"The service we received at this restaurant was very friendly and attentive. We chose to split the antipasti for one, which was simple with only cold cuts and two slices of provolone, but it lacked dressing. My companion ordered the lasagne, which was a good size and delicious, although he was informed that it was meatless when it wasn't. I decided on the Veal Marsala with mushrooms, which was tasty and had tender veal (something rare in most restaurants). The portions were generous and reasonably priced. Despite not being in my neighborhood, I would probably come back again."

"I ordered through Grubhub and have tried many sushi restaurants, but this one has truly captured my heart. The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious. My only complaint is the soft shell crab, which I find a bit overcooked for my liking. Aside from that, all of the specialty sushi rolls are fantastic! They also do a great job of packaging everything well. I plan to keep ordering from this place and nowhere else. I'm excited to try dining in for the first time soon. Service: Delivery."

"I am excited for June 5th when David Beasley will be performing at this restaurant! It has been highly recommended for its generous portions, and I personally know the entertainer. If you are looking for a delicious meal and an afternoon filled with classic hits from the 50s and 60s, you should definitely join us."

"Each meal comes with a choice of salad or soup, and I highly recommend the miso soup; it's by far my favorite. While everything I've tried has been good, the miso soup really stands out. I'm currently following a keto diet, and this place was perfect for that. I had the teriyaki beef, which came with rice and vegetables on the side, making it easy to stick to my diet. Additionally, I appreciated that the salad came with the dressing on the side, allowing me to control how much I used. The beef was juicy and tender, and the portion size was just right. My friend ordered the chicken teriyaki and was thrilled with it. The sushi was amazing—super fresh and incredibly tasty! She also got the shrimp tempura, and I could hear the crunch from across the table. Service was top-notch; we didn't have to wait long for our server to take our order, and they checked in on us several times throughout our meal. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and very clean. There is a bar area that was empty during our visit, so hopefully, they'll start serving alcohol soon. Overall, it's a great place for some delicious noodles and drinks!"

"I used to go here a lot for over a year. Not sure what happened but the past couple of months, the few times I stopped by, the drink I got did not seem like it was properly mixed. There would be times when the drink would taste super sweet, then flavorless on the next sip. It also seems like the drink as a whole went down a lot in quality, including the tapioca. I used to go out of my way to get a drink here but it is not worth it anymore. The bubble tea here is easily the worst one out of 9 that I have been through in NJ so far."

"The fried seafood here is fantastic, with everything cooked to order. Unlike some other places, the seafood has a great flavor on its own, so there's no need to drown it in sauces. We tried the coconut shrimp, jalapeño poppers, the Titanic, the Oceantastic, and the hush puppies. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the hush puppies—they were too doughy and lacked flavor. The jalapeño poppers felt more like fried dumplings or mini empanadas, and they weren’t very impressive. Stick with the seafood, and you won't be disappointed. The portion sizes are generous; each combo platter is more than enough for two people."

"For the high price, overall experience and meal were disappointing. It was a very, busy Sunday afternoon and no valet was available upon our arrival (parking lot was jammed). I had halibut that was overcooked and my salad was mostly lettuce. Myfriend enjoyed his fish and chips, but only ate the fish. It is always a treat to be looking out at the water on a brilliant, sunny day, but we were seated inside at a window overlooking the outside bar/grill, so I saw a lot of smoke ruined theambiance. Tables inside the restaurant were too close together and everything felt tight. Service was good, not great. Really disappointed that there was no outside dining option (even though I made that request on my Open Table reservation andwas never called about it). The Alderbrook dock seemed to be the major draw and the hotel catered to that group; thus thebar/grill. Alderbrook is an easy 45 minute drive from my home, but not sure I will return...prefer to spend time and moneytrying different restaurants in Seattle."

"This cafe has potential but comes up short for me. Pros: The overall vibe is cozy casual cafe. There are mismatched chairs, and plush couches/seats, books, games. There are cozy corners to tuck into and larger tables where you can spread out a little more. The staff is super friendly and the desserts and drinks are tasty. Cons: The lighting for me is way too low...bordering on dark not cozy. The food though is very hit or miss and pricey. I really want to like it and have given it a chance (I've been here about 5 times) and any food (non dessert) ordered was bland or burnt unfortunately. The MAIN issue and the most unfortunate is that is smells really bad and it has every time I've gone in. Unfortunately I can't recommend because its hard to enjoy eating in a place that smells so bad. Maybe do a takeout/pickup order to at least give it a try."

"Went here on a whim and to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. We (2 people ordered the small mix grill to split. Every single bite was absolutely delicious. Even with the two of us eating until the point we were full (maybe even a little past?. , we still had leftovers to take home. To top it off, all of the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning in the near future and recommend you give it a try as well!"

"This place is usually convenient for me. Lately, twice already, I ask to purchase bread with my side of meatballs and I get told No, or that they don’t have bread, even thou I can see the bread, the afternoon has just started, and they have a line of people about to order sandwiches. Like just charge as me as a sandwich if you have to, or charge me for a full loaf, but I would like bread with my meatballs and I don’t want them together as a sandwich. What’s the big deal if I’m willing to pay?"

"This was our first visit and we were very happy. The pretzel bites were amazing and the beer cheese was really tasty. All of our meals were great. My son was a bit overwhelmed by the large portion of the chicken and waffles and was super excited about the cayenne syrup. Super tasty. This place will definitely be going on the dinner rotation!! "Why buy factory or franchise ice cream when the Magic Fountain [is family owned] has fresh homemade including Italian ice which to me tastes like the kind I use to get in NYC pizza shops. 30 yrs in the same spot gotta mean they're doing it right."

"Cute little deli with pizza/salads/appetizers as well as delicious ice cream and coffee with a drive through window. They sometimes have live music, and their indoor bar/seating has a great vibe/atmosphere. The staff is nice and deals with all the super bizarre local characters very patiently. The pricing is tourist trap pricing, so be prepared for that. We paid way more for two ice cream cones then we would anywhere else I think it was $16. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and ice cream along with regular menu. There is outdoor seating and some indoor as well that can be for families/not at bar."

"the first time here for a family dinner with my man and son. we really enjoyed it. jesus was our waiter and he was amazing, friendly and personal. he made great recommendations to entrées and desserts. he has been in the restaurant for 20 years and is understandable on the menu. I had the manzo, meerrote filet mignon with wild mushrooms red wine reduction. it was perfectly boiled and tenderly my son ordered the gondolas, delicious. we ordered a bottle duckhorn (merlot), one of my favorites. for dessert we enjoyed the homemade mango sorbet (personally popular if they wish a refreshing dessert), warm valrhona chocolate cake with vanilla bohneneis and carrot cake with coffee ice cream. I can't wait to get back!"

"We chose to sit at the bar and were greeted by Candida, who informed us that it was $9 burger day—every burger comes with a side for just $9 instead of the usual $11 or $12. My husband ordered the Boonedocks Burger with a side of broccoli. The burger was fresh, large, and delicious, and he was thrilled that they prepared the broccoli to his liking—nice and soft. The sliders we tried were some of the biggest I’ve ever seen, and the pretzel bites were absolutely fantastic. Throughout the restaurant, there are chalkboards displaying information on specials, featured items, clever comments, and even some artwork. Behind the bar, there’s a board that shares the Wi-Fi password along with the name of the bartender on duty—such a clever touch! The bar is equipped with purse hooks, which is extremely convenient. Overall, the atmosphere, comfort, food, service, and staff were all exceptional. If we find ourselves in this area again, we would definitely return!"

"Haven't been to Hagie's in awhile, so stopped on our way back into town on a Sunday evening. Dining options seem to be limited after 3p on Sunday's in the area, but we were happy with our choice. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. The toasted rav's were good, but could use a nice sprinkle of parmesan to take them up a level. My husband ordered the Sunday dinner special BBQ pork steak, which was a bit overdone, as you can see, and dry. I think they should go with a thicker cut of pork, as it was in the thin side. His dinner salad was good sized and even had small florets of broccoli and cauliflower pieces. I ordered the steak sandwich which had great flavor and was easy to eat without a fork or knife. I would only suggest a more substantial bread option, like a hoagie roll, as the grilled sourdough wasn't really grilled enough and got soggy on the bottom pretty quick. Overall, the taste on everything was good and we'll be back."

"T's Liquor Lane is AMAZING! My husband and I got married February 2022 and T's Liquor Lane did our open bar and they DELIVERED! As the bride, they made sure I always had my drink of choice available when I wanted it, they were fun, enthusiastic, and everyone at our wedding talked about how great their drinks were how fast they were at making them! Very reasonably priced, and awesome policy where you only pay for what is opened and take home opened bottles at the end of the night. Highly recommend."

"CarMichael Pugliese, maybe you are mistaken this restaurant/subshop for the low-quality food you typically find at 7 Eleven or Subway. I am originally from Elizabeth and have visited this place multiple times over the years for their fresh subs. I have never had any issues with the staff or the freshly prepared subs. It has been a while since I last visited due to moving out of state, but I am planning on going back the week of October 18th. I am willing to drive 3.5 hours from New York to enjoy the fresh food and great service that I always experienced there. Perhaps your dissatisfaction stems from comparing it to the fast food joints you mentioned. The best subs in Union County can be found here. I look forward to visiting soon and leaving with a satisfied belly and a smile on my face."
