"This restaurant has truly come back to its former glory, and it’s exactly why I started dining here in the first place. The staff is always incredibly kind and friendly, whether you’re dining in or calling to place a takeout order. They genuinely are some of the nicest people you’ll meet. The establishment itself is consistently clean, which adds to the overall pleasant experience. One downside I've heard from many is that the restaurant doesn’t have the most appealing exterior, but that's perfectly fine — they’re missing out on some exceptional food. Even my close friends have shared that sentiment. After I’ve been raving about this place for a couple of years, they finally stopped by a few weeks ago after shopping at the local flea market. Now they’re hooked and amazed by the quality and taste of the food! I've also been visiting more often lately, as evidenced by my three visits just this past week. Another fellow yelper from Newtown also remarked on the appearance of the outside, but again, that's not a concern for me. If an attractive exterior is a high priority for you, you might want to look elsewhere. However, when I dine out, I prioritize quality and flavor, which is what this restaurant delivers. Every sushi dish here is bursting with flavor. One bite and you’ll understand why so many of us keep coming back. This place is definitely a must-try; you won’t be disappointed. They offer regular seating as well as a sushi bar where you can watch the sushi master at work, which is a treat in itself. The prices are reasonable, and there’s plenty of parking available, making it easy to get in and out of the lot and back onto Route 34."

"We sampled a variety of items from the menu, including drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and fairly priced. We particularly enjoyed the empanadas, especially the beef, which turned out to be the favorite among us. Everything tasted incredibly fresh – even the salad was bright and crisp, almost as if it had just been picked from a garden. For our main courses, we tried the ribs, fried chicken, skirt steak, fried cod, wings, salmon, and shrimp Alfredo, and every single one of us was satisfied with our choice. The service was outstanding, with two family members attending to us promptly and ensuring we had everything we needed. We also loved the music selection during our meal – a delightful Motown medley that transitioned into some of Prince’s early hits. It brought back fond memories for my mom, aunts, and uncle, and we were almost tempted to turn the evening into an impromptu karaoke session! The night was rounded off perfectly with a delicious dessert. We chose the banana pudding cake and carrot cake, and I must say, the banana pudding cake is a must-try! As a baker and a connoisseur of banana pudding desserts, I can confidently give it my seal of approval. Don’t miss out on the banana pudding cake! My family will be returning next year for another Yale graduation, and HerSoul will definitely be on our list again. While I genuinely hope this restaurant becomes a popular destination so it can thrive, I secretly hope we won’t have any trouble making reservations next year!"
