"Located solely in Southern California, from the coast to the inland areas, Corky’s is known for its signature pies, which greet you as soon as you walk in. My personal favorite is the banana cream pie, but they also serve warm apple, blueberry, pumpkin, key lime, and cherry pies. Pairing it with ice cream is highly recommended. To cap off my meal, I ordered just one slice of pie, which was so generous that I couldn't finish it. It was perfectly chilled, with a wonderful whipped consistency that was neither too soft nor too firm. The banana slices were evenly distributed, and the crust was delightfully crisp instead of soggy. It made for a perfect ending to a delicious meal.
For my main course, I chose the bacon and cheese omelet along with chocolate pancakes and a side of hash browns. The bacon and cheese omelet was fantastic, made from four perfectly fluffed eggs seasoned with crispy bacon and plenty of cheese. Some might find the greasiness from the cheese off-putting, but it truly adds to the authenticity and flavor of the dish. Another signature item at Corky’s is the pancakes, known for their enormous size. A double stack consists of two pancakes that are the size of the plate! I can hardly finish one. They are wonderfully moist and can be enhanced with chocolate chips, making for a sweet breakfast treat—no syrup needed! I've never received a batch of pancakes that weren’t fluffy and perfectly cooked.
The hash browns are another highlight—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect with a bit of ketchup. What sets this place apart is its exceptionally large portions and friendly staff. A helpful tip is to order from the senior menu. Although it's meant for customers over 55, the staff is usually accommodating. You can enjoy most menu items at a reduced price and in smaller portions, which is great for those who want to manage their calorie intake. The service is excellent; you typically won't have to wait long, and my food arrived in about fifteen minutes! All the dishes are delicious and freshly prepared, with pies made daily. If you’re in the mood for a hearty sit-down meal, or just a quick slice of pie or a cup of coffee, Corky’s is always a great choice."
