"Since a few times back, the food is fresh and changes daily and is incredibly tasteful. We always sit at the bar when we can, and this place has only four seats in total at the bar. So it is not a place for people who like to socialize and have cocktails and eat. But the service at the bar was excellent and so was five stars. Navid was in the bar every time he serves us and he is unbelievable! So attentive and accommodating?? The choice of alcohol is eclectic and focuses on small batch distillates and local families. I didn't have any alcohol this day because we were there for lunch, so I can't comment on her choice. The kitchen is open to the restaurant and very busy, and the room has nothing to absorb noise. Thus even people who speak in normal tones seem to be loud and intrusive. The objects we tried several times were excellent. But the sausage paste, which is one of her staples, wasn't my pleasure? Just because it's not my kind of court. the grain bread was amazing, chicken was juicy and tasty, The Burrata salad with pesto was incredible. So the things I tried at the end were excellent with the exception of the sausage pasta, but this is my own taste preference. I'm sure some people would just love it. We went back and I had the salmon brilliant, the goat cheese Toast omg amazing, spanikotta incredible? And I am literally with trout toast? Overall, it is a great place for a delicious meal. They moved from a much smaller space with a very inspiring and cramped space and so this is clearly better?. Overall, definitely try? for a great taste."

"I wish this review could be better. Boccaccio's is a long-established restaurant on the lake in Westlake Village. My husband chose it as the spot to celebrate his birthday. We went early on a Sunday night, thinking we would beat the crowds and have a table on the large patio overlooking the lake. Alas, early, on a Sunday night is when everyone went (by 7pm, when we were leaving, there were several empty tables). We were given a table inside at the window. Ok. Then we sat for half an hour before any employee approached our table. We managed to get menus before that only because my husband snagged them off of a table where they were stacked. We were ready to order when the server finally arrived. Things moved along fairly well after that, but they were out of the entree I had decided on and I had to quickly change my order. The food was so so. We've eaten there before, but not for a while so things have changed a bit, I guess. When we finished eating, we waited for a while for the food to be boxed (servings were enormous) and then, after the server brought the check, we waited another 20 minutes for someone to pick it up and run it. Yes, it was a busy night, but as I said, this is a long-established restaurant and I'm sure this is not their first busy Sunday night. I expected better from them. And, by the way, why, if the restaurant asks if this is a special event when one makes a reservation, is it then completely ignored? This seems to be a trend, not just at this restaurant. So, my advice, if you want to sit outside at the lake, go late. Indoors is noisy and not nearly as nice."
