"The restaurant had a hired photographer invading the privacy of the diners. We expressed to the manager that we were uncomfortable being photographed or our photo 's being used in their marketing materials. We were told they were blurring faces; however, we stated we were still uncomfortable and do not wish to participate. The photographer then went outside and continued taking photo 's directly at us. We spoke to the photographer directly who again stated that they would blurr faces. We were quite uncomfortable and not enjoying a peaceful meal and asked that he stop until we leave. The photographer said he was just doing his job and then brought the camera directly in front of our table and we could hear the Manager telling him that we weren 't going to like it; however, the photographer attempted to act as if he were taking photo 's the other direction and turned his camera directly on us. We again told them we were uncomfortable and to please stop. The Manager did nothing other than walk away. We immediately paid our check and left. The disrespect of how this was handled and to continue to make us uncomfortable during our meal was very disappointing."

"We are in town for New Years and a Chiefs game. Bristol’s was recommended by our Airbnb host and it did not disappoint. We made reservations for 6 top and arrived 15 minutes early and we were seated promptly. Adam was our waiter and was amazing. He is the reason for a solid 5 stars. He made great recommendations for us, kept our drinks filled at all times and cleared our table quickly after we finished with a serving. We started with cauliflower, calamari and oysters for appetizers. All three were very good, but the cauliflower stole the show. It was so good. Secondly, 3 of us had Cesar salads and they were great. The dressing is made fresh daily and it makes all the difference. My husband ordered the bisque and he was nice enough to swap with me halfway through because I loved the bisque when I tried his. For entrees we had a variety of things off the menu. One member of our party had the Tuna and said it was exceptionally good. Another had the filet and crab cake and loved both. He commented on the crab cake being the best he has ever had. Another member had the KC strip and said the flavor was great, but the steak was on the tough side. Another member had the chicken, it was a large serving and was very flavorful and good. The potatoes were a standout on this dish. I had the sea bass and it was okay. I’ve had better, but it was still pretty good. I didn’t finish all of it. It was. Bite rubbery and I probably wouldn’t order it again if I went back. Our last member decided on the lobster Mac and cheese. It was good, but not a stand out. Lastly we had cream brûlée for dessert. We are a bit of hard judges when it comes to crème brûlée and we would give this a 7/10. It needed a bit more toasting on the top. Over all we had a great evening with great friends along with exceptional serves from Adam. We will definitely come back if ever in KC."

"The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!"

"This was a terrible experience. The service was poor, inattentive, and the food was subpar, bland and unsatisfactory at best. (We ordered the cowboy ribeye, oysters Rockefeller, Campanella, seafood mixed grill, calamari, kids grilled cheese, kids shrimp, and mixed drinks. Sides were lobster Mac and cheese, broccolini, asparagus, mashed potatoes fries. The portions for the appetizer of calamari was laughable. Furthermore, the server (Amanda) overcharged by $80 for 5 items that we did not order. We didn’t recognize it until leaving, thus went back in to get a manager. We got credited back for the $80 overcharge but was met with a simple “sorry.” To top it off, we will not get credit for this visit given we forgot to give our rewards at the start of the dining. This was supposed to be a special experience and we will NEVER come back to this establishment and share with anyone who will listen about our experience and the food. Unpleasant service, terrible food, overpriced, inattentive staff!"

"It's a shame that they've closed down. The reason given was a rent increase, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's more to the story. The mall itself is losing its appeal as both a shopping destination and a residential area. Over the years, I've dined there many times and never had a bad piece of fish. While it was pricey, they often offered coupons and had great happy hour options that made it more affordable. I'm really sorry to see them go, and I'd love to see them open up in a different location."

"We decided to do Brunch at Brystols for my son's birthday celebration. The server was wonderful- prompt and explained the brunch stations and menu since this is our fist visit for brunch here. There was an excellent selection of breakfast, salad and desert offerings and a wonderful omlet staion and carving station as well. We did not leave hungry and the food was very good."

"Great experience! My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and immediately when we sat down our waiter said happy anniversary (marked that as an occasion on Open Table) Gram was so attentive kind and helpful in making our food and drink selections. The Blueberry Mojito was so good! We were a bit cold at the beginning and end of our meal (sitting still/not eating etc other than that great atmosphere. Everyone was so nice. We even got some fruit on a plate that had “Happy Anniversary” on it in chocolate. Definitely helped make this one of the best anniversaries we have had. Food was delicious but I personally would have preferred more cheese in my lobster fettuccine. Overall amazing experience everyone should go here!"

"overall the experience at firefly was pleasant. However, the food service was extremely slow. we sat at 5:30 a.m. and ordered at 6:00 a.m. our escapes were served only 7:30 a.m. this was not a mistake of our server, as it was extremely attentive and accommodating. I guess the kitchen was just overwhelmed, which was surprising for a Tuesday night. the music was very loud in the lounge area, but the manager was happy and quick to turn it on our request. the quality of the meal was excellent as the ambiente. "I've eaten here and got take out from here a bunch and the food is always delicious and abundant (2-3 meals worth). Service for dine in is always terrific and I suggest you hear the specials before ordering. The only area where they do not shine as brightly is the bar unfortunately. I don't recommend mixed drinks here but otherwise this is a fantastic spot, with convenient parking and excellent service. Take away is packaged exceptionally and I've never had a cold or spilled container and we order frequently. Parking: Inside a strip mall with a large free parking lot"

"The food is always delicious at Bristol. The service was over the top way too fast. I just ordered a martini, started to drink it and our food was out 5 minutes later. Bristol is a fine dining experience; not a drive thru restaurant. We would have been out of there in 30 minutes if I hadn’t told the waiter that we just wanted to enjoy our dinner, drinks and maybe order dessert a bit later. It wasn’t busy so I’m not sure the “rush job.” Very disappointed."

"This was an amazing experience! Here to celebrate a birthday dinner, Jackson?s was perfect! Thomas our waiter deserves a gold star for how amazing and wonderful he was for the duration of our meal. He gave great recommendations, took pride in his work, and was just an overall great man! My partner and I both opted for steaks. "Once again Mortons demonstrates it's inability to prepare a steak at medium temperature. It took two return trips to the cook and the end result was a filet mignon that was ruined. To their credit the other entree's were closer to what was desired and only one entree was cooked perfectly as ordered. Not the time this has happened nor the last I am afraid to say. You would have thought the ruined steak would have been removed from the bill but instead, a free desert was offered.
