"Although the food and our server were excellent my overall first impression of Mimmo’s is just okay. My mother in law wanted to come here for Mother’s Day so I went ahead and made a reservation. They didn’t advertise a limited menu for Mother’s Day so we were upset they didn’t have anything we actually wanted to order. We wanted the crab and artichoke dip to start and it wasn’t on the menu. We wanted the Chicken Toscana, my teenage nephew and niece had a hard time picking out meals because we also came to order pizzas which were not offered! My mother in law ordered the stuffed shrimp scampi and she said it came out cold after it took a long time for our food to come out. By the time her food was remade our table was done eating and she was the one we were celebrating!! Our reservation was at 2:30p and when we arrived no one was in the foyer to greet us. From there the server was great but the food service was slow. I understand it was Mother’s Day and expected to be busy but we waited so long for a limited pasta menu just to have one of our meals come out cold. At 2:30p it seemed like a Friday night would be more chaotic as it didnt seem too chaotic in the afternoon, just filled with people all waiting for food. It seemed as though they were ill prepared for Mother’s Day. I’m disappointed there wasn’t a manager that came around to greet tables. I’m also upset they didnt comp my MILs meal since she did t get to enjoy. I thought the food was good once it finally came out but I would just rather go to like a chain restaurant such as Texas Roadhouse or even Buca di Beppo they know how to pump out the food quick, provide service on busy holidays and it’s always consistent and good. I’m sorry mom and pop restaurant, we tried you for Mother’s Day and it just wasn’t a great 1st impression for me. I’d love to come back for a lunch on the patio with less pressure to please my mother in law! The drink I had was delicious and I’m still curious to try the pizza!"

"This place was such a disappointment. I ordered the Chesapeake crabcake sandwich that came with coleslaw and french fries. My guest ordered the fish and chips. The fish and chips were pretty good and the crab on my dish was really tasty as well. However, the bun, the lettuce and the tomato that accompanied the dish was just a little too large to go with such delicate crab meat. Another terrible thing about this place unfortunately, is the staff. We had a waitress that was really inattentive and rude. I ordered one beverage and on the menu it said that it had fresh lime juice in it. However, it did not have fresh lime juice. They put roses in it and they overdid it. I informed the waitress that I wasn 't impressed so I sent it back. I ordered another and they muddled the cherries in the bottom of the beverage, which is a big no-no. I also sent that one back. The waitress told us that they are a pooled-house which means waitresses and waiters are supposed to work together meaning that they all can help each table when individual guests need assistance. I think this was her way of saying, why don 't you talk to somebody else. One thing that also really makes this restaurant different than others is that when a customer is unsatisfied with a certain part of a meal or drinks, service or staff, the management should come over to the table and make sure that everything is OK and say, we would love to have you back again, and make sure that your experience is better than this one. So, please don 't allow this first visit to be a reflection upon the rest of our service and commitment to our guests. So I will say this, we will never come back here again."

"Ah, Chick fil A, ye fast food restaurant of 1,000 sauces and staunch Christian values. The service here is top notch. Always has been, always will be. Their training of young people has got to be off the chain. Everyone is so damn respectful and accommodating here. I think if anyone ever got poor service at Chick fil A, THAT would make national news, because it'd be so out of the ordinary. But let's just talk about the food for a minute. And perhaps more importantly, value. I never feel like I get a good value at Chick fil A. Like, a plain little chicken patty on a bun is $4.00. A chicken wrap is $6.85. You can find chicken sandwiches for a dollar or two at any other fast food restaurants. I know just writing this I'm going to get a ton of flak. I can feel it in my bones. But can we also talk about sauces, too? Polynesian? Revolting. It's a ketchup gloopy mess. Even the signature Chick fil A sauce is a lazy combination of BBQ, honey mustard, and ranch. On paper, I guess that should taste good? Wait, no, it shouldn't. It sounds awful, and it is awful. That concoction should be reserved for Gitmo prisoners. If you want to torture someone, feed them Chick fil A sauce and they will talk, I guarantee it. Sorry, but I have to admit you can get better chicken sandwiches at Popeye's and Bojangles less than five miles away on Fifth Street. I don't think people are aware that we have the northernmost Bojangle's location in the entire country. In fact, the one in Reading, PA is the only location in PA, and the next closest is in New Carrollton, MD 138 miles away. People don't know what they have here! Ok, so here's my controversial take of the day I'd rather have better food and mediocre service than mediocre food and great service. I'd rather go to Popeye's and get a bangin' sandwich that I'll dream about over the A service at Chick fil A coupled with a sub par sandwich. That's my story and I'm sticking to it."
