"High prices for what you get $125 for 2 people with 1 $7 drink each. Steak $38) ordered medium rare came out literally charred/burnt. Fish $35) was way overcooked as well and very dry. 3 things we asked for were out of stock . Waiter was young and inexperienced, we had empty tea glasses for 20 minutes before we could find him to get refills. New head chef spent 20 30 minutes in the dining room talking to two tables of elderly couples Which was really all that was there. We are in our 50 's and were easily the youngest customers, and it was a Saturday night). Very limited side dishes. The waiter did say they were going to have a new menu soon, so maybe that will help. I 've been there for lunch several times, and it is always very good, but will NOT go for dinner again unless they make a lot of changes."

Food was excellent, as always. Two of the orders were incorrect though. Server seemed ablivious to the customer.

Came for a quite dinner date and food was excellent and service was memorable. Waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and helped with any questions we have. Will definitely be back!

It was opening night, and the restaurant seemed a bit unprepared. I plan to give it another chance in the future. This was also my first time making a reservation online, and it worked wonderfully. Thank you!

I go there every New Year's Eve with a friend and the prices were very high that night. I usually get a side of turnip greens, and they were not very good this year. The Souflima Pork Tenderloin was good as usual. View menu

All was good. My wife's steak was over cooked, but the other three meals were fine. I did mention in my reservation that it was my birthday, but it was not recognized. We are thinking about trying the Sunday Brunch.

For the type of place and value. One would think that the customer would not have to box up there own food. Also when we ordered drinks. We had to wait for the bartender to make them. As the server informed use on this

This is the second time I have a made a reservation for this restaurant on OpenTable to arrive and see the restaurant closed. All that was on the door was a cheap fast-food style hand written sign saying now closed for lunch and only open for dinner. If this is the case, then don't allow reservations for Sunday brunch. This place has gone so downhill over the past couple of years, and I should have known by the subpar overall rating now on OpenTable (a service of which they cannot even manage properly)! View menu

I can't recommend this place at the moment. I've been a loyal customer of Jim's Place for around 20 years, but they have recently sold it to Grisanti. If I wanted to dine at a Grisanti restaurant, I would have just made reservations at Franks. I was extremely disappointed not only because I didn't get the meal I wanted for my birthday, but I ended up having to leave and go somewhere else. The menu was frankly uninspiring, and they didn't even have a wine list available yet. I expected much more from this establishment.

It's really disappointing... I visited Jim's place last night after not going there for several years, only to find out that it has changed ownership. At 7:30 PM on a Friday, there were a lot of empty tables. The food was mediocre; my salad was quite watery, and the chicken livers were overly salty. I even had to ask the waiter for water refills. They included a gratuity on our bill (we were a party of six) but then told us we could add more if we wanted. It just isn’t the same Jim's as before. With so many fantastic restaurants in our town, they really need to improve.

"Quality not what it used to be. A year ago or so I wrote a reviewing liking this location. We got our usual to go this time (much like other times) and when my husband got home I was incredibly dissapointed. He said they were busy and looked disarrayed but it doesn't give them an excuse for giving us ****. The bartender ignored my husband when he tried to tell them he was there to pick up and saw the order come out and only after our order was sitting there for a while did he finally ask what he was there for. Now that's whatever as long as this pregnant lady gets her food. I eagerly open the box and what do I find? A few sweet potato fries, the avocado smothered on the burger soaking the bun, and no pickle. The bun was falling apart as soon as I tried to pick it up so I ate it with a fork and knife. Even the sauce cup barely had any sauce but enough I guess for the meager portion of fries I got! This makes me sad as we're regulars. That will no longer be true.<br/ <br/ <br/ 01 Aug, 2014 <br/ <br/ West coast burger sweet potato fries. I have gotten the west coast burger and sweet potato fries every single time I've gone there and my boyfriend has now copied my choice. I'm sure the other burgers are good too but if I have a craving for Huey's, that's what I get. Their onion rings are also good and huge but they are the type that the onion slips straight out of the breading. The lemon box cake thing made me very happy. If you want to go to any Huey's, the midtown location is the one to go to! Don't go to the downtown site. They were really rude both times we stopped by to get a to go order when we were on our bikes."
