's restaurant, and ate there 4 more times before leaving Alexandria! Overall, I can't give a very good review for Caprese, as our experience was not very positive. Prices were too high for what we got."
