"I am giving this place 5 bc they are by far the most well rounded restaurant I’ve been to in awhile. Their food is tasty, their service is by far the best I’ve received in an Indian restaurant. I moved from FL to CA just recently and wanted to try this place out. I am glad, this place has such a high bar for service and quality of Indian food. Things that stood out to me: since the moment we sat down, they were very attentive. They made us feel welcome. My water was never less than half full (HUGE PLUS) they listened to our order and got it correct! My wife ordered kulfi but forgot to mention she’s allergic to nuts and they brought us pistachio kulfi which they let me but also gave my wife mango kulfi (on the house) which really earned them few stars! The last star was earned when they noticed we didn’t use the plastic bag to pack our food, their server brought us a brown paper bag to put our left over containers in. This… goes beyond what we expect as customers and earned them their 5th star. Keep doing an amazing job guys! You’ve earned a loyal customer from here on out!"

"I would recommend the food, not the management. I reserved a booth for a Saturday night a week in advance. Not only did they not hold our booth but made us feel like a nuisance when we were upset about it. As a matter of fact, we were turned away and asked to come back in 15 min. We did just that and when we returned 15 min later, they were just seating another couple at the booth we requested. Management came over to us and said, “ok, we will get you a table, what’s the big deal”? We left after that. Mind you, we eat here almost every week. Not very good customer service."

"Went here on a Saturday afternoon with a couple friends and ordered three sandwiches. There were no other customers present in the store until after we were served our food (this matters). Nobody greeted us at any point and they refused to even make eye contact. Very very very awkward and uncomfortable interactions for all of us with everyone that was behind the counters. After 12 minutes they took our order despite nobody else being in the store. Paid $55 for three sandwiches and 3 cans of soda. We asked them to cut our sandwiches into thirds and they refused--arguing that its not possible. Finally, when we asked to use their knife to cut our sandwiches, they said this one time they'll cut them into thirds but never again. Without any exaggeration, it took 40 minutes from when we walked in until we were served three cold sandwiches, in an empty store while the crew was roaring and horsing around in the back. There is nothing in the store that isn't cheaper in other markets and from other delis. We paid $55 for three sandwiches because we expect service that is consistent with that kind of charge, not just bread and meat with nasty attitude. Sandwiches were ok, but absolutely not worth a 40 minute wait in a place where you're skin is crawling and the employees don't know how to greet you much less give you a decent experience. Wouldn't go back."

"We have been regulars at Corner Bakery Cafe for several years due to our proximity to a nearby hotel. Previously, the manager was welcoming and approachable, which helped attract more customers. However, during our latest visit, we encountered a new manager. We ordered oatmeal, only to receive it cool in a cup instead of a bowl, and it lacked the usual crisp. I requested a sesame bagel unbuttered but ended up with a toasted everything bagel. The foam machine had been out of order for days, so we opted for iced coffee. Overall, there were six issues with our basic breakfast order for two. Despite tipping when I placed the order, I ended up being charged more for an extra cream cheese than what I tipped. These may not seem like major problems, but they were quite frustrating. The most disappointing aspect was the demeanor of the new manager, who came across as cold, uninterested, and slow to respond, appearing irritated by any requests or feedback. This was a stark contrast to the previous manager's friendly nature. I waited at the counter for quite a while without acknowledgment from the manager. It seemed I wasn't alone in my feelings, as the restaurant was rather empty. It's unfortunate that one person's attitude can significantly impact the overall experience. Mistakes happen, but the lack of respect and warmth from the manager responsible for addressing them is unacceptable. I do not recommend visiting this place until some changes are made, especially since the foam machine for the coffee is likely still out of order."

"Usually, places that have breakfast as their specialty will fall short at lunch. Well, not at the Nook. Their lunches are very, very good. The service is friendly and attentive, prices are about average, and the food is flavorful, fresh, and quite good. This is an odd complaint, but one that I have at some breakfast places; the portions are really big, too big. You'll need a box, but on the other hand, if you're not too starving, the meals are big enough to split. I'd definitely go back to The Nook."

"we wanted to eat something Mediterranean and I remember seeing a place close to where I live. the tor was great. Why? Because it is managed by Lebanese people. of all the Med food I had, both here and abroad, I found that the Lebanese cuisine is the best. they had all the usual items they would expect from kebobs to hummus to fill dripping leaves. but the Lebanese are brilliant in their use of seasoned. also the prices are low, the place is stylish and the service was perfect. we will return."

"I had lunch at this location for the first time today and had to take the time to thank the staff. I ordered a bowl and had started mixing, before getting a chance to take a single bite I ended up dropping the entire bowl on my lap. The employees wereincredibly kind and insisted on cleaning it up and making me a new one. They most definitely did not need to do either of thesethings and they did so without hesitation. I did not get a chance to get their names before they went back to work but just wantto thank the young lady with the bomb box braids who re-made the bowl for me and the gentleman with the great mustache whocleaned my deceased salad."

"RECOMMENDED!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I don’t know how to express my gratitude to their staff and manager. We had a gender reveal party there and they were sooo kind. We also played our music and started dancing after the party over there and they were so cool with that. FOOD their food was so amazing, for a brunch specially, the Italian omelet was so good and we are so happy we chose there for the party. They have parking and the environment was fabulous. Their bathroom also was so clean."

"I really hate leaving bad reviews but the decent/good reviews is what brought us there to give it a try. I must say it?s the worst tasting ramen I have ever had. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with ?fatty? pork (pork belly). I added fried garlic andshiitake mushrooms (and thank god I did). We were asked what level of heat we wanted and I asked for medium and my boyfriendwanted hot. The soup came with noodles, seaweed, sprouts, corn, pork, and my Garlic and mushrooms on the side. I noticed thebroth had a white-ish color to it. It tasted like it had cream in it (but was told it didn?t contain cream). The broth had notonly no heat but ZERO flavor. Honestly.. no taste plus that weird creamy texture, not my cup of tea. We asked for spicy chilion the side in attempt to salvage it. The chilli sauce had no heat either. I added soy sauce desperate for some umami.. reallycup o noodles has more taste than this broth. The pork was not tender no flavor and had a slight aftertaste. I had two bitesof it gave up. The noodles weren?t worth eating since the broth wasn?t tasty. I picked at my shitake mushrooms and garlic andcalled it a day. 2 soups and tip set us back about $45! We left feeling very disappointed won?t be back."

"I want to love this place. My husband enjoys it more than me, so maybe it's just a personal preference. Every time I got a very new sandwich like Fat Hot Chick, I thought it was rough. I couldn't swallow a bite. And that says a lot for a fat kid like me. I enjoyed her burgers and even her Philly cheese steak sandwich. Keep in touch with the classics is my best advice for here. But the last trip just made me. I held a milkshake after an operation as a surviving treatment. I have one of the novelties with Oreos and Carmel. I think it was Shake #4. It was $11.99 I was very excited for my big, tasty shake. At first it took about 10-15 minutes to get this shake. It wasn't busy, so I was a little sad. But I thought, man, it must be really good that it takes so much prep! When it arrived, oh man, the disappointment. It was SO SMALL! How really reminded me of a happy meal drink size. How can a 12 dollar shake be so small in the world?! I saw the menu and nowhere are the ounces listed. Sighs. Is that my fault? And the absolute heartbreaker was that it was 99% vanilla ice. It had blown up some oreos. And a swirl of Carmel. Oh, God. Eating shouldn't be so traumatic, but I already had a bad day and this... man. I think I'm ready to come here, but I'm likely to be back when I drag. The vibe is kind of cool. I love the music. Great hip-hop: Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z played. But the bright lights do not really comb with the cool mood. It just seems a little confused. The staff is cool. Friendly. Not in your face about what I prefer. I guess give this place an attempt, but ready for hit or miss food at a great cost for the value."

"This establishment is a landmark structure that has been here for years. The staff is efficient and professional. Food is better when you eat at the restaurant. You pay for the show and the friendliness of the chef. It’s a long standing tradition to go here for our birthdays. I almost always get Rocky’s Choice, and ‘yes’ I got it tonight. My hubby got the Splash n’ Meadow (steak and colossal shrimp). Both are 6 course meals including soup, salad, rice, shrimp appetizer, veggies, ice cream or sherbet. Hot green tea is also complimentary (See pics). 5 course meals don’t include the dessert. TIP: 1) Happy Hour is from 3-7pm at this location and only at the bar. You can get the Benihana award winning sake large for $5 (normally $11). 2) Parking on street next to restaurant after 7pm is free or across the street before 7pm (see the pic 3) Sign up on website for birthday coupon worth $30. "I would give a 4 star, bc I really like the coffee , BUT price gauging is NOT OK! So here's my honest review: The salad was ok. The steak was not properly cut, so there were giant pieces stuck to each other, and difficult to bite into, without using a knife. Not the best steak salad I've ever had. The coffee is really good. Just disappointed that the restaurant price gauges their customers on DoorDash. My order was 30% higher than at the restaurant! This is outrageous! So I had to pay DD fees and tip which is fine, but in addition I paid an extra $9 for a salad and coffee because the restaurant charges wayyyyyy more for the same menu items on DoorDash than they do in their location menu. This is not ok. Prices on delivery apps should be identical to in-store imho. That being said, I'd still be ok with a 1% or up to 3% up charge, but 30% is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Especially for a mediocre salad. Buyers beware."

"I placed a $200 order and ordered I received all wrong items. The food was poorly packaged and the rolls were a disaster. I also was missing items and the description of rolls was nothing like what I received. I called the restaurant they said nothing they can do about it and to contact Uber eats who in return did nothing about it. I asked for 5 utensils and chopsticks and I received none. No wasabi, no ginger, no soy sauce. I was so embarrassed in front of my guests and we literally used our hands to eat since we ordered the food to a business. I will never ever use Uber eats again nor order from this horrible place another time. I also forgot to mention that it took an hour for the food to be delivered which made the sushi taste and look terrible."

"I visited this restaurant on a Sunday morning after being invited by a friend to celebrate my birthday. He had been recommending this place for a while and urged me to try it out. They offer an all-you-can-eat champagne brunch buffet on weekends. While the champagne may not be top-notch, the bubbly and festive atmosphere made up for it. The hostess kept our glasses constantly filled, perhaps thinking we were on a date as she always smiled at us. Maybe it was because of her limited English, but I appreciated her hospitality. The buffet spread included a variety of dishes such as Lamb Saga, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Vegetable Curry. The food was delicious and spicy, which I enjoyed. It was one of the best Indian all-you-can-eat buffets I've experienced. The price was around $10-$12 per person, which I found to be very reasonable. I was so impressed that I recommended it to my sister and her family. They offer a $2 off coupon for the champagne brunch on their website, which Chinese parents will appreciate. The restaurant also has its own underground parking garage, making it convenient to visit."

"When we reached out, the staff first scolded us for contacting them, despite the issue being out of our control. During the call, Ronnie even laughed at us. She mentioned that they would send us a gift card, but after wasting 30 minutes trying to track down our sandwich order, it became obvious that she hadn’t followed through. We never received the promised gift card. After an already stressful day, being laughed at only added to our frustration, and the order issue was left unresolved. This was the worst service I have ever encountered. I’m appalled at how poorly Ronnie handled the situation and allowed her team member to scold us for calling the day after we noticed the mistake. It was completely absurd. Additionally, I’ve attached a photo below—why would I lie about an $11 sandwich?!"

When I picked it up, I asked for bread, and they told me I had to pay $1 for each package. It doesn’t make sense—if I were dining in, I wouldn’t be charged for bread. Why would I pay $3 for something that should have been included, especially when no one even acknowledged my thanks? I will never come back."
