"First time visiting this restaurant was a pleasant surprise, although I was disappointed to find out about the price increase. The new special is now $25, with additional toppings costing $5, up from the former $3.50. The pizza sauce is obviously homemade and can vary in spiciness, so next time I will ask for a brighter red sauce. The ingredients were very good and fresh. I could only eat one slice and my mother had half a slice for dinner! Forget about the stale pizzas from Pizza Hut and Dominos, and instead opt for all-natural, locally-owned, family-operated pizza places. Buying from and supporting small independent businesses is important. I'll definitely be coming back here again."

"We stopped for lunch on our way through town on a long car trip. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere transporting, the food and service excellent absolutely outstanding experience! Highly recommended for devotees of the Mediterranean diet, plenty of vegetarian options. Chill vibe, interesting and varied menu, world class hospitality. We ordered too much food (intentionally) and took leftovers home to Cincinnati to enjoy tasty echoes of our memorable lunch. The börekler"

"I thought maybe the sushi would redeem the meal, so I waited. And waited. I watched other patrons receive their meals while I sat there for an agonizing forty-five minutes. By that time, I had finished a beer, which at least arrived in a timely manner. When my food finally arrived, the staff apologized for the delay. I was eager to see what they had spent so much time preparing. The rolls were average-sized, but there was noticeably more rice than fish. The tuna and salmon rolls were just that—plain tuna and salmon with no avocado or cucumber to add some freshness. I enjoy raw fish, but the quality of the fish itself wasn’t great; I only liked one of the three rolls. It's a favorite spot for some of my friends, so perhaps I’ll give it another try in the future."

"You’re stuck in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, a small town that’s mostly known for its universities and hospitals. Let’s be honest: it’s not exactly a culinary hotspot. As your stomach grumbles, you brace yourself for yet another meal that’s just meets the edible variety. But then, while aimlessly scrolling through Google, you stumble upon a place called Volcano Japanese Restaurant. Your initial thought? It’s probably as exciting as a sushi spot in West Virginia could be? Right? WRONG. Upon arrival, you step inside, and suddenly, it’s like you’ve been teleported to Legitsville, West Virginia. Population: you. The menu is a treasure map of sushi delights, authentic Japanese dishes, and intriguing drinks. Feeling adventurous, you order the Spider-Man 3 roll, fully expecting some cheesy, gimmicky sushi experience. Instead, what arrives is a giant masterpiece of crab meat, tempura shrimp, and other flavors so divine that you consider composing a haiku on the spot. Eager for more, you decide to leave some room for a second course and opt for the chicken teriyaki with rice. The portion is just right, and the flavors? Think blended, voluptuous, and savory. As you glance over at the next table, you spot diners receiving their order on what looks like a miniature carved bridge covered in sushi rolls. That’s when you realize you’ve discovered a true culinary gem, a hole-in-the-wall that’s actually a 5 out of 5 sushi palace. A spot you will be coming back to and raving to the homies about. The service? Top-notch. The waitress was so attentive, it was as if she could read your mind. The prices are shockingly reasonable for such high-quality food and an atmosphere that feels like a mini-vacation to Japan. So, if you’re currently lost in the void of Google searches, desperately seeking your next meal, stop everything. Make your way to Volcano Japanese Restaurant, and prepare for a dining experience that’s nothing short of explosive."

"I visit this place occasionally for drinks and some delicious food. The menu is quite accommodating for vegetarians, and their selection of craft beers has consistently been excellent. The bartender, Raven, is one of the nicest servers I’ve ever encountered. I highly recommend it!"

"Went here as a group of 14 after a WVU graduate school ceremony. We arrived around 3:30 so not super busy. Seated fairly quickly but had to juggle who sat where as booth seating on the one side of our table left many sitting chest high at the table. Received all our orders and drinks quickly. Mixed frozen drinks at $12 each, racked up our bill rapidly. ORDER with caution and don't assume anything is included..steak fries were charged an extra $2.50 even on meals that came with fries(we were asked if we wanted curly or steak fries not knowing steak fries were extra..chips and dip comes with mango salsa OR queso..we ordered 2-one with each -but the server suggested we get both with each..we figured ok would just be smaller portions, but no we were just upcharged for getting both..fried rice extra when it comes with white rice..again no mention of up charge). 20% gratuity AND an alcohol tax AND non-cash payment added another $100 to our bill). We also had a coupon from the restaurant app to receive a free burger. Even though we made it well known to the server ahead of time and showed her the code verification she forgot to take it off plus charged the extra $2.50 for the fries. So the meal went from free (this person ordered a water) to $15.50. The food was all really good except for the prime rib sliders..little to no seasoning on the prime rib..Top picks..Loco moco, Kal-bi beef short ribs, burgers, Hawaiian pork and cabbage. Plates were $16-19 each. Burgers were $13/13.50. 1/2 lb boneless wings $11.Sodas and iced teas $4, beers were $7-9 for talls. We misplaced our receipt so we called to get a copy and explained our concern to Brendan. At first he wasn't understanding but at the end of the lengthy text conversation he offered to compensate us with a gift card for a return trip. He did in fact send the gift card...we will go back and give them another shot now we're informed how to order and ask if anything is extra?"

"We were staying in Morgantown for a long weekend. We tried to get a table here the first night we were there. They were closing early due to a staff shortage. Two days later we tried again. We were seated right away. Our waiter, who was fantastic, apologized in advance for any delay because he was waiter, busser, cashier, host ...he was very busy. My husband and I each ordered a beer. Our waiter brought our drafts with the apology that those were the last 2 beers he could squeeze out; the CO2 lines were down. A brewery . With no brews. On Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I know Covid has stressed restaurants to the max... but this was a disappointment. The pizza was really good. If I am back in Morgantown I would try this place again, making sure they had draft beer first!! They posted these signs just before we left. Had we known there was an issue we would have gone elsewhere."

"We barely got any food after paying $80 for only 3 people. We paid $5 for extra bacon and received one extra piece. If you would even consider that as the "extra" bacon since we only got one piece in the Build Your Own Homestyle Breakfast to begin with. DO NOT order from here. Its well worth it to just go to Cracker Barrel and eat there. The Mommas French Toast Breakfast was good. However, they only sent one syrup for our whole order and we had French toast and pancakes."

"Great for vegetarians and us gluten- sensitive people : Ordered online and picked up 30 minutes later a delicious Indian Feast : My husband and I picked new menu items to try and have made the executive decision everything is amazing and you should change up your order for variety. Being stuck in the house we really appreciate having someone else cook us a super yummy meal. Tonight we ordered a mix grill, butter chicken, veggie spring rolls, Navaratna Kurma, Chicken Dosa, Garlic Naan and a bunch of sides. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner :"

"Very good. We live in Morgantown and finally made it to Pies Pints. I tried one of the craft beers and thought it was good, though I 'm no connoisseur. The pizza was great, made with fresh ingredients and homemade sauce. We went with the traditional classic combo of pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, banana peppers and tomato sauce instead of trying one of the nontraditional combinations. Yes, it 's a loud place, but that is to be expected of a pizza and beer joint. : We thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality and certainly comparable to or better than other restaurants in the area. The service was excellent: our sever was attentive and professional and the food was...read more"

"We ordered the Samosas, Veg Curry, and Aloo Gobi at this restaurant. Despite not being a criticism, we were surprised to find out that they have a spicy scale ranging from 1 to 10. Because my husband had a mouth injury and needed something milder than usual, we ordered a level 2 spiciness. However, it was still too spicy for him. The staff were very accommodating and provided him with a milder version. If you prefer your food to be mild, make sure to order a lower level of spiciness than you think you need. Otherwise, enjoy your meal."

"There was very little chicken on the buffalo chicken fries, making it not worth the $15 price tag. Everything here is overpriced for what you actually get. I spent a total of $40 for a meal that barely satisfied two people. The portions are disappointing, but the prices certainly aren’t. I would recommend ordering from a different place."

"Good food, great service, clean restaurant. We were looking for a Mexican restaurant at Morgantown and tried Los Mariachis as it was near our hotel. And we were not disappointed.Portions are enough for two people I'd say. Shrimp Fajita was delicious. So are other food items. Our server gave us a spicy version of salsa and that was packed with a good kick of chilly. One suggestion for the restaurant is to improve the quality of salsa which they gave with chips. It tastes like bought from Walmart.Apart from that, we loved the food. Much recommended if you're looking for a decent Mexican restaurant."

"I was very disappointed during my last visit, especially after being a loyal customer for so many years! First of all, the manager, who is usually present, was incredibly rude and unprofessional regarding the issue I faced. My order was incorrect due to the server misunderstanding a simple request. I was really let down by their reaction; every restaurant should maintain a professional and calm demeanor, regardless of any disturbances from other customers. That shouldn't have affected my experience! It's simply unacceptable to accuse a customer and argue over a $13 meal. If the server admitted that he didn't hear me correctly, they should have just remade the dish without any fuss. Unfortunately, I'll be heading to El Patron from now on, even if it means traveling an extra 30 minutes for better service!"

"I've been wanting to visit Yama for months now, and finally got the opportunity to go for dinner on Wednesday. Though their hours are limited, it was well worth the visit. Casual and cozy interior, we ordered our meal at the counter spicy tuna rolls, miso ramen, the pork cutlet and fried salmon bento boxes. The boxes came with a delicious array of side salads and miso soup, arranged with a lot of care. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their food. All the food was perfectly cooked..highlight for me was the fried salmon, which was super crispy but moist and juicy inside. Absolutely delicious meal and I highly recommend visiting!!"

"I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. When I mentioned to my escort that I wanted to try a meatless option, the manager overheard me and offered me a sample of their new meatless meat. It was truly delicious and had the same savory flavor as regular beef taco meat. I definitely plan to have a meal made with it next time! This place is great for EMS, police, and fire personnel, as they have convenient late hours during the school session. I've returned several times, and each visit has been a good one. The food is consistently fresh and tasty."

"Dry burrito!. Today I went to Black bear with some friends and we all had high expectations for the food because we've only heard great reviews! We were the first ones there so the wait shouldn't of been long. I ordered the build your own burrito with chicken and only had to wait about 5-7 minutes. My one friend who ordered before me got simple chips and queso. It took them about 20 minute to bring her her chips. The burrito was 7.50 which was a great price until i started to eat it. The chicken was not seasoned at all and very dry! It was horrible so I just picked out all the chicken. I was mad I paid 2 dollars for chicken that was horrible! The rice was pretty good but dry also. For the...read more"
