"I was VERY pleased with the pad thai. The service was excellent and the place was clean and well-lit, a plus for me because I sometimes like to read while I eat. The place IS, in fact, owned by the owner of the 'cat ' Ding How (see earlier reviews), but the current manager is second-generation restauranteur, and he 's doing a very good job or redeeming the Ding How name."

"We got here at 5 pm on Black Friday. We had a wonderful meal Tuna Carpaccio for an appetizer with a whole grain mustard sauce different bit it was great. Tuna was fresh and the sauce tangy and balanced. We both ordered hibachi filet mignon for me and chicken for my partner. Hibachi came with soup, salad, fried rice, and vegetables. I haven't had fried rice in a while, and this was the best fried rice I've ever had. Portion sizes were generous without being outrageous. Our server and Hibachi chef were awesome and attentive. Drinks were strong but not overpowering. Atmosphere a little stark but the service made up for it. Absolutely would recommend."

"Wow, I've had Greek food across the country and this place is second to none! Who would have thought that MS would have such great Greek food. I'm a foodie and have eaten here several times in one week instead of going to some other good choices in the area. Tried a lot of the menu and the chickpea fritters is a repeat order as well as the feta dip. Give them a try if you haven't already! "The presentation of the dishes was quite appealing. The ribs looked enticing, but sadly, they were lacking in flavor. The roasted potatoes were acceptable, but the real highlight was the corn grits; they were incredibly rich and buttery—I could have easily devoured a whole bowl of just those. Unfortunately, while the roasted chicken was visually appealing and served hot, it was disappointingly bland. Even salt and pepper couldn't salvage it. This was in stark contrast to the vibrant meal I had enjoyed at another location, which left me quite disheartened. I barely touched the chicken, and if I had been at home, I could have easily improved it. Instead, I ended up tossing the leftovers. I had been genuinely excited about dining here multiple times, but I must say that while the presentation was nice, the food fell short of my expectations."

"I was there with a group. We were placed in a rather large secluded room. The atmosphere was nice, but the room was a little too dark for me. The appetizers and the meal were fantastic. I especially enjoyed the pimento cheese toasts but the charcuterie board had a nice variety of sauces, nuts, meats and cheeses. For my meal, I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly but unfortunately the seasoning was a touch too salty. The cut was thick enough that I just cut the salty bit away, but it was slightly disappointing since I do enjoy the seared portion of meat in my bite for texture Friends who ordered the shrimp and grits had such a generous serving that they took a meal home for the next day. They were equally impressed with the taste of their meal. Both the key lime pie and the bread pudding were very large servings and tasted so good, we ate every bite! "This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant! We had reservations for my friends birthday on Saturday July 9, 2022. Our waiter Rashied was the WORST!!! We placed our drink and appetizer order. One of the drinks where made wrong and he tried to make it seem as though we didn't know that it was made wrong. We placed an order for crab claws but ordered the wrong ones. We asked could we change them as soon as we realized that what we ordered was wrong. He said he would talk to his manager. He came back with the crab claws packed up in a togo box and said that the manager said we would have to pay for them but if we wanted to order the correct ones we could. We asked could we have some bread, he stated he doesn't bring the bread out until he brings out the salads. For a table of 10 people he brought out 8 rolls. It took a very long time for us to get out food and when it came out it was cold. One of the people in our party asked for their steak to be cut in half. Everyone who ordered a steak, their steak was cut in half. As he was passing out the food he spilled steak juice in her hair, and all over her clothes. He was nonchalant and unapologetic about what he did. We asked for a manager and Jeffery came and had the same attitude. He offered her some soda water to try to get oil out of her linen dress. We addressed our concerns about the food, the drinks and the service and he basically said nothing but he was sorry. He asked who had a problem with their food. He would take the food off but the drinks we still had to pay for. The waiter Rashein attempted to give the lady in out party a check. She told him to give it to Jeffery Shapley (the manager) who gave her the soda water for her ruined lien dress. To make matters worse he lost one of our party's credit card. He told her she was irresponsible and that she was being childish. He then proceeded to say that he had been sick of us (the patrons) and he told her F her! The manager never came back and said anything! He stood at the hostess station the entire time. This was the most racist establishment that I have ever been to! To be treated this way is ridiculous and unacceptable. So needless to say the food was horrible, service was horrible and the experience was horrible!!!! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant period!!!! My friend has a ruined linen dress, oil in her freshly done hair, and oil in her Louis Vuitton purse. And all the owner Jeffery Shapley had to say with a nonchalant look was I'm sorry. I would give this restaurant ZERO stars but it wouldn't allow me to leave a review without selecting one."

"For vegetarian options, a member of our group enjoyed the vegetarian plate, though I don’t have further details on it. I ordered tacos, which were delicious, and another member had steak over rice, which they were very happy with. Regarding dietary restrictions, we had a vegetarian in our group. As for kid-friendliness, this is a family-owned establishment, and I noticed several children dining there. The daughter served us and was very friendly, enhancing our experience alongside the excellent food! We dined in for lunch, and the price per person ranged from $10 to $20. Overall, I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars. I highly recommend this restaurant for vegetarians!"

"Food was delicious only issue was the overcooked asparagus which they took back and off our ticket. The Blackfish was amazing everyone seemed to enjoy their steaks as well and my mother liked her scallops! They did go above and beyond in my opinion by calling us after to let us know our salads they had put in the fridge and were still in there and offered to run them down for us which was super nice!"

"I’ve tried both their seafood gumbo and the turkey neck surf and turf pot, and I was impressed with the perfect spice level and the incredible depth of flavor. Many restaurants attempt to make a roux, but Gumbo Girl has truly mastered it. Be prepared to get a little messy as you savor every bit of meat in your bowl—hope your date is okay with that! The restaurant itself is clean, stylishly decorated, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and the owner/chef even took the time to chat with us for a few minutes. You can really sense her passion for cooking. They also have a fantastic to-go option, so you can grab containers of gumbo and more to enjoy at home. I will certainly be returning in the coming months and years. Laissez les bons temps rouler!"

"Overall experience was disappointing. There was an odor in the bar area. All the food seemed to have been rushed. Like warmed up. Stuffed mushrooms that I had there at the bar tasted fine but I could see where the plastic wrap had been pulled off and then set in a warm oven for several minutes. My to go order came out few minutes later. The loaded potato was plain hard in the center. The medium rare NY strip was pink to edge. Steak was pretty good just undercooked. Broiled tomatoes the same. Granted I have a 20 minute commute to the house but that doesn 't explain the undercooked potato, tomatoes and steak."

"I'll give him 5 stars because everything was beautiful. my man and I had a little cursed to the birthday on this weekend. We ate here what was only our second time, not because we don't like it, but we don't have time to just get out and do something. we really enjoyed each other. we both had weeping and liked it. he had mimosa (zit, mild sweet) and I had peach bellini (peachy and sweet, not too sweet). the appetizer fried ravioli and Sicilian meatballs, both were very good, much taste. I had color-fall alfredo and he had lasagna and chicken parmesan. no dessert. the bill was about $70 . love the atmosphere and everyone was nice. it didn't take long to get out of the food. I love the fact that we were not served our meal together with our appetizers. they give them a lot of time to enjoy their appetizers first and chit chat. Oh yes, they serve them focaccia brot with olive oil and grated parmesan cheese. it's delicious. will definitely go back."

"It doesn’t look like management checks and responds to these reviews, so this post is for patrons: Avoid lounge seating between 1pm-5pm. The service in this area is lackluster at best. I’m willing to extend the young man (our server) some grace because he’s the *only* person waiting tables and serving the bar. That said, he needs training. He didn’t introduce himself by name, it took him ages to refill our drinks, he didn’t ask if we’d been to the restaurant before, etc. He’s not rude; he just needs training. The young lady who brought our food to the table was downright nasty. She didn’t ask if we needed anything (we did), and when we dared to ask her for sauce (something I’d requested when I ordered the meal), she rolled her eyes as if I disrupted her day. Her entire demeanor was unapproachable and rude. She needs training. Now onto the foodThe food is a 10 out of 5!!! I really hope management gives the kitchen a raise. Literally everything I ate was perfect. The catfish, the fries, the hush puppies, the salad, and the crème brûlée were absolutely delicious. If I could rate the food alone, it’s an easy five-star review. The service in the lounge area is a 1-2 star for sure; however, the hostess is amazing and super kind. This restaurant has too much potential to allow poorly trained staff to take away from the ambiance and the exceptional food. Rarely am I willing to return to a restaurant after experiencing poor service. In this case, the food is exceptionally good! I am willing to return, but I’ll sit in the dining area and provide an update."

"this place is magical. I have always loved to visit soulshine for the cancer bread. together with my 2 young sons attend ms and I thought it would be fun to take them here for pizza, as it was one of my favorites when I lived here. when we went through the door, we were greeted and sat by the sweetest girls. After I had received our food, my 4 year old accidentally shook salt over his pizza instead of Parmesan cheese. the manager who walks around randomly, just like that happened, came to ask if we had a good experience. I told her that he had salt spread over everything and within 10 minutes he had a brand new hot pizza. the foods and cocktails were delicious, but my children suggested that I give this place a million stars. we'll be real soon."

"I am frequent this Newks about once every two weeks. It is so convenient and the food is simple. One of my favorite things to get is the sausage and pepperoni pizza. It's so good I probably shovel it down in five minutes tops! I also really like their sandwiches. All in all it's a great place for dinner when it's cold out after a busy day of work."

"Amerigo's is a Jackson establishment for a reason! It's my favorite restaurant in town! I eat their salmon once a week at least! And the Gorgonzola vinaigrette is superb! Never had a bad dish there, never had a bad experience there, and the waitstaff is fabulous! I get it to go a lot on Friday nights after long work week. Early bird prices are best deal in town. I highly recommend it!!!"

"My girlfriend and I ate there last night for the first time-celebrating her 43rd birthday. I’m 53 but age is just a number. Our filets were the best we’ve ever eaten in our 96 years on this earth. All the side dishes were excellent as well. Added edit: I’ve noticed that some supposed bad reviews have been posted by people. All I have to say is This Truth: This restaurant is always on top of their game in every way and anyone that says otherwise is probably just a person looking for free food or a petty lawsuit. It’s the best food and service in the Region!"
