"I had a wonderful meal and experience at Tookie's Seafood. This place is fantastic! From the thoughtful design of the restaurant to the incredibly friendly staff, it's a great option for dining. Both the exterior and interior are well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I observed the staff interacting positively, sharing smiles and laughter with each other, which contributes to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. You definitely won't feel overlooked or ignored here. My meal was served in a timely manner, and the food was prepared exactly as I requested. The kitchen staff clearly knows their craft! I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner along with an ice-cold draft beer. I highly recommend Tookie's Seafood Restaurant for delicious food and cheerful service!"

"Are you listening? I love this place! it is cozy and local and there is a little hidden secret in which I cannot reveal? but do we say the locals go and hang around for hours? the only reason why my rating is 5 stars because I ordered a shrimp pool and I was upset when the garnels were?t golf garnel because I?m from louisiana and I was so excited to get nawlin's poor young bread? just to be jealous of my daughters who had gulf garnel in them? Why should they do that? the brot was delicious? and the buffalo chicken sled we had as an appetizer was great!"

"My husband and I keep coming back to this delightful place despite many shortcomings. Let's get those out of the way first. Each meal comes with a visit to the salad bar. This comprises of a few very basic ingredients from which to choose and in our opinion is not worth the Villa's effort. Service is irregular. Often we have excellent servers who are attentive as well as in tune with serving protocol. Other times we have been served by hard working and well meaning wait staff who merely need a little training. WE also find the food irregular and my husband typically is more impressed than I. We agree that food quality can range from 2 to 4 stars. We prefer Villa Capri for lunch when casual dining is our preference. Admittedly we are latent restaurant alcoholics and the supply of brands of alchol available is very limited. Wine by the glass is available only by generic house wines which are mediocre however, wine by the bottle choices are far more extensive. BUT there is MUCH that elevates this as a dining experience here to a three, sometimes even 4+ star experience, depending upon the particular day or evening. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the landscaping of the water view grounds is mature and well maintained. Outdoor dining is superior to most in the area as it is sectioned into a few different patio type areas with (night time) romantic lighting and spacious seating areas. One can order a beverage and stroll towards the water's edge while waiting for dinner or lunch to arrive. The inside dining area is also very attractive with window views of the water (Clear Lake) and grounds. Both the inside dining areas are clean and inviting. I'd say certainly give this independently owned and operated place a try! These are our opinions only and it is clear that they represent only our dining preferences."

"we had a great! overnight in boldthouse during our stay in houston. I don't write reviews in the rule, but now I felt necessary to share this. we were there with 3 teenagers and 3 adults on a Saturday night. Eating was really delicious and our waitress lydia was such a nice person. we would go back there anytime!"

"I had a large group party (60 people) scheduled to visit Valdo's. The staff and owner, Victor, were amazing to work with. They were prepared, had menu options translated for our party, had signage to welcome them, and that was walking in the door. The service from the staff was impeccable, even with a language barrier for the majority of the group. The food was outstanding, from the appearance and presentation to the temperature, we couldn't have been happier! I would highly recommend Valdo's, and I can't wait until our next visit."

"I purchased fish today from them, I have quite a few complaints regarding the fish and customer service, the fish wasn't cut properly, and from the looks of it you can tell the fish seemed to be old, and had an unusual fish scent. I had an encounterment with an employee who was also disrespectful, and lastly they are way overpriced."
