"I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant because of the excellent reviews, but I ended up being very disappointed. The roll I ordered contained three different types of fish, all minced together. Why? It was a terrible texture experience. I also ordered a roll with toro on top, which was also minced. Why again? I won't be returning to this restaurant because I feel like I wasted $55 on sushi that had the texture of baby food. The food was fresh, but the fact that the fish was minced should have been mentioned on the menu."

"I had a wonderful meal and experience at Tookie's Seafood. This place is fantastic! From the thoughtful design of the restaurant to the incredibly friendly staff, it's a great option for dining. Both the exterior and interior are well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I observed the staff interacting positively, sharing smiles and laughter with each other, which contributes to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. You definitely won't feel overlooked or ignored here. My meal was served in a timely manner, and the food was prepared exactly as I requested. The kitchen staff clearly knows their craft! I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner along with an ice-cold draft beer. I highly recommend Tookie's Seafood Restaurant for delicious food and cheerful service!"

"My wife and I visited on a late Monday night. Google indicated they were open until 10 PM, but the kitchen actually closes at 9 PM, so we had to place our order quickly. We opted for the Monday BOGO Pizza Special and tried the Tejas and Jambalaya pizzas. Both were really good and loaded with cheese. The restaurant offers a large menu with a great variety of craft beers. The staff was exceptionally friendly, even though it was late, and they made sure we felt welcomed. We would definitely return!"

"TL:DR... Good food. Great service (ask for Ryan, tip him well. Inside has higher tables and chairs. It was chilly but we sat outside. It was nice outside because they have ac. Don't get there too late. Try the coconut shrimp. Try the crispy Brussels sprouts. We came here tonight (July 4th for my sister's birthday and it was a great experience. We sat outside because my mom and I don't like bar-height seating. We were not really wanting to sit outside because it's July in Texas which is HOT... however, the outside deck is somewhat closed in at times and there is ac outside too. It was really nice and it didn't feel like we were outside. We enjoyed watching some boats park while we were eating. Our service was fantastic. Ryan was our waiter and he was not only helpful with the menu, but he had some great suggestions as well. There was 3 of us. We all got fried shrimp. My sister had the coconut shrimp. I would get both again, but the coconut shrimp was definitely the better choice! The truffle au gratin potatoes were good, the veggies were good, but the crispy Brussels sprouts were by far the best option. I'm so glad I got them! Because we were celebrating my sister's birthday, she got a free dessert. She went for the cheesecake and it did NOT disappoint. My mom got the crème brûlée and it was SO good. We just got back from a cruise 2 weeks ago and the crème brûlée on the ship had NOTHING on this one. I would get either one of these desserts again. It was right after 6 when we arrived and I'm glad we got there at an earlier time because it was easy to find parking and also the restaurant started filling up towards the end of our meal. They didn't have a wait list yet, but I'm sure it was coming. I don't know whether it's due to the holiday or just their normal traffic. We also found out that they have a whole new menu starting tomorrow so I look forward to going back to try some new things. All in all, I'm happy I ate here and I'm excited to go back."

"I can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant until now because I absolutely love it! We've been here many times and have never experienced bad service. The place is always clean, including the restrooms, and they have a lovely patio area. Almost everything I've tried here has been fantastic. The gyro burrito and the triple dip appetizer are a couple of our favorites. Their Bloody Mary is to die for, and it's only $5 during Sunday brunch. Today, we ordered the gyro burrito and a soup flight. I wasn't a fan of the poblano potato soup, but I really enjoy their gyro chili and French onion soup. The soup flight was just $14!"
