"Hoboken Coffee Roasters was highly recommended to us by our AirBnB hosts, as well as by several family members. It did not disappoint! The staff were very friendly and engaging (when does that ever happen at Starbucks?? and were very proud of the coffee and pastries they produce. We had the best chocolate cherry scone we’ve ever eaten, and the cashier looked over at one of her co-workers and said, “yeah she was playing around and came up with this recipe.” Really exceptional. The coffee is also very good, as we purchased a pound of Okie Kid, Burundi single origin, and Sumatra single origin beans. They were so good we just placed an online order for 2 5lb bags to be shipped to our home in Houston. The story behind this spot is also really cool, so I encourage you to look at the “About” tab on their website."

"The food here is suspiciously good. Can't recommend it enough. I ordered the chicken fried steak and honestly it has changed the way I think about food. Not a lot of things in life offer surprises at my age but this restaurant made me reconsider things. Guthrie is not a convenient location for most people but this place is worth the drive. If there is a line, wait. If you can't get reservations, try again. If you don't have enough money, ask to do dishes. Gages is absolutely the best food I've ever had in Oklahoma. Treat yourself."

"By far, China Garden hands down has the absolute best Chinese. Usually when we want to eat out we have to drive in Edmond or OKC. But not when it's Chinese. Their portions are huge! "What a charming little hometown café! While it’s primarily known for its breakfast, I decided to try lunch, and it did not disappoint. The Chicken Fried Steak was outstanding—generous serving of breading with tender meat, which is not something you often find with this dish. "We had an amazing dinner at Roma's! There were 5 of us, and the food and service were top-notch. The garlic bread rolls were delicious when I poured the oil and balsamic vinegar on a plate. I had the Roma's Special. Lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, and chicken Parmigiano were so much better than olive garden. My wife had the manicotti, and the kids had shrimp alfredo, cheese ravioli, and spaghetti with marinara. My girls weren't all that hungry when we ordered but seemed to destroy their plates once they tasted how great it is!!!! I can't wait to get back up to Guthrie to eat there again and try some more of the menu."

"I absolutely love this restaurant—it's an excellent spot to enjoy a meal with friends! The food is fantastic, and the service is outstanding. Plus, it's quite affordable; for just one dish each, it only costs about $16 for breakfast and $22 for lunch for three people. I would definitely give it a 10/10 and would happily eat here again (this would be my third visit)!"

"This restaurant is quite inconsistent for me. Some days, the food is amazing—cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Other times, however, it’s overcooked on the outside and undercooked in the middle. I definitely recommend giving it a try and hoping for the best, as that’s what keeps me coming back. I'm pretty sure the bread served with the chicken-fried steak is homemade and not from a bag, and if you're lucky, it might just be the best chicken fried steak you've ever had."

"Katie's is a charming, inviting, and cozy restaurant. We've visited for both breakfast and lunch, and they truly excel at breakfast, while lunch can be quite busy. We sampled the French Toast, Belgian Waffle, and a BLT. The bacon was delicious, though a bit undercooked and very thin. The sausage patties were mild in flavor. While the Home Fries and Hash Browns were cooked well, they lacked seasoning. We absolutely loved the French Toast and Waffle, but the highlight was definitely the Coffee and Chocolate Cake. If you order the French Toast, make sure to ask your server for the butter on the side, as it was overly drenched in melted butter and egg batter today."

"The delivery person was quick and courteous, so the food arrived hot and fresh. Unfortunately, the food itself was a different matter. My wife ordered a Roast Beef Gyro, but received a Greek gyro instead. I ordered a Bacon Ranch Wagyu Steakhouse Burger, and both the gyro and the burger were poorly prepared, with toppings spilling out everywhere. Additionally, the burger was quite dry because all the ranch had fallen into the box along with the lettuce and tomato. We were very disappointed with the food, but I must say, the delivery person did a great job."

"We used the drive-thru and received a receipt that showed our order but didn’t include any prices. We had ordered 2 bean and cheese burritos and 2 chicken chalupas. According to the Taco Bell website, the burritos are $1.19 each and the chalupas are $4.79 each. When we got to the window, the woman told us our total was $17.98. We questioned the cashier about the amount, and she confirmed it was correct. However, there’s no way we spent that much, as our order without tax totaled $11.98. Unfortunately, we discarded the receipt, though it wouldn’t have helped since it didn’t list any prices. One thing is clear: we were overcharged, and we won't be returning. For $17.98, we could have dined at Senior Lopez and gotten a much better value."

"Absolutely the best barbecue spare ribs in Oklahoma! They are incredibly tender and packed with meat, containing little to no fat. You can choose from a variety of sauces and sides, including three different types of potato salad. If you're planning a big gathering like a holiday or tailgating event, I highly recommend pre-ordering takeout. They offer full slabs as well. Parking is conveniently located right next to the restaurant. Overall, a fantastic choice for lunch!"

"In actuality, the tap room and cafe are separate spaces. The bar entrance is in the alley way. The cafe up front is a fun character place with a retro, kitschy atmosphere, overdecorated with vintage signage and road-themed antiques. Adding to the interest are the large front windows with a great view of the main road. Servers are all young people but they are surprisingly attentive and friendly too. I added an extra star for the above things they are doing right... BUT, as for the food...Now that's when everything turns south. I had read good things about the food here, which makes yet another small town spot liked by critics that ultimately let us down. First their subpar barbecue. My ribs did have good smoky flavor, but were not fresh and very tough. Likely cooked days in advance in a large batch, reheated to order, and then left under a warming lamp for hours, as mine were out of the Friday night buffet bin. Smoked chicken also dry. Sliced brisket in their sandwich tough and old, the flavor more like roast beef. In all of my trips to Guthrie, I have yet to see their smokehouse in use. I will credit their bbq sauce is nice and tangy. Mushroom Swiss burger also had multiple problems. Patty was so dry and tough it was hard to chew (though charbroil flavor was nice). It was also just soaking in grease. So bad that the bun was already soggy and falling apart on first bite. Onion strings were also heavy and oily, gave us all stomach aches to end our night. A few more thoughts... A place like this should be serving complimentary pre-dinner rolls and butter. Be careful walking in and out of their parking lot after dark, it's pitch black out there. They really need to add lighting. Since the atmosphere and service are great, I rounded up to three stars. But the food is no better than 2 or 2.5. Still, expect a line of locals out the door on Friday and Saturday nights."

"First of all, this is the only dine-in pizza restaurant in Guthrie. I've lived here my entire life and have been coming to this location since it opened. We tried to order personal pan pizzas for our kids, but were informed they were out of the ingredients to make them. Then, we learned that they only offer medium-sized pizzas. We also wanted to order an 8-piece half-and-half wings but were told that wasn't possible (only one flavor for the entire order). To put it bluntly, this place has really declined in quality."

"I placed a mobile order for a Happy Meal at 10 PM and wanted to add an extra apple pie. However, before I could finish my request, an employee with light, messy brown hair, whose hair was sticking out from under his hat, interrupted me. He rudely informed me that I needed to move because there was another car behind mine. I would have gladly pulled around if he had communicated that instead of yelling at me. This location really needs to improve its staff; the level of rudeness is unacceptable. I’ll be reaching out to corporate McDonald's after posting this review."
