"Don’t make my mistake eat here now. I’ve passed by Hot n Chili numerous times and always said I was going to try it. It took me over two years to finally get there and it was so amazing. The food, the service and the ambiance are the best in San Clemente. I had the lunch buffet and there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like, you know those places where you know you’re done, but you still go back for more? This was one of those. My daughter who said she doesn’t like Indian food based on trying it at another place in LA? She also loved it and had seconds. The service was also incredible and friendly. I felt so welcome here! So .. don’t make my mistake and go here today, get the buffet, order a lassi to drink, and finish with a spoonful of fennel. You’re welcome in advance."

"Hands down the friendliest, most accommodating, and helpful staff I’ve ever been in contact with. Their food is amazing, they have an excellent bakery which I’ve found to always have something nice to try. Their sandwiches and salads are amazing. Their app is the best part for me as you can chose anything from their menu, pay and order through the app, and they’ll put everything in to go packaging in one bag. This is great for when I’m feeling lazy so I order my lunch for the day from Panera. Their drinks are amazing, especially the cold smoothies, the frozen mocha is my personal favorite. They have a great fountain drink selection from a soda machine to healthier lemonades and teas. The atmosphere for the inside seating is incredible, it’s very warm and welcome with a bit of a modern feel. It’s always clean on the inside the floor is kept very clean and so are the tables, the staff is really on it when it comes to cleanliness. The outside seating is very nice especially with the fountain. Overall I have no complaints, their food is amazing, their service is the best around, and the atmosphere is stunning."

"Price is okay, wait time is okay, parking is difficult, Atmosphere is very loud, like yelling at the person right next to you to hear anything loud. Very busy. Good location. Highly recommend the cheesy bread appetizer for kids and adults! So good! Alfredo sauce was very delicious. The tea is a bit weird, The stuffed calamari was not overly chewy. The spaghetti squash spaghetti was not nearly as good as how I make ours but was fun to try anyways. I tried the fettuccine Alfredo with broccolini. The broccolini was not yummy and was very hard to bite. I wish normal broccoli was the option. The Alfredo was very good though. The time between going in, ordering drinks, ordering food and then getting food was all extremely spaced out. We arrived at 5:15 and did not leave until 8pm and that was just getting through those 4 steps, so expect to spend some time here if you have a big party. Front inside entrance is not handicap accessible but there was a back entrance that might have been (not certain). Seating is outdoors and indoors. Cute decorations, very kind staff. Happy Eating!"

"I know we review Brick often but the food is so good we tend to eat there more than anywhere else. Chef David Pratt is just beginning to bring out his new Spring menu. My husband has been begging Chef to bring back a steak and he has! It is grass fed and dry aged 42 days so it is the most tender and flavorful steak we have had in a very long time. I just do not know how he gets it so perfectly medium rare throughout and this was not sous vide. It is done on his wood grill. The potato almost like pancake was the perfect side he prepared with the steak along with the just picked vegetables. Cannot wait to make our way through the rest of the new items!"

"This place impresses me more every time I visit. I train right next door, and we often choose to come here for convenience. With such great value and delicious food, I know we'll be back more frequently! The Ochsenschwanzpho is outstanding. I particularly enjoy the vermicelli dishes, especially the one with pork, shrimp, and egg rolls. I tried the rice yesterday but couldn't resist stealing some of my wife's noodles; the pho is truly a winner! It's so delicious! I can't wait for my next meal here."

"We had dinner here tonight after kids requested Panda Express. Lol. We told them we have much better option and boy they're glad we came here. The sweet and sour chicken is really good. I love the Beef with string beans. They're both flavorful. The guy server is nice and our food came in quick. I wish the parking situation is better but the food makes up for it."

"Their pricing influences my rating. You can find better taste and ambiance at Thai Brothers in Laguna Beach or Spice Thai in Lake Forest, although both are considerably more expensive and not located in San Clemente. This restaurant is a great option for takeout if you're craving Thai food locally. While the dining area has a somewhat generic feel, it's acceptable. However, the manager and servers are genuinely nice people, and the food is definitely decent. It feels almost like a hole-in-the-wall but lacks that cozy, lived-in charm. That said, the food is still satisfying. The nearby Thai Paradice in North San Clemente is a true hole-in-the-wall, but despite claiming to use the same recipes, their food isn't quite as good. I highly recommend the Tom Kha with shrimp, Panang with beef, Green Curry with pork, and the Yellow Curry if you prefer milder options."

"My husband and I have been devoted patrons of Romanos for many years. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is outstanding. During the COVID pandemic, it became our favorite spot for convenient and tasty family dinners. As a family that follows a plant-based diet, we’ve always found the kitchen staff to be accommodating, creating substitutions or even new dishes to match our dietary needs. "I never ordered food here. You can say that Mulligans is proud of their kitchen, she distinguishes them from other bars. I ordered the Shelley Burger at my last visit, and it was one of the best burgers I had in a while. The fries were seasoned, which was a wonderful surprise. It was incredible filling. I didn't take part in the pool because I was there for the game, but there is free pool there every day of the week. I think they have 6 tables, so it always takes care. There is also a terrace that allows you to enjoy a drink and a smoke at the same time. I've been there for about 10 years and never had a bad time."

"Loved the short rib sandwich, the taste I had of my wife’s burger, and the lemon ricotta beignets. Short rib was incredibly tender and moist. Onion crisps helped make sure it didn’t feel soggy. Flavor combinations were unlike anything I’ve had before. Just the right amount of peppers and horseradish crema so it didn’t dominate the sandwich. Side salad had pickled red onions that added just the right zest. Clearly a chef in house who knows what he/she is doing. 30-40 min drive for us, but definitely planning to come again. Well worth it. (Doesn’t hurt to swing by San Clemente beach for sunset stroll while we’re there)"

"I consider myself a foodie and make it a point to eat at as many James Beard nominated restaurants across the country whenever I can in NYC, Philly, St. Louis, etc. Tonight, the Village Mediterranean Rim blew me away with the excellently prepared entrees that my husband and I ordered. We chose the lobster ravioli for an appetizer and it was delicious. The salad was so fresh and as my husband stated, the dressing was perfect and did not overpower the salad. We shared the Colorado lamb shoulder tagine, with a side of couscous and roasted vegetables and could not believe the delicate taste and how excellently prepared this dish was. I can tell you without a doubt that this restaurant is one of the best in Orange County and quite honestly, it rivals any James Beard restaurant I have been to for taste. I travelled to Morocco years ago and since then have searched for tagines across our country that have been expertly prepared. Tonight, I found it at Village Mediterranean Rim. Unbelievably good and we can't wait to come back again and experience more entrees"

"When our family craves pizza, this is our favorite place to go! We always like to try something different, and we've never been let down. They offer a variety of crusts and toppings, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. My family loves the Brooklyn pizza with a New York-style crust, while I often choose the fig leaf Neapolitan pizza, which comes with a delicious drizzle of balsamic glaze. We've picked up from here several times, especially in the last few months, and our orders have always been ready on time. Even with my kids' picky preferences, everything is always exactly as we requested. It's also worth mentioning that the staff is very professional and well-trained; they have an efficient take-out system, and everyone is wearing gloves and masks. "This tiny restaurant is, seriously, one of the best reasons to visit Sam Clemente.Two words 'shell free Cioppino '. OH MY WORD, filled with seafood, shellfish, veggies, and spices. It was so delicious I almost wished that I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup. But I 'm glad I did because then I had room for the Seafood Deviled Eggs. Three eggs, six halves each filled with a spiced standard yolk mixture and topped with lobster claw meat, flaked crab, or large salad shrimp so good!Dan, the owner, is as nice as can be. Genuine and kind. There are a few tables to enjoy the delicious food. Located in Old Downtown San Clemente, the Lobster Shack is definitely worth the drive if you 're in Orange County, CA.I ate half my meal at the restaurant and then drove to the beach to enjoy the rest with my Arnold Palmer. "Horrible. I am so sad this happened to this location. All the food we ate was much smaller portions and all of the fish tasted very old. I go to different Full moon locations all of the time and they are typically very delicious whenever I go. I also ordered a baked salmon roll and they didn't put it in with my to go, but charged me for it. Very very sad. I used to be obsessed with this location."

"We decided to try Cafe Mimosa on Sunday. It was a long wait. Waiting is common for any nice restaurant in OC, so we get it. But they had a young girl just writing names and throw out a time. There were two tables for two that sat empty for an hour while we waited. I managed a restaurant in NYC, so I went over and just simply asked about the two empty tables that were sitting empty for 45 minutes. Her response was I need those for a bigger party. With a smile, I said, we could have already eaten and left. Naturally when a restaurant like this has young kids not properly trained, it 's pointless. But to make things even worse, some guy in a hat and mustache comes out moments later and confronts us. He says, let me show you something. Points out the 5 groups ahead of us, says we need those tables and says to me, so you see, that 's how we roll and you have to wait . Not, my apologies for the wait, we 're managing the best we can and it can be difficult to manage to accommodate everyone. Completely unprofessional and actually confrontational. Two other parties next to us had their eyebrows raised. This guy was a royal Ahole with a bad attitude. Thankfully my wife quickly ushered me out of there. Also, while we were waiting, we witnessed a waitress through the window, take a linen wrapped silverware, and wipe off remaining moisture on the table that she wiped with a wet rag. Nice... so wet rag, followed by using your linen that will touch your face eventually. Poorly managed restaurant."

"Small sushi spot, but so some of the top sushi in OC!! Make sure to try the spicy tuna deep fried rice appetizer! They recently opened a second location in Laguna Niguel too. It’s much larger than the San Clemente location which is as I mentioned quite small/can be difficult to get seating or order take out; however the new location means there’s a back up if you’re not able to get in to the San Clemente one. They do not take reservations. You can put your name on a list when you arrive and then wait for a table. Get there early to ensure you get a spot. Otherwise they do tend to cut off the waiting list after a certain time, depending on how busy it is. They do not offer delivery and it can be difficult to get through on the phone, but it’s worth the wait! Enjoy!"

"my wife and I have recently san clemente, ca, visited, on Friday, to take a sunrise to sunset walking group (on the list of meetup groups online) take a tomorrow 4 miles wet sand walk on the beach. then linda and I go for brunch to active culture. we go back to this place because of the friendly and efficient staff, and the excellent vegan options we have discovered here. the simple salat on the photos - has garbanzos, cucumber, carrot, sunflower seeds, tomatoes, greens, wobbles and sprouts- with a vegan dressing on the side. their bean patty, which they serve on vegan toast and a selection of fries or side sallad, if asked, is also unforgettable. this is a must for the hungry animal-free esser in a beautiful coastal community in southern California."
