"We went to trade Jack’s out for the first time from a friends recommendation. The place itself is quite quaint, and reminds one of a more traditional breakfast spot of yesteryear with all the booth seating. There was a minor weight as we went earlier in the morning on a weekend, but we didn’t have to wait more than about 10 minutes. most of the staff was quite attentive, the only downside was our personal experience with the specific waitress we had. She didn’t seem to have much of any personality with us, but we did notice that she did with others that were local to Orcutt as opposed to us who are not as local. The meals that we had were all very tasty, and gave really good portions as well. The menu had a diverse selection of items for breakfast and lunch, so it was certainly a bit challenging to decide what we wanted to try for our first time there. Overall, the experience was quite good, and would certainly go back again. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5"

"Came for a coffee after lunch at The Homestead, which I was informed was a sister business to this one. Immediately I was intrigued by all the packaged good- grabbed a 4 each lemon drop/small muffiny things with an icing- a peanut butter brownie and a mocha cake. As I always do at a new place, I plead confused so the drinks need to be explained to me….and I was impressed- several staff jumping in to explain drinks and their favorites , I choose a blended caramel something- and it was perfection for my drive home! The lemon things were scrumptious- I will always include these in my treats pick up. The brownie was, at my doing, served refrigerator cold, so the flavors were not there. Next time I must remember to take out BEFORE dinner. The mocha cake was OUTSTANDING. I am stoked to have stumbled on this place- and am horrified to now have to share my loyalty to Gina’s Piece of Cake with Cups Crumbles! Viva Orcutt!"

"Their drink selection is impressive as well, whether you’re in the mood for coffee, a hearty meal, or a nice alcoholic beverage—this is the place to be! The only reason I’m not giving this place a perfect five stars is my personal opinion about the Cuban sandwiches: they just didn’t stack up to what I had in Florida, and I found them lacking. The ingredients and especially the bread were different, which might just come down to personal preference. It’s like the difference between pasta cooked fully or al dente; some might prefer one over the other. I believe their Cuban sandwiches just don’t measure up to the standard I’m used to, but with such an authentic and delicious menu, it’s hard to let that detract from the overall experience! Since I’ve only had Cuban food in Florida and not in Cuba itself, I may have developed a taste for a different style. After being disappointed by the sandwich, I’m hesitant to try it again given how fantastic the rest of the menu is. If you live in the area or are just visiting, you absolutely must enjoy a meal here. It’s truly a gem in Orcutt!"

"This restaurant used to be the go-to spot for a delicious burger, but my last few visits have been disappointing. The burger used to be piled high with lettuce, onion, and tomato, but now there's hardly anything on it. I also noticed that they have been serving fewer fries than before. Could it be under new management? The quality just isn't what it used to be. It used to be my favorite place to grab a burger."

"I’ve been wanting to try this spot and I finally did. I was very disappointed , shocked and regretful for coming here. Sadly I gave this spot a try on my birthday and had the worst experience at a restaurant ever in my life coming here! The food was fine but the type of “customer service” I got was horrible. At first I had one waitress that was sweet and I feel like she was trying her best to be attentive but then ASHLEY was I guess “helping” her and when she came to my table she was so rude. She came to bring some drinks and left right away without saying anything . I was wanting to ask her if we can have some straws so I said excuse me and she continue to walk away acting like she couldn’t hear me! At first I was like okay she probably didn’t hear me but when I helped myself to go get some straws myself since it was in a spot that I was able to grab she comes back saying “I have your straws here.” She was very passive aggressive. That’s when I realized that she did hear me and chose to ignore me! She was horrible throughout the whole time me and my friends where there. She again came back to bring a second round of drinks and again no straws on her? But says “And I’ll bring you your straws right now”again in a (passive aggressive manner) Like if you know I’m going to ask for straws why not bring them along with the drinks and not be having us wait for them?? Plus what waitress doesn’t have straws on them? She was honestly the worse waitress I’ve ever came across with. She’s a joke and is an older woman acting like she’s 15 with that type of attitude. She was so rude and disrespectful if a manager reads this I hope he talks to her about her behavior. She definitely hates her job and takes it up on others I can only imagine how she treats her coworkers. Plus the service was very slow we ended up having to order two drinks at the same time for the reason that they kept on forgetting about us. I was very disappointed I’ve never felt the way I did that night at a restaurant. I rather go to a taco stand by the projects then ever coming here again."

Young woman and man with glasses were conversing instead of paying attention, had to bring the check to them. Birria tacos were very salty, salsa for chips very bland and tasted only of tomato, and California fries quality could have been made at home. "Food is great. Main disappointment was that the waitress Jennifer was not giving good service. I have been here before and I know how big the serving of one of the ravioli dishes is. I asked for 2 servings and I was met with shocked eyes as if I wassure if I wanted 2 servings. I was 100% sure I wanted the 2 servings and she made me feel uncomfortable. I told her I wanted the2 servings and mentioned it 3 times but she redirected my request saying are you sure , how about you wait until you are donewith one , I think it 's too much at once . Why question the customer on his/her request. I was going to pay for what I wanted.Rather than offering me the food I wanted, every time she came around she asked me if I wanted a drink. This occured 4 times. Itfelt like I was at a bar being offered drinks. I came here to have a nice dinner with a friend and she just totally made me feeluncomfortable. In the end I did not have my second serving of ravioli. I felt judged as if I eat too much or shouldn 't eat toomuch. I like the food and when I come, which is not often, I want to enjoy it, not be judged for how much I eat. The waitressesand waiters need to make the customers feel comfortable when they come to have a nice meal. I 'm very disappointed with theservice."

"This review is for 2 seperate visits: therefore the drop in rating... 5 star on 1st visit and 2 star on second so overall 3 stars. First time back in several years. Because I had moved away. Today was delightful! the food was excellant, cooked just right! And the service. EVERYONE is so sweet and caring!! The place has great ambiance and character. Very clean, decent prices for the portions they serve. Well worth the trip! Really have to compliment Kay 's Orcutt Country Kitchen on the staff here. I love good food but more than that I LOVE NICE PEOPLE!!! Make sure you are hungry when you come here because the portions are huge. We brought home at least 50% of the food and will definitely enjoy it later. My grandchildren loved the kids menu activities, so did us big folks! Lol The pancakes are delish! Especially the Chocolate Chip!! I had the Beast Breakfast Special. It was so good ! The hash browns were cooked just right. I really dislike hash browns that are not cooked all the way. So 5 stars on these! YOU WON 'T FIND NICER FOLKS ANYWHERE!!! THANK YOU FOR GREAT SERVICE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!!!! _____________________________ Yesterday we went back for breakfast. 5/30/22 service was good as always but the food was not unfortunately. One person orders the Tri Tip breakfast, but the tri tip was way over cooked, it was like pot roast. It fell apart at the touch of the fork as you can see in the pictures. It was definitely not the Tri Tip taste or texture. So it was not eaten but left to be thrown away. I tasted it and yuk! I had a pancake and it was dry, I had a few bites but left the rest. My son had Chicken n waffles and he ate his up so it was good. My grandson who 's 14 had Strawberry waffles and he ate his up. For what it cost to eat here and the disappointing Tri Tip breakfast... we will not return. No one ever asked how we liked the food so we didn 't tell them but I belive it 's best to make a review. They were swamped but that 's not an excuse for a drop in standards because they thrive on business being swamped."

"Blast 825 has a variety of menu items such as burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers and main dishes. The bar accompanying menu includes a good selection of beers and cocktails. We enjoyed the Margarita Sampler, which is a unique offer of five different margaritas. Our sampler consisted of a Jalapeño Margarita, a Manhattan Margarita, a Lavender Pineapple Margarita, a Blue Hawaiian Margarita and an Orange Liquer Margarita. Lunch consisted of the farm Cobb Salad: Romain Salad, cherry tomatoes, egg, blue cheese crumbs, bacon bits and wet grilled chicken. We also enjoyed the Ortega Chili and pepper Jack Burger with red onions, spicy garlic aioli on a roasted Brioche beer with killer French pommes. The burger was perfectly cooked at medium rare temperature. A little sloppy with cheese and aioli had to eat with a knife and fork. Maybe you have the sauce on the side. Eat in the friendly bar room, indoors or outdoor terrace with the well. The toilets are clean and several. Parking is available at the front, but shares with another restaurant. Psst the other restaurant is closed on Mondays, so the parking is all you then. Not a five star because the food is not spectacular. It is a good brewery/sport bar food. Fries are thin as McDonald's but more additive! Yummy!"

"I absolutely adore this place! It is the top spot in Orcutt for Sushi. It is conveniently located near my house, which adds to its appeal. The variety of options is excellent and the service is fantastic. While the country music playing was a unique touch, I had no complaints about it. The sushi rolls were outstanding. This visit was for a quick lunch break, and they were prompt and delicious. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning."

"Even their bread isn 't vegan, so their menu appears to be vegan friendly, but they gave us the Po Boy in a lettuce wrap, which wasn 't a wrap, it was more of a messy salad with cold eggplant and unmelted cheese. Their french fries are fried in the same oil as the shrimp, so the only vegan side is their broccoli slaw, which is shredded broccoli stems with no flavor whatsoever. Will never go here again :"

"The pizza at this restaurant is incredible, but the service is terrible. This was my second visit and unfortunately both times I had a similar experience. I placed an order for pick up and was told it would be ready in 30 to 40 minutes. When I arrived after 40 minutes, I had to wait at the counter for 2 to 3 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Despite being the only customer in the restaurant, the staff seemed disorganized and ignored me multiple times. After finally being helped, I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my pizza. The pizza itself was delicious but quite pricey. It seems like the restaurant is only staying open because of the quality of their food, as their customer service is severely lacking."

"Taco Bell serves food that is consistently decent, but this visit didn't go as smoothly. My order was incorrect, and I went home feeling hungry, so that's a couple of stars lost. I can't be too hard on the staff since they're making less than $15 an hour, so their motivation might be limited, especially with no benefits and no tips due to corporate policies. I ordered a dozen Soft Taco Supremes, but instead, I received a mix of burritos and non-Supreme tacos, none of which were soft. I called to inform them of the mistake and left a message on their answering machine. I ended up driving back, and they did correct my order, but it wasn't a complicated one to begin with. Overall, I don't think I’ll be in a hurry to return."
