"Great, fast service. Food is pretty good too. Yummy salads and free rolls, also yummy, out in minutes after you order. For entrees I like the rib eye and my husband likes scallops, which they have when they can get them. Servings of scallops are quite small. We always get and enjoy triple chocolate cake for dessert."

"Loved the food and our server was wonderful! I highly recommend the octopus appetizer! The only reason I didn’t leave 5 stars is that the hostess was very cold to us when we walked in with 2 children before 5pm and seemed shocked we didn’t have a reservation despite the restaurant being empty the entire time we dined. There were also zero people dining here with children and most seemed unhappy we were there, which felt odd being that we dine in much nicer restaurants than this with our children and have never had this attitude. I wouldn’t dine here with children if you are traveling through- maybe get carry out or try lunch. "I would like to love Twisted Laurel. Weaverville has a few very good restaurants, and it would be nice to have more. My husband and I have tried TW a few times, mainly because they are open till 10PM. Unfortunately, the food isn 't good and the service is worse.We always try different things from the menu, hoping to get lucky and something will make us want to come back. The food is just a poor quality and doesn 't even look good when they sit it in front of you. I 'm sure most of it is frozen and they just undercook soggy fried it and send it out to turn over tables. The only thing worse is the service. I would love to have my drink delivered before my appetizer, but did not get it until our dinner was served. Having been in the business, I know there is more profit in drinks, both soft and cocktails. Plus cocktails raise the check total. But when you have to wait for it, all you want to do is go somewhere else. That 's what we will do. NEVER GOING BACK It hasn 't mattered when we were there or where we sat. It 's always BAD! Recently received a request from this restaurant regarding my review. They wanted me to come by so they could make things right. They even said their food is made there and not frozen. Even more reason not to go back. Lousey chef!"

"I arrived at this restaurant around 11am and found it to be a little crowded, but not too bad. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The records painted on the wall were a nice touch. Upon entering, you wait in line, receive a menu from a server, and place your order. I ordered the French toast, which was absolutely delicious and my top choice for a tasty treat. The French toast was crispy, drizzled with a sweet sauce, and topped with oranges and craisins, making it very sweet. I also had a pumpkin latte with oat milk, which is a great option for those who are lactose intolerant or vegan. My mom ordered the avocado toast and her boyfriend had the huevos rancheros, both of which were excellent choices. I believe that anything on the menu is a winner, as everything was so delicious and flavorful. I would definitely visit this restaurant again. It was my first time in North Carolina, and I highly recommend having breakfast here if you are in Asheville."

"Our waitress mistakenly brought the wrong order to our table, and when we pointed it out, she rolled her eyes and insisted it was correct. I decided to take it anyway, and she turned away abruptly with our order. A moment later, another waitress came back with the correct order and mentioned that the rest was on its way. This was a completely new experience for me at this establishment. As we were leaving, I wished the rude waitress a good day, but she just gave me a dismissive look. With so many excellent dining options in North Asheville and Weaverville, I don’t think I’ll be returning to this restaurant."

"We stopped by for lunch during the holidays looking for a quick meal and were delighted to find this charming spot on the Downtown Weaverville strip, housed in a lovely exposed brick building. The place was clean and filled with cute gifts and decorations, featuring everything from llama stuffed animals to comic books and Sasquatch mugs. The gentleman who assisted us at the counter was extremely polite and very helpful. The food was excellent, especially the soup, which was outstanding. The coffee was also top-notch. We will definitely return and mark this place for future visits, as it was a wonderful surprise and just what we needed on a rainy day. Our order included an oat milk Americano, a chicken salad spinach wrap, a bowl of sweet potato curry soup (which was vegan), and a side of fries. They even serve beer! Everything was delicious, and we would give it a solid 5 stars."

"My daughter and I stumbled upon Papa Dogs and she immediately turned to me and said, "Daddy, let's go!" Anything involving dogs, and I'm there! The staff at this restaurant are incredibly sweet and thoughtful, making us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. I ordered the Turkey Pesto Panini with everything on it, and it was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be returning because exceptional customer service like this is hard to come by. "Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. The server was very nice and kind, so thought off to a good start. I ordered a big steak noodle soup bowl, it didnt have really any taste, very, very, blah. "I have had Daisy as my server three times now, and each time I've been disappointed. She's often on her phone, doesn't provide drink refills, and tends to sit down when she should be attending to customers. As someone who works as a server and assistant manager in different restaurants, I find this quite surprising. While she is nice and polite, her focus on customer service needs improvement. "As a local resident living just 10 minutes away, I've been a dedicated fan of this restaurant since it opened. My previous office was right across the street, which gave me the opportunity to sample everything on the menu, and I can confidently say that everything is excellent! I've traveled extensively, but their burger is by far the best I've ever tasted. The fish and chips are outstanding, and the greens are always fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly, and it's great to see the owners actively involved—he’s the chef and she runs the front of house. That level of hands-on quality control is hard to find these days, and it's something I truly appreciate. I’m thankful they are a part of our community!"

"When my husband and I drove from Redding to pick up my credit card, we decided to have dinner on the patio. The setting was beautiful, and the misters provided a refreshing relief from the heat. I ordered the fish and chips, which were absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak calzone very much as well! Our waitress, Bethany, was wonderful and provided us with excellent service. We will definitely be coming back, and we’re already looking forward to it! Thank you once again for the great service, delicious food, and for your honesty in returning my credit card! Oh, and the spinach salad I had for lunch was outstanding too! "Some of the best Mexican food around. The Impa enchiladas came in the California brown sauces which u think is not as good as a red sauce (I like the red better). Combination of enchiladas, was really good. I had a cheese, beef, beans, and chicken. All were very tasty. All the dishes we ordered were great. I kind of like that. not only do they give you chips and salsa. they also give you refried beans with your chips. That’s not usual but very welcome."

"I visited the drive-thru at the Weaverville location, and while the food was quite good, they were out of a staple item. Typically, this location is reliable and worth the visit, but not this time. On my last trip to a Bojangles, which was at the Woodfin drive-thru, the food was excellent, and the service was rated a solid 5. For this visit, the meal was dinner, and I spent between $10 and $20. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 and the service a 4."

"Great food, however pricey for Chinese food. That said, portions are filling and the staff are very accommodation with special/custom orders. Many options are available if requested. Vegetarian options: Many options and abilities to customize your order. Kid-friendliness: Staff all have kids and are accommodating for children. Watched a kid basically through more food then eat and the staff said they knew how it was with little ones. Never complained and carried on. Parking: If available, parking on main Street is the best but spots are available around the back. Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible for those with special access needs. Dietary restrictions: Will work with most conditions but alot is sea food in the dishes so would have to be mindful about allergies."

"Four of us ate in together and they brought out only 2 of our meals at a time. The other 2 of us waited at least 30 minutes for ours. We would have liked to have eaten together but instead the ones with food eventually just ate it cold when we were STILL waiting for the rest. Cupcake pancakes came out plain with only icing (see pics for what I got versus IHOP's pic) and they STILL upcharged me for it without addressing the fact that what is pictured is not what I had ordered. Hash browns tasted like burnt grease and coated my mouth with oil. The bacon was just chewy fat. Any decent manager wouldn't have charged us at all. An absolute disaster of a meal."

"I get the buffet carry out maybe once a month. It’s important to go at certain times of the day, otherwise you will have quite a selection of food that’s been sitting out too long. I normally go within an hour of opening time or within an hour of dinner rush. It’s a small buffet but there are some very good items when the food is fresh. Could it be improved? Sure. They could offer more vegetables, the staff could be friendlier. I see the same 3-4 people working there whenever I go and assume they’re all overworked, which could explain the lack of friendliness. For the price, I can’t complain."

"From the moment we walked in we felt appreciated. Greeted with smiles and a lovely table with such an attentive staff (yet never interfering with our evening). Nice selection of cocktails and wine list. The Aperol spritz was my choice for this summer’s day. The salad special was peach, arugula, goat cheese with toasted nuts which they were happy to split and bring us two plates. Oh my and the rolls!! Totally worth the carbs!! Toasty and soft with garlic and olive oil. Perfect blend without too much garlic. Dinner was a tough choice but went with the trout in a delicate butter sauce. Mild and flaky. Also had the chicken Marsala. Honestly should have taken a picture. It was a masterpiece and presented nicely. Moist inside with crispy skin and lots of veggies. For dessert had to have the crème brûlée which was a nice portion with a hefty sugar crust! We had to also get the toasted coconut cake which was divine. All desserts are in house made and both of ours came with real whipped cream. Our server Monica was a delight and it’s obviously a team effort with any staff member willing to accommodate and anticipate any need. First time but will definitely be returning. This place is a GEM. Lots of free local parking on street and across the street is a free municipal lot. Well behaved children would most likely be welcome but we didn’t see any during our visit. A few tables outside on sidewalk and also several seats at the bar which looked like a good option for couples."

"I 'm so glad I read so many good things about Stoney Knob Cafe. After a year or so of wanting to go, I finally made it to celebrate a 10 year Frien-versary!(I read in previous reviews suggesting reservations- definitely make them if you decide to go on a Saturday night) We were seated immediately.The ambiance was eclectic and cozy! We sat in the diner area. Our waitress was the best. She was so nice, efficient, knowledgeable, communicated often, and went over and beyond! We had 2 appetizers: Grilled Mediterranean Octopus the Duck Egg Rolls. 3 Entrees: Mamma Minnie 's Deep Dish Pizza, The Lamb Shank with mashed potatoes, and Sea Bass over Fettuccine with a tomato vodka sauce and asparagus. We also had 2 desserts: Key Lime Pie and Baklava Ice Cream Cake. Seriously, everything was fantastic!! Everything came out in perfect timing (Note: if you do get the Deep Dish Pizza it takes about 20 minutes to cook- we were already aware because I had done my research but the waitress also told us...lol) *Side Note: We live about 40 minutes away and were going to a movie after, so we brought a cooler (left in our car)knowing this .. our waitress was so kind and was boxing as we asked labeled everything without us asking and was so helpful.love love 10/10!!!"
