"I have been to this place several times that are small location located close to H Mart. They have some pretty good Malaysian dishes and everything is served family style. Service is good and we enjoy it when we come to eat . We usually have our staple of items that we order. Salt and pepper pork chop, golden squid , Beef chow fun, fried rice and The list can keep going on depending who we have with us . Dishes come our pretty fast and they come out as they are ready . All the food is great with good flavors and portions are good especially when sharing."

"This is my favorite bubble tea shop! It's definitely worth the 25-minute drive every time because the drinks are incredibly delicious. The best part about this place is their consistency in making great drinks. The owners are friendly and enjoyable to chat with, which makes every visit a pleasure. I highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance!"

"I ordered two spicy Hakka Noodles yesterday, and they were incredibly disappointing—tasteless and lacking in salt and spices. It felt like they were just boiled in turmeric water. If the restaurant can't prepare them as requested, they should reconsider being in business. I can't even go back to show them how we do it in New York. My sister raved about this place, so I ordered for my husband, who loves Hakka noodles, but they ended up being terrible. I can confidently say I'll never return, and I won't recommend it to anyone. The prices were outrageous too; they charged me $30 for one dish when other places offer them for $9.99. Please avoid this restaurant. If I ever go back, I expect a refund—I even took pictures to prove it."

"I visit this restaurant at least once a month, making it my favorite sushi spot because it has a wide variety of options to choose from. My go-to rolls are the avocado, salmon, and cucumber roll, as well as the mushroom avocado, black avocado, and mango rolls. For appetizers, I enjoy the edamame and tofu teriyaki. The best part is that this place offers unlimited servings for a set price. I'm pretty sure there are many vegetarian and possibly vegan options on the menu, but I love the veggie rolls so much that I never bothered to ask. Overall, I'm always happy with the selection of veggie rolls and look forward to coming back each time."

"We hosted the party in the central hall, which provided plenty of space, and the food setup was fantastic. There was a supervisor and two staff members at the bar who assisted us throughout the party. The layout for appetizers and the main course+dessert was well thought out, allowing guests to enjoy snacks before diving into the main dishes. Everything was not only tasty but also beautifully presented. The standout dishes of the evening were the Poori and Shahi Tukda. I highly recommend the Poori as a bread option; while naan is common everywhere, Poori is a delightful choice that you’ll often find only in vegetarian restaurants, and even then, it’s a rare treat. It pairs wonderfully with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, making it a hit with both kids and adults. The Shahi Tukda was a unique and delicious dessert that everyone enjoyed, both young and old! For appetizers, we had Gobi Manchurian, Masala Mushrooms, Paneer Tikka, Chicken 65, and Mixed Chicken Kebabs—all of which were incredibly tasty. The Mixed Kebabs and Masala Mushrooms were particularly outstanding. Everything was planned and executed flawlessly, with the appetizers arriving at the scheduled time followed seamlessly by the main course and dessert. The organization of the event was impressive, and I commend the staff at Akar Restaurant for their excellent service. Once again, heartfelt thanks to Meenakshi and Rohith for ensuring everything went smoothly. Our parents were thrilled with how well the celebration was organized. We highly recommend Akar Restaurant for any occasion; they will do a fantastic job in making your event extra special!"

"Good food, nice ambience and service. We were a party of eight and had dinner. They made sure we got a nice table and we had reserved in advance. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered close to 12 items along with drinks and we didn'thave to wait long for appetizers nor main course. Gobhi Musalam was a surprise and we really liked it. Chicken Tikka masala andChicken curry were good too. Saag Paneer was a miss but everything else especially service was good. We ordered two largewhiskeys which happen to be Patiala peg 90 ml- half glass) but did the job. We will definitely come back to try more. IG:journey_man16"

"A good restaurant experience goes beyond just serving great food. It includes elements such as excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and personalized interactions with the staff. Here are some ways to ensure a great restaurant experience. Iftar Special Item was really amazing in food and as well as price. Just for 13$ we are getting Ajwa dates, Mango/Ajwa shake, chicken curry, veg curry, naan and kheer/Gulab jamun. Really I had a very great experience with the kabab and I willing to visit again and again. Thank you kabab for delicious and mouth watering food. Vegetarian options: We have all vegetarian varieties to choose the best. Parking: They have lot’s of parking space and wide area to stay."

"One of my favorite dishes at this restaurant is the Double Classic smashburger. I really enjoy the thick, juicy patties and the delicious toppings. My favorites include the mushrooms, truffle mayo, grilled onions, and tomatoes – they’re all so tasty! I also love the sweet potato fries that come with it."

"I thought I heard about this place. Or was that stupid Planet Honda commercial?? It wasn't Planet Fitness because I definitely have never stepped foot in that place. So what the hell Uber Eats had a coupon and I ordered a 10pc medium original with extra blue cheese and a regular fries. I didn't read a review or even look for their location. First off I was quite surprised how crispy the fries were for delivery. Not one soggy fry. The wings looked a little on the small side but had a good amount of meat on them. I noticed immediately they love to use a good amount of wing sauce. Bounty came in handy real quick!!! This is a good wing spot. After all it's in the name. Definitely feels like franchise with mom and pop vibes. Advice....use your own blue cheese dressing. It lacked flavor and really short on amount. $1.00???? For an extra tablespoon???"

"Located right off the New Durham exit off I287, this would have been an ideal pitstop to grab something quick to eat. With falafel being their signature dishes, we ordered a couple falafel pita sandwiches on this first visit. It took 10 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the sign instructed to wait outdoors once order is placed. This is a first as far as COVID prevention measures, but I treated it as a positive. Hand sanitizers were on the order counter as well as at multiple tables. Plexiglass sheets were hang and masks were worn. You certainly feel safe to order food here. As for the falafel sandwiches the pitas were toasted perfectly and the toppings were fresh mix of red cabbage, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers. The optional tatziki sauce was good, make sure you ask for it. The price was on point. The only issue we had was actually the falafel itself. For some reason, all of us experienced something undesirably hard on the bite. That's actually a serious downer. I'm taking off a star for that. On a subsequent trip, we ordered a few chicken shawarma pitas and a chicken shawarma over rice. Unfortunately, the chicken could not have been any more saltier. A big let down."

"I spontaneously decided to have dinner at this restaurant with my family on a weeknight, and we had a wonderful experience! We were quickly seated in a cozy booth, and the service was excellent and friendly. To start, we ordered loaded nachos, guacamole, and jalapeño margaritas, and we were thrilled with our choices. The loaded nachos were perfect for sharing among the four of us. I usually prefer sweeter margaritas, but the spicy one was a delightful change, providing just the right amount of kick from the jalapeños. For my main dish, I opted for the chicken Chipotle torta, served with rice and beans. The sandwich was delicious, but the portion sizes were quite generous, so I couldn't finish the second half or the rice and beans. Not to worry, though—I'll have more leftovers for a late-night snack! Overall, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again. Enjoy your dining experience!"

"Review on May 28, 2023.FIRSTLY, THE MENU NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. IT IS SO STICY AND DIRTY. PRICE OF FOOD IS BEFORE COVID. THEY NEED TO UPDATE PRICE ON THE MENU,ONLINE EVERYWHERE.Hope the restaurant owner sees this.Something was very suspicious about this place. It's got very good review hence wanted to try. Dining was open but there was no one in the restaurant(almost spent time around 90 minutes), all the people in the photo, video are dekivery drivers waiting from 30 minutes and it was all smoky as you can see in the photo. There was only one server doing everything, online and dining. The place is not kept clean, the kitchen is very dark and dirty. The washrooms don't even think of using it, it is stinking, sticky, washbasin is dirty. The restaurant did not look like a restaurant. It looked as if we were sitting at a funeral food function. They do not have anything, asked onions for the sides, they did not have, they have no raita(very watery) paneer was made like 3-4 days back so hard. Took 40 minutes to prepare one PANEER BIRIYANI. The lights were so bad, they are RUNNING THE RESTAURANT ON A LOOSE END. Very selfish restaurant, needs to hire more people for work. The FOOD DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO CHECK ALL CRITERIAS AND LET THE RESTAURANT OPEN AGAIN."

"I called in like a Karen to complain to the manager and his response was “it’s the same option served inside… now you tell me… barely any sauce or lettuce. The mash looks like they scooped it with a child’s spoons. Cmon. Then offers me to come back after I already drove 20min there and 20min back home. Probably wasn’t even talking to the manager he was rude and didn’t let me finish talking sounded like the person take took my takeout order. When he came on the phone I didn’t even get a name, probably talking to Ryan which was the same person who took my order and stated I couldn’t get the sauce on the chicken. Stupid.. Super dissatisfied and I tipped him an extra $10 cash just for coming out in 55 degree weather, definitely don’t recommend to order takeout. They charge you same price for something that’s half the portion."

"Came with my family originally for lunch on Saturday. With the opening of the new H mart, parking is basically impossible unless you park in the back of the building and walk around. The space of the restaurant is huge so I think it makes the emptiness or lack of business that much noticeable. The food that they had out for lunch was nothing exceptional. The cuts of meat were very cheap cuts and very roughly cut up. The most expensive meat there was probably the beef bulgogi and the squid/shrimp. The cooked foods were very scarce as well. The japchae had little to no veggies in it. You even had to ask for small portions of the soy bean paste. The service was the saving grace for this restaurant. Everyone was very nice and attentive with the drinks and changing the grill. We were spoiled with the picnic garden in queens where it's smaller and cozier but they did not cut back on the meat selection or the quality. Overall, we were very disappointed because it was still $40pp without tax/tip."

"Cafe Gallo has perhaps the best pizza in this neighborhood. This time, we had a gathering in a nearby park, keeping social distancing in mind. The event was a bit early in the morning, around the time they usually open. They still delivered on time. And the pizza quality was as it always is, i.e., excellent."

"I’m from San Diego CA and obviously I’m not Indian, but boy these food that I had was absolutely amazing. I forgot what they are called, the bun has potato, curry and chilly on it and the other one was kind of sweet with pea like crunchy stuff inside. Staff are absolutely charming and polite. I’d like to come back again and try the one with rose and dried papaya in a leaf, they made me try some but I’m rushing to drive up to NY. Will definitely recommend them."

"I love the food, it's delicious. I've been faithfully eating there for four years now at least twice a month. My problem is the new management cause there's not a lot of staff anymore to attend to customer, you'll never get what you need on your table or you chase after the servers. I decided not to give tip today because of the service I receive, and the moment I walk out of the door to my car one if the servers came running to me that I didn't include any tip. If I didn't receive the service I need why the harassment? If it was compulsory tip I could understand, but this server came running after me like I refuse to pay for my food and that's not cool, especially when you guys see my face there all the time. That's not nice."

"To begin with, if I had seen the reviews regarding the owners' attitude towards the LGBTQ+ community, we would have chosen not to dine here. However, now that we've had breakfast at this restaurant, I can say that both the food and service were excellent. Our meals were served quickly, the portions were so generous that my breakfast ended up being my lunch as well, and the prices were reasonable. We didn't feel intimidated or harassed by the staff, likely because we blend in as a couple. It's disappointing that if you support LGBTQ+ rights, you should skip this place, especially given the high quality of the food and service."

"On Friday evening, I decided to try this restaurant, and I was extremely disappointed. To start, it wasn’t even busy, so I can’t understand how they managed to serve me the wrong quesadilla. I ordered chicken and it seems like someone else ended up with my order. I had to wait in line for a long time, despite there only being four customers, including my son and me, while five employees were behind the register. Unfortunately, I lost my receipt, so I feel like I wasted $10 on something that wasn’t worth it. To top it off, they didn’t even mash the avocado to make guacamole! I won’t be returning to this place anytime soon. It’s basically the same as a Bootleg Moe's, but at least their sides are free."

"I placed my first order here, and to my surprise, when I arrived to pick up my fresh juice, I was informed that their machine had broken down and started smoking. Unfortunately, they didn’t call to let me know beforehand or ask if I’d like to order something else. Instead, the young employee simply said, “I’m sorry,” and walked out to join some friends. This experience was very unprofessional. The business needs better staffing and employees who are serious about their responsibilities and understand how to take care of customers."
