"Conflicted Opinions. I must admit, I want to write that this place is an amazing alternative to the big time, historical joints in KC, right here in downtown Lee 's Summit. But, it 's not. It 's okay. <br/ It is, however, a really neat little place. At some point this place was a gas station, complete with extremely old pumps, well kept, and a lobby that is size-wise appropriate to its gas station heritage...which means about 8 people can fit into this place.<br/ I 'm not sure there is really a specialty here, but the ribs, burnt ends, and sausage are all fairly good, though certainly not spectacular. They are, however, very good for the 'burbs. What makes this place special isn 't really the food. It 's the atmosphere. You 're in downtown Lee 's Summit, newly renovated and snazzed-out JoCo style, but with a distinct essencee of Mainstreet USA. There are triangular (delta) benches outside where the cars would have parked to gas-up, and the intoxicating aroma of bbq permeates the air. If you east inside, it 's like an intensely smaller version of Arthur Bryant 's, complete with dirty floors the order window. This is a good place to hit for lunch when you 're downtown, but not really a place I would ever consider going out of my way to get to."
